Hi Pete I live in Rockford IL. USA, And I watch you all the time and love your videos. Lately I seen the video on you buying from temu. My wife buys from them every month about 300.00 dollars, and she also get a lot of junk. Keep up the great videos and you have a very good day!
People if any of these arent working and your machin is still not working good just make sure your screw who tightens your wheels and this one up side who tightens your wire aren't too tight, and thanks to Pete.
And for guys who are new to this, most manufacturers label the rollers so that the groove in the back when in the machine, which is the one you’re using, is labeled on the opposite side of the roller. So when you read the size, that side is installed out, so you can read it when it’s in.
I have a Lincoln weldpac Oops.. the wire feed does not feed wire when trigger is pulled,, or dc motor does not activated. Although gas feed does work when trigger pulled Bench tested dc motor and it works fine Thoughts?
I would use a foam earplug on my machine at work. It works pretty well for about 1-2 spools worth and then I'd change it out. We run beat up machines but gotta make do.
Check all your wires that go to the gun! Mine were in but the metal piece inside a plug was slightly pushed up and not contacting and can be easily pulled out!
Oi mate! My cold feed works fine but when I turn my wire feed up to 10 or even at 1 the speed that comes out the gun is the same, slow. Do you know what might be the problem? Its a bran new welder.
Looks like your welder might be feeling a bit sluggish, just like a Monday morning! But in all seriousness, it sounds like there might be a problem with the wire feed mechanism. I'd suggest reaching out to the manufacturer for assistance.
I have a mig welder and i replaced the liner and tip and the wire still is still jamming up. The wire is getting pushed fine. When I'm using the unit and the gun cable isn't straight it will jam up. When I straighten out the cable, you can the wire jump out the tip. Do you have any suggestions.?
after i release the trigger my welder still feeds me like 30/50mm of wire. it seems the power is off to the wire, so you can't keep welding but it stills feeds. i keep wire cutters with me all the time. can that be fixed?
When welding the wire will continue to feed after I release the trigger. This is very annoying because usually you have to cut the excess before starting again. This also wastes wire. How do I fix it?
@@petestools It depends on the wire feed setting. The higher the setting the more wire is fed out. The actual time seems to be around one second. I am using .024 wire and if the extra is not cut off the amperage settings (usually 2 or 3 out of 6) will not melt all the excess wire. Thanks for the reply, I check your site regularly.
Fair Dinkem mate. Gabbster from. Canada. My o25 wire got stuck. First time setting up machine I hate 025 wire to skiny mini,.. it kinked up under rollers and after loosening off the tenchin .i cut the wire stuck from big roll .and just enough wire to grab with needle nose but it won’t come out and took off whip but can’t see any wire going out or in how do ya get that friggin wire out cand you make the wheel rub backwards ?
I have a wire feed problem. power on the feed starts and will not stop only power off. The gun is euro plug ''there is resistance between the trigger pins on the euro plug and zero when trigger actuated totally disconnected from the welder. Any clues I'd love to start welding.
Hey pete, what if your drive roll doesn’t spin at all? It just spins a little but then stops at the highest wire speed. Could it be a motor problem or is it the control part of the welder.
Felt works good as mentioned in other comment also the cloth that comes with new eyeglasses or iPhones. And marvels mystery oil good wire cleaner .stop in to say good day Stay safe ur W.V. pal
Any idea why a brand new Lincoln 180 would have an issue feeding into the liner? If I undo the connection, it goes in fine.. otherwise it jams every time.
I did all that …my problem is that the gun stop working ..it seems there’s no connection between the gun and the motor …i already try another gun and it doesn’t work either
I just started using mig welding and I am having issues where the wire doesn't roll continuously it feels like it stops and starts when I push the trigger. What's the fix for this issue?

That's a good tip Pete.
I use a piece of felt on mine which works really well
Excellent
Ear plug works well to clean the wire while feeding through
Awesome idea. Thank you for the tip. People use this same principal with 3d printer filament and a sponge.
Great tip!
Thanks mate! Greetings from philippines

Hi mate i think you might have a kink in your liner .If it runs when its straight it is almost always the liner my friend.
Bottom roller guide , have to replace, 0.8, and tip , current and feed of mig wire,
after i release the trigger my welder still feeds me like 30/50mm of wire. it seems the power is off to the wire, so you can't keep welding but it stills feeds. i keep wire cutters with me all the time. can that be fixed?
Turn back your burn back nob a bit if you have one on your welder.
@@petestools it has no burnback dial

@@petestools hello, i mean i bought the whole new torch Parweld SB360A. I think i had the problem with wire, it was rusty.

Check pins if it works from there then its your torch cable .
How can I find the bearing to replace mine is bad and won't roll
Try amazon
Is the key suppose to lock in mine doesn’t and it loosens the screw
No just to hold in place
Thanks for the tip mate 🤣
No problem 👍

Take your triggers apart and clean and lube when it won't shut off

is it a fraction to long and pinching it when done up ?
@@petestools It actually randomly fixed itself after the first 4 rolls.. No idea what was up..workin fine now though ;)
kink in the whip or too hard of a bend in it. straighten it out
Hello how do I fix a feeder that won't stop feeding on its own
Check your trigger switch .If it keeps running by itself
I did all that …my problem is that the gun stop working ..it seems there’s no connection between the gun and the motor …i already try another gun and it doesn’t work either
Does the drive motor run?
mine is sticking on and wire keeps coming out after i release the button
Check your wire tension cheers Pete
My macbine is not feeding the wire
I have a Fern 150/1 machine I have the wire spool off I press the trigger the motor makes a noise but wont run can you help me please
Check the drive rollers first.
My rollers are fine but the motor itself won’t roll
Wire is coming out of the roll , but it doesn't stop .
your tension is to loose
I just started using mig welding and I am having issues where the wire doesn't roll continuously it feels like it stops and starts when I push the trigger. What's the fix for this issue?
do you have the correct drive rollers for your wire size?
spatter on the orfice of the top causing a momentary stop.
I have a Lincoln migwelder and its wire comes very fast and burn and no welding
Check your earth lead
