Dude what a wild thing to say instead of just “good job!”😂 also totally feel you on getting faster just to spend less time running, that’s always my main motivation to run
This is so real lmfaooo. I've been participating in a marathon training program at school for the past two years. (Last year I didn’t get to because of my age.) Previously, my focus was solely on competing with others and trying to be the fastest, which only led to burnout, feelings of guilt, and a serious injury. I never enjoyed running and maintained a 15-minute pace. However, this year, my perspective shifted; I began to prioritize the enjoyment of running and building endurance after recovering from my injury. I found myself feeling relaxed and actually wanted my runs to last longer, which was a refreshing change. Surprisingly, this new approach has made me faster, and I'm now averaging a 12-13 minute pace. I no longer care if others view that as slow; my goal is simply to complete the marathon without exploding.
Happy for you!! It’s so much more fun to just run just for the run. My only goal is to get to the finish line without my body falling apart, and it makes it so much more enjoyable to train for haha
The fact that you casually went out and ran 10 miles is AMAZING! And when you are training for a race, you should be running at a slower pace, so you are doing great! Good job on your half-marathon 🏅 You are incredibly funny, and I loved the video. Please keep them coming! Also, I would buy that shirt!
i swear i was soaring earlier, checked my pace - it was 14’05” 😂 and it felt good so i don’t care!!! running 10 miles is an achievement to most people regardless of time, i’m glad you’re proud of yourself (:
So glad the algorithm suggested your video - love everything about this. Apparently I’m also a jogger, and proud of it - but would LOVE to improve my pace. Following your journey!
This is so relatable. I did 2 a days for 2 years and my fastest was like 9 mins. But when I am just normal working out it’s like 12-13 minutes. I just can’t move like a fast runner can. My joints don’t let me 😂
You're a runner, you might be slow, you might be fast but you put running shoes on and go for a run. Humans have two gaits - walk and run. Ignore Wikipedia, it's fundamentally incorrect from a physiological perspective. My wife's just as much a runner as me despite there being an close to an hour between our respective HM PBs. I really dislike people who judge others based on pace.
You're still a runner even if you jog or take walk breaks. 😎 You were doing a half marathon. What did he just expect you to keep Eliud kipchoge's pace the entire time. Lol

My pace is like 15 min/mile! 😢😂 I do feel weird saying I “run”. But who knew I legitimately am too slow to be called a runner! Keep it up! 🎉
Love your vibe. Subscribed.

It’s so hard! Every time I try to keep a faster pace my heart rate is like 180 haha
@ are you taller by any chance? I have a theory it’s because I’m 5’10” 🦵
