I wish there was a way to turn on your pc or steam deck using steam link. Im aware with WOL (Wake On Lan) but its not working for me for some reason. On the other hand, everything simply works with Xbox. Remote play with xbox is surprisingly good and i wish steam worked the same way.

You maybe got to check if you got the audio drivers setup correctly in windows audio settings. It should switch automatically to them when starting remote play on your device
I can’t get it connect to my iPhone XS or Samsung s9, there’s always the same error message when I select the desktop and tap connect 🥲 could be windows 11 issue ?
I have a surface duo i am trying to get a touch pad app to act as the mouse since it doesn't do the dual screen well it has been a challange any chance you can find a way to do this
Remote play does work when away from your pc, you just need it to be on with steam open, I've tried from a minimum of 8 miles away using mobile data and it worked for me, so it should be fine!

Are you using a Bluetooth controller? A lot of phones share Bluetooth/wifi on the same chip, and will lower the power of one or both when controllers are connected. Might want to see it using it wired with Bluetooth turned off causes the same issue.

Distance, strength of WiFi, maybe smth else but those are probably the main factors
