With the Baptiste costume i think they might be going for a younger version of him. And i always thought that was feathers over the missing arm. One of the coolest Assassin outfits
I tried my hardest to remember the assassin outfits and other than a couple of legacy outfits and the main suit I completey forgot most of these existed so its cool to see, much love ma dood
I can imagine the discrepancies with the outfits of the ancestors being that they were simply reflections of separate times in their lifes, like before he lost his arm.
Mr. Willis, just a few comments/points of clarification: the reason that the 3 Assassins standing on the rooftop at the end of the movie (Cal, Lin, and Moussa) looked so drab with dark robes is because they had to dress like all the Templars attending the gathering in order to infiltrate and allow Cal Lynch to “retire” Alan Rikken. I’m glad there was no scene where 5 Assassins were standing on that rooftop because only 3 made it out of the Abstergo facility in Madrid when it got purged. Secondly, no one has ever commented on the woman that Sofia Rikken saw in the Animus when Cal was seeing his ancestors. That woman was dressed in Assassin robes and looked amazingly like Sofia. It is my theory that Sofia’s mother was an Assassin which could explain why Alan Rikken had such a hatred for them, kept this fact from his daughter, and was hellbent on destroying the Creed. Just my theory, given there was no explanation as to what happened to Sofia’s mother.
Ah, so it was practical of the escaped Assassins to be wearing all black robes bc of social stealth and not wanting to stick out. Makes sense unlike the Assassins from the games who propose the opposite in their appearances
@@BarbMcVay-u5l That’s a really great point about Sofia I totally forgot that we see her ancestor at the end! That also leans into the deleted scenes with Lara where she’s an Assassin raised by templars, perhaps they removed her character because they wanted Sofia to have that conflict instead
If I know anything about costumes in movies, I'd assume there were several versions of the Aguilar suit. I'm sure some of them the hood was cosmetic and others with a stiff-shaped hood that looks like normal material but actually isn't. These things are better for consistency, with a regular hood, you could film a really good shot that can be ruined by the costume not looking right.
The game characters outfits being slightly different doesnt bother me that much. I mean it can be explained by them using various similar robes across the years.
You're not alone. I do think that it would have been better as a show to give us more time with Aguilar and Maria. The historical periods are kind of what Assassin's Creed does to sell games, not the modern day.
@@ac_nerd9794 IKR? A fully historical movie/series with Aguilar and the Spanish Brotherhood would be amazing, because the historical parts were the highlights of the movie. Only thing i dont like about the movie is the Animus that shit look stupid lol
@@LinayatIlyas It was ok. The filmmaking was terrible, and there was barely personality. Despite the cool set pieces used, the combat was badly choreographed. While it was a decent attempt in making Assassins Creed on the big screen, it would have been better if it was a tv show, or even an animated series like Arcane.
@@GetOut1976 When the game first came out, it was called AC3 Liberation on the vita. When they did the HD version they shortened it to just AC Liberation
I really hope they make Marias outfit a leagcy oufit for Naoe in Shadows

@@41streclaimer Admittedly they’re not very memorable, I wish they’d gone a bit further with the designs in general tbh
Let's Go! This one I'm kinda curious about, because i haven't seen it in a minute, but remember having some strong opinions on certain designs

This was a great video, i think the syndicate timeline outfit looks sick, i would absolutely wear that
Thank you for the in depth analysis on such a niche subject
Thanks!

It is called "Assassin's Creed Liberation" not "Assassin's Creed III Liberation". Why do so many people forget Liberation was never part of AC III?
