My wife's current 2018 f150 is also having a water leak issue at the sunroof and b pillar ....our American rigs leak when you cut the roof open also ...lol
Any experience with 2009 grand Cherokee. While doing approximately 80mph for an hour. Screen said, due to overheating performance temp disabled. Now it says service 4wd.? Thanks !

I added duck bill drains to the storage in the Journey we have because they were holding water. Even in vehicles without sunroofs you get wet clothes/shoes and melting snow. It all seeks the lowest point.

Great video. Don’t buy Ford Explorers with a sun / moon roof. The tiny drain holes get plugged with dirt and sand. The result is the interior gets stained and then the track locks up. No openings in the roof, please. Thanks for the video.

Is a 2007 Jeep have the box in the same location? Mine tells me the 4 wheel drive solenoid needs replacement. I hardly ever use the 4 wheel drive. HOWEVER the light came on shortly after a computer grade.
I had a grand Cherokee that came in for a battery replacement and when I opened the panel under the seat it was full of water, it didn't even have a sun roof so I still dont know where that water came from

I have a 2012 grand cherokee limited with Quadra Trac 2 .. mine is stuck in Neutral tried the method were u put it in Neutral press the N buttom but all I hear is the transfer case clicking but won't turn it off or get it off Neutral. I can drive the truck but my front wheels don't engage and my knob selector does not work. I replaced the control module but still no luck. I don't t have any lights on the dashboard whatsoever. Could it be the transfer case motor ? Anyone ? Thanks
I have this problem right now. I toke it somewhere to get it fix and the guy said he fixed it a day later my light came back on. So basically he didn't really fix the problem. But I'm confused what he did for it to go off but have it come back on? Is this the only reason why it would come on because of water?
This guy remined me of trevor from GTA V. Awesome vid though. I just bought the same year and model. and noticed the service 4WD light. ! vid said the trancfer case is bad upwards od 2 to 3 grand repair. but MANY point to the modula. Fingers crossed lol

My 2013 grand cherokee had 4WD serv light on. Took it to the dealer and they updated the software. Problem gone and it feels brand new with more power.
@Len Len it was for free, it was not the the problem at the end though. Had to go a shop to fix it. The issue was related with the transmission, internal parts damaged. Cost: 1200
There is a drain plug between your front and rear passenger seat pull it out and the water will come poring out it. The water is under the front passenger seat compartment where the battery is. I think its from the air conditioner drainage.

Just replaced a cracked head.. it did the same thing, found out the BLOCK was cracked too! 7k all together! I can't afford this shit, and if it'll run without it, I NEED to! Just to work!
That's really to bad for the owner. Water intrusion and rodents can really wreak havoc on expensive electronics. I'm guessing that was an easy diag. :)

Ken Schmidt - Unfortunately in some (most?) vehicles you have no option at all with the sunroof, it’s standard. Plus they are getting bigger and bigger!
To be fair,Mercedes had nothing to do with this model Jeep. In fact Mercedes lost lots of money in the whole Daimler-Chrysler deal. This Jeep was probably built under Fiat. Either way,many are quick to judge European car makers,like they’re the inventors of sunroofs...perhaps they are... 😁Seriously speaking,I agree with the whole “ hate the sunroof “ thing! They’re useless and just one more area for the water to get in. And trust me when I tell you,it’s not just European cars that leak through the sunroof.

Saturn Outlook/GMC Acadia had similar issue. It took out the airbag module and interior fuse box.

Common issue. The s10 and Colorado had same issue and would take out the module as well from water getting in. This is with no sunroof.

the wire, once wet continues to rot --
the connectors were never under water, only the bottom of the modules hit the water, and the harness was above the water line
