When the wife goes missing, the first thing the police will do is suspect me. Digging a little deeper, they'll determine that the others who have disappeared were witnessed arguing with me. Fair! A clean break is definitely best IRL. Depends on how marriage works in this universe, though. Arranged/political marriages and illegal divorce would make relationships with other people while still being married on paper a lot less sketchy, for instance.

What are your troubles Yandere?
I know that this is a dumb nitpick, but nuns don't actually administer confession or absolve sins in the Catholic Church. Only priests do that. Also, nuns aren't allowed to have romantic relationships, commit adultery, or kill people. Obviously. But then if she didn't do that stuff, we wouldn't have this wonderful audio, now would we?
I respect a good nitpick! So here’s another one: nuns and the concept of confession also exist in multiple other religious traditions. A vaguely fantasy universe like this one can have any theological components and rites you want, I think, especially when those components aren’t exclusive to one culture in reality.
I actually seriously considered labeling this with “priestess” alone rather than “nun” as well to avoid this kind of confusion (that this is an actual Catholic nun rather than an anime-esque fictional monastic order), but I ultimately decided to keep the original script’s intended terminology even though it doesn’t really come up in the audio. Guess I’ll go with my gut next time! ^^;

Calling her a nun works better imo because the knowledge that Catholic nuns are sworn to celibacy makes her actions even more taboo and adds an extra element to her internal conflict of whether or not she is going to give into temptation and act on her feelings for the listener. Again, great audio, I was just being cheeky.

You've got half a dozen forms of Christianity and Buddhism for nuns if you're using the strict modern interpretation of the word, as well as loosely related priestesses throughout history who took similar vows of chastity and were dedicated to pursuit of a spiritual life (vestal virgins spring to mind as one notable example.)
As for confession: you've got it basically everywhere in some form or another, some evidence for the practice dating back to ancient Rome.
There are monastic orders all over history and the world, and some have had female members who are analogous to the Catholic nun. Nothing new (or unique!) under the sun, as they say.
