Ferenc Krausz from the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in Munich is considered one of the founder of attosecond physics.
For his contributions to the field the scientist together with Pierre Agostini and Anne L'Huillier has been honoured with the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics.
