G.I. Joe Classified: Gung-Ho - Can I make him "better"? Basic kitbashing!

- In this episode I attempt to kitbash my ideal version of Gung-Ho using WAY too many figures!
this idea was hatched from watching my buddy @ratface44 do the same.
I think ours are different enough to get others thinking what they can do with these figures.
also I would like to give Bad Mother Tattoos a shout out. I have used their waterslide decals in another video, and can't wait to improve this Gung-Ho with more of their awesome stuff!

I like the dark green gung ho but the light green nerf guns he came with are terrible…..I spray painted them black and they look a lot better I just keep ‘em clipped into the backpack so you can’t tell how corny they look and he’s got other realistic Guns in his hands 👍🏻I left his back back green
I did something similar. I used accessories from Valaverse's Sargent Slaughter Ver 2. The vest, the hat, the gun, and the knife from Sgt Slaughter Ver 1.

IS their a way you can just Change the color to the same color as the pants? For the Valaverse shirt? Personally, doesn't really fit with the Teal and Dark Olive. Really cool though!
I could probably try some RIT dye, for synthetics. Just a quick dip in black to darken it. Or maybe just dark green dye... Great question! Now you got me thinking! 😂
The retro one looks more like Gung-Ho regarding the portrait, even if you change everything else.

I have the tiger for outback and it’s true and my python patrol B.A.T. They both have stiff legs I don’t mess with them too much. I did the hot water still tight so I don’t know how to fix it. Why did they make gung ho that color I with never understand that one.
The bright color gung ho is a nod to the original ARAH colors in the 80s.

Yea cool I really don’t understand people who don’t open things. The stuff will most likely never be worth enough to change your life and all you can do is stare at it. I can do that in a store . Opening the product is usually why people buy them. But everyone is unique and can do as they please.

I prefer the retro or the Wal Mart exclusive because he looks much better and he is closer to the filmation. The colors too just the nastalgia.

I don't have serpentor (yet!) But I will see what I can do to improve. There are a couple things that stick out at me!

Just get the Marine cover on the Classified and its perfect. Teal is so stupid.
I mean I wouldn't go so far as to say it's stupid, but its certainly a bit too loud for me. I appreciate what hasbro did here, it just needs to be toned down *slightly*.
I also dislike the first classified version's vest. Hence this video 😊

The silver guns look like some weird reused Marvel Legends weapons.
Yep. Earlier gi joes had some funky nerf looking blasters. Luckily, they have since course corrected and now offer us much more realistic breach-pump shotguns and double barreled M4s 🤣

Yep!!! That's what I will use to get that sorry excuse for marine EGA off his chest, and replace it with a proper waterslide decal EGA from bad mother tattoos!
(Also going to use acetone to remove cel shading from my xmen VHS figures in another video soon!)
I put Recondos hat on the classified release and got the 'ol painless loadout from gridiron studios. He's now a sexual tyrannosaurus.

Use a valaverse Sgt. SLAUGHTER green vest. And heat it up when you put it on him. The colors match better.

first off older Marine Camo isn't as green as the Army our older camo had a little of that color in it.

The m79 doesn't need an update. That's like updating a slingshot 😁

You can starch the gun, weight it after starching, repeat starching, weighting then paint
What will the starch do? Sorry not sure what you mean.
Funny thing is, I’m not a mib/moc collector, and all my retro carded were shipped in the bubble mailers and none of them were damaged.

Thanks man for your service. A Grandfather & Uncle & several friends are/were Navy! I messed up about a month before high school graduation & wasn't wanted any longer by the United States Military. USMC & hopefully in the medical field was where I wanted to go. Plans change... It's all about adapting & overcoming. You better believe it was gonna be violent 1 way or taking the head off The Iceman.

My spirit has that leg issue. My recondo figured has a knee that barely bends.
In another video, I don't remember which one... but I came up with a REALLY easy way to help with stuck hip joints.
Just make the figure do the splits a bunch of times, and that should work the joint enough they can kick forward better. The more splits they do the easier it gets. Go slow, but that should work! It's less twisting stress on the dog bones inside the hips.

@RandomStuffGarage619 thanks for the tip! I also thought about ordering shock oil. I learned that from D amazing's channel. I will definitely do the splits on spirit. My Redondo figure is weird. It is almost like the sides of the knee are "larger" not sure how to describe it. But the bottom part of the double joint knee cap, hits the sides of the knee hinge when posing. It actually rubs the sides. I was gonna take an exacto to it and lightly shave the sides down. Thabks again.

I just hate his hands they really can't give us an up and down gun hands on all figures.
I agree that's frustrating on characters that use firearms. It's even worse on sword weilding characters.
That looks good. I used Retro body, with OG vest, backpack, hands, Valaverse Declassified grenade launcher, cover and guns.
That sounds like a cool combo. I just couldn't like the bright turquoise pants. I like your ingredients though!
