My GF introduced me to this game we were together for 4 years but she died in an accident, i played this song on her funeral, she used to sing this to me every time we were having a moment, it was her favorite song back then and i couldn't stop crying while playing it on her funeral. After all this years i still haven't moved on from her and may not be able to.

They really just wanted to be whole again. They had their hearts ripped from them in a event that would be a huge spoiler if I said anything about it. So, I felt bad for them. Especially after seeing comments elsewhere that they dont deserve to exist

In KH the things like the "heart"(not the organ but what we associate with emotions and other metaphiscal things like memories), light and darkness are metaphors in our reality but in the KH universe these metaphors take on literal and physical forms.

Best game I ever played. I have over 900 hours clocked on that game. I've completed it at least a dozen times by now. And if that game taught me anything, it was to enjoy the lives we had, enjoy our friendships and our connections, see the world and explore it, and fight for happiness. In the end, yeah, we'll die. But why waste living this amazing life on being sad it'll end? A life like that is like living like a walking corpse. While living life, actually LIVE it, and accept the fact that sooner or later, yeah, we'll die. What matters is the fact that we live our lives fulfilled and overcome obstacles in our way. Stop being sad about growing up, about age, about dying, and so on. Live your life happily and fight through your battles c:
Okay I've been playing this game, Kingdom Hearts, ever sense I was six and this brings back so many memories, every time I pick up that ps2 controller I tell myself, I don't need a ps4 or an Xbox 1 I have all my video game joy, in this little disk called Kingdom Hearts, I can play my heart out on this game, and I will never get old of it, I can beet it twenty four million times, and I will always cry at the ending, I'm so glade that Square Enix made this game, I know this is just a video game, but for some reason, if I didn't have this video game, my life wouldent complete. Ow... My nostalgia's hurting. But in all seriousness the paradox of growing up is really stupid. When we're children we have that wish that "I wanna grow up!" at adolescence we're like "Shit, stop making me grow up" (Out of fear of taking responsibilities and facing the world). Eventually at adulthood we keep wanting to go back to the good old days, causing origin of nostalgia. Overall at the end of the day the thought that you have presented will merely cause one to feel sad or disheartened, sometimes even happy depending on the mindset of the person him ore herself. Even though I'm weak by myself... I think of all the people who I've ever known and it makes me strong. The heart can be weak and sometimes it might even give in... but I've realised deep down, there's a light that never goes out! I remember being sent this video by a friend a couple years ago. She wasn't into Kingdom Hearts, but knew (by my own rants) that I was (still am) a diehard fan. I miss you friend. this song reminds me of my best friend. She was the first person to ever stand up for me, the first person to be able to stand me, the first person to give me the confidence I truly needed as a child. I loved her, but I never told her due to fear of rejection. We began to grow apart throughout the years and she even has a baby now. It crushes my entire being just knowing that there could have possibly been something if I had just said something.
I used to have this game, it was quite fun, i would beat it in under 5 hours. It was the first kingdom hearts to be made i think. This song would play every level. I miss all my friends. I miss everyone I ever loved in life. Its sad, loving people and everyone growing apart, and meeting new people that you'll soon grow apart from as well. And when I think of all the people I loved in life, I'm not allowed to love them as much as I did. Because its in the past, and the amount that I love people is asking too much. And now that I'm older, I'm wary to trust people that much. Because really, there's no one in my life that I can truly trust with my life. Every time i see Sora with his two best friends all i can think of is the two other friends I once were close with and how we were as close as can be just like those three shown in the video, but now all three of us have separated and going down our own paths even after 16 years of us always being with each other.

I'm back here after Sora's announcement in Smash. Years ago I remember making a comment about how this song brings me back to the good old days, when I was a little kid. The truth is , I haven't played a kingdom heart game in a while, but omg after watching Sora bein announced I cried. It's been 15 years since I played my first kingdom hearts game, and that announcement trailer took me back to those days. I'm so thankfull to Kingdom Hearts as a whole for giving me the best memories growing up, I know I'd never forget this games.
Just seeing a kid drawing of like Riku, Sora, and Kairi while listening to this song is just giving me memories of me playing like the KH1 and KH2 game... WHY Q.Q it gives me memories of like Sora adventuring to find his friends on the first KH and then in KH2 is like ugh Im so speechless. I was thinking about having a music box custom made with this for me and an old friend. We met because of Kingdom Hearts 9 years ago, and we're still close friends. Me and her went to the KH 2.5 launch event together, even. I found a site that can make a music box using an electronic player instead of traditional mechanical pieces so it would sound exactly like this. The only problem is that there are so many KH songs we're both a fan of lol There's this, Kairi's theme, Roxas's theme, Missing You ~ Namine, Cavern of Rememberances (KH2FM), and more lol

When I was younger, my uncle used to play kindom hearts a lot and I remember my cousin and I watching him play and this song and the cut scene played and so every time I hear this song it reminds me of that.. You feel "simple" when you feel dumbfounded and blank. Like a sense of innocence engulfing you, blanking your mind like a state of self numbness. You feel easy, calm, ignorant about what to expect or do. You feel "clean" when you know that you are a good person. The sense of cleanliness comes with the feeling of being a good person to yourself and others around you. You also feel this sense of cleanliness when you hardly make mistakes and try to be the best person you can be. Take Kairi for example. She spent all her time trying to be the best she could be around Sora and Riku, always being polite and a good playmate to them, cheering them and encouraging their ideas and games. Hardly can anyone call her wicked or greedy because to be honest, all she ever wanted as a child was the safety and well-being of her friends. To be in their company and have fun. Her biggest desire was to always be around Sora and for him to never change because she loves him for who he is, and asking him to change just to meet her standards, isn't like her. Look at how innocent she is ! She even thinks that the rations she had planned for the raft in KH1, will satisfy three people. She is the literal embodiment of purity and modesty in the game. But when Destiny Island was broken it seems like all her hopes and dreams and vanished into nothingness, leaving her blank and empty, unknowing what to do next. Hence the term "Simple and Clean".
Cebby In a flash, Sora left Kairi. Even though he didn't want to, the destruction of Destiny Island led to their separation. She spent nearly fourteen years trying to warm up to him and be the best she can be. You can say that her actions have always rendered her "Clean" and her loneliness, destruction of her home island and the loss of her friends and family left her hopeless and clueless as to what expect and what to do. "Simple" does not make her necessarily stupid. It just makes her feel empty and dumbfounded. She was completely powerless in KH1 and she was so sick of inactivity that she decided to take action in KH2. "Perhaps waiting is not enough" she quotes to Selphie when she sends the message in the bottle into the ocean. What little she does to try and find Sora always seems to get her into trouble, not to say that she is a bad character in the game's series. I mean she was a little girl when she lost nearly everything in her life, so its natural to be confused and blank when your whole childhood just vanishes along with your friends and family. I mean, even Riku and Sora were confused with how to solve the problem. Riku thought that what he was doing was right, despite it being tied to darkness, and Sora questioned what he was doing several times, but clearly Sora got the upper hand in solving the problem. Lets look at the entire verse shall we? " When you walk away, you don't hear me say "PLEASE ! Oh baby, don't go... Simple and Clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight, its hard to let you go..." Kairi clearly loves Sora, and the night he left her, saddened her severely. Put yourself in her shoes: You lost your parents when you were a baby, and the loving grandmother who looked after you to the "Unversed" when you were four. You would have also lost your own life, hadn't you been a princess of the light, and hadn't you received a protective spell from Aqua. You literally fell out of the sky in a meteor shower, and were fished out of the sea by the locals. Then what few friends and family you have vanish and your island is engulfed in darkness. Among the losses is a boy you had set your heart on loving, who immediately took you in as a friend and playmate. If all this had happened to me, I would definitely have felt "Simple and Clean".
It hurst, doesn't it? It's unbearable, no doubt. So why are you still fighting, why push onward in what anyone else would consider a fools errand. The odds are against you, the world has turned it's back on you. But looking at you, I can tell you don't care. There's a warm hand in yours, pulling you forward. Even when they aren't next to you, you feel them. And so you're looking onwards, towards the day you can hold them in your arms. So don't give up, don't give in, just run and fight until you can say... we're home.

In this current moment, I've been going rather through a tough time, figuring my self out as a young adult. In terms of how to deal with stress and emotions, sometimes they feel so strong and I think will things always be this way? but in reality they wont, this song makes me feel many things, reminds me of the love of my family, the love I have for the important people around me, and really makes my heart feel something. It makes me feel that no matter how dark things can get, I truly positively believe I can get out of any situation I'm in. That any negative situation is temporary, and I will have happier days, or days with less stress. One day I really want to have a child of my own, to share this amazing series with them. Just makes my heart feel warm thinking that one day I can play this sweet music box tune for my child. Truly as in KH1 " The heart may be weak, and sometimes it may even give in, but I've learned there's a light that never goes out!"
This very specific version of this music reminds me of my little daughter that passed away many years ago. Me and who is now my wife had her when we were 15. Bad choice on our part. That little girl was my everything. And I would do anything to get her back.

This video was posted when I was 8 years old. The same age I would play KH with my older sisters. They are both now grown with their own families and I’m 21 still trying to figure mine out. This song makes me miss the close bond we used to have when we were kids. Hopefully one day I can see them again.
You know, I wasn’t alive when the first Kingdom Hearts came out. But, every time I listen to a song it brings back memories that have been shoved away by what has happened. And, every time I listen to this I cry. All the times where instead of yelling there was laughing, and no arguing but we all had fun. All my memories have been shoved away because my brain can’t remember which is which. I know it sounds weird, but it makes sense to me. And Kingdom Hearts songs always bring the good memories back. And now everything is gone. The worlds a mess, this pandemic, how my family has changed. And all my coping has to deal with something like this, where if you lose someone you can bring them back. i remember playing the game over and over just to listen to the songs and watch the ending. then later youtube came out and i play listen to the songs,watch the ending, and even lp's of it like 50 time every day. i feel like this is one of those games where you can just relax through and feel the emotions of the characters and you cant say that about most games now (all of them mostly being first-person shooter's). such great memories flow back just from this game :')

In KH the things like the "heart"(not the organ but what we associate with emotions and other metaphiscal things like memories), light and darkness are metaphors in our reality but in the KH universe these metaphors take on literal and physical forms.

I first played the game in second grade. Kingdom Hearts 2. Best game I ever played.
I have over 900 hours clocked on that game. I've completed it at least a dozen times by now.
And if that game taught me anything, it was to enjoy the lives we had, enjoy our friendships and our connections, see the world and explore it, and fight for happiness. In the end, yeah, we'll die. But why waste living this amazing life on being sad it'll end? A life like that is like living like a walking corpse. While living life, actually LIVE it, and accept the fact that sooner or later, yeah, we'll die. What matters is the fact that we live our lives fulfilled and overcome obstacles in our way. Stop being sad about growing up, about age, about dying, and so on. Live your life happily and fight through your battles c:

Okay I've been playing this game, Kingdom Hearts, ever sense I was six and this brings back so many memories, every time I pick up that ps2 controller I tell myself, I don't need a ps4 or an Xbox 1 I have all my video game joy, in this little disk called Kingdom Hearts, I can play my heart out on this game, and I will never get old of it, I can beet it twenty four million times, and I will always cry at the ending, I'm so glade that Square Enix made this game, I know this is just a video game, but for some reason, if I didn't have this video game, my life wouldent complete.

I loved her, but I never told her due to fear of rejection. We began to grow apart throughout the years and she even has a baby now. I used to have this game, it was quite fun, i would beat it in under 5 hours. It was the first kingdom hearts to be made i think. This song would play every level. It made me cry because my mom was in the hospital that day and she would sing this to me. She died from cancer and i sing this everyday at her grave.

The times when each setback no matter how severe it was, was healed by breathing fresh air and seeing the blue skies. Back when we still dared to dream of bringing peace and happiness to the world. There was nothing we novices couldn't overcome if we did not give up, in the future we would have our chance to change the world.

I'm back here after Sora's announcement in Smash. Years ago I remember making a comment about how this song brings me back to the good old days, when I was a little kid. The truth is , I haven't played a kingdom heart game in a while, but omg after watching Sora bein announced I cried. It's been 15 years since I played my first kingdom hearts game, and that announcement trailer took me back to those days. I'm so thankfull to Kingdom Hearts as a whole for giving me the best memories growing up, I know I'd never forget this games.
Just seeing a kid drawing of like Riku, Sora, and Kairi while listening to this song is just giving me memories of me playing like the KH1 and KH2 game... WHY Q.Q it gives me memories of like Sora adventuring to find his friends on the first KH and then in KH2 is like ugh Im so speechless. This music box version is like choking my throat I can't even type my explanations lol Q.Q

You feel "simple" when you feel dumbfounded and blank. Like a sense of innocence engulfing you, blanking your mind like a state of self numbness. You feel easy, calm, ignorant about what to expect or do.
You feel "clean" when you know that you are a good person. The sense of cleanliness comes with the feeling of being a good person to yourself and others around you. You also feel this sense of cleanliness when you hardly make mistakes and try to be the best person you can be. Take Kairi for example. She spent all her time trying to be the best she could be around Sora and Riku, always being polite and a good playmate to them, cheering them and encouraging their ideas and games. Hardly can anyone call her wicked or greedy because to be honest, all she ever wanted as a child was the safety and well-being of her friends. To be in their company and have fun. Her biggest desire was to always be around Sora and for him to never change because she loves him for who he is, and asking him to change just to meet her standards, isn't like her. Look at how innocent she is ! She even thinks that the rations she had planned for the raft in KH1, will satisfy three people. She is the literal embodiment of purity and modesty in the game. But when Destiny Island was broken it seems like all her hopes and dreams and vanished into nothingness, leaving her blank and empty, unknowing what to do next. Hence the term "Simple and Clean".

Cebby In a flash, Sora left Kairi. Even though he didn't want to, the destruction of Destiny Island led to their separation. She spent nearly fourteen years trying to warm up to him and be the best she can be. You can say that her actions have always rendered her "Clean" and her loneliness, destruction of her home island and the loss of her friends and family left her hopeless and clueless as to what expect and what to do. "Simple" does not make her necessarily stupid. It just makes her feel empty and dumbfounded. She was completely powerless in KH1 and she was so sick of inactivity that she decided to take action in KH2. "Perhaps waiting is not enough" she quotes to Selphie when she sends the message in the bottle into the ocean. What little she does to try and find Sora always seems to get her into trouble, not to say that she is a bad character in the game's series. I mean she was a little girl when she lost nearly everything in her life, so its natural to be confused and blank when your whole childhood just vanishes along with your friends and family. I mean, even Riku and Sora were confused with how to solve the problem. Riku thought that what he was doing was right, despite it being tied to darkness, and Sora questioned what he was doing several times, but clearly Sora got the upper hand in solving the problem.
Lets look at the entire verse shall we? " When you walk away, you don't hear me say "PLEASE ! Oh baby, don't go... Simple and Clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight, its hard to let you go..." Kairi clearly loves Sora, and the night he left her, saddened her severely. Put yourself in her shoes: You lost your parents when you were a baby, and the loving grandmother who looked after you to the "Unversed" when you were four. You would have also lost your own life, hadn't you been a princess of the light, and hadn't you received a protective spell from Aqua. You literally fell out of the sky in a meteor shower, and were fished out of the sea by the locals. Then what few friends and family you have vanish and your island is engulfed in darkness. Among the losses is a boy you had set your heart on loving, who immediately took you in as a friend and playmate. If all this had happened to me, I would definitely have felt "Simple and Clean".

I didn't even play this game, and this moves me to tears... I really need to experience it one day, to understand, to see if my sadness and melancholy are justified.
This is really where my addiction to Kingdom Hearts started. Just because of this song, I've read all of the manga and currently have 3 of the games. It's just so beautiful *.*
In this current moment, I've been going rather through a tough time, figuring my self out as a young adult. In terms of how to deal with stress and emotions, sometimes they feel so strong and I think will things always be this way?
but in reality they wont, this song makes me feel many things, reminds me of the love of my family, the love I have for the important people around me, and really makes my heart feel something. It makes me feel that no matter how dark things can get, I truly positively believe I can get out of any situation I'm in. That any negative situation is temporary, and I will have happier days, or days with less stress.
One day I really want to have a child of my own, to share this amazing series with them. Just makes my heart feel warm thinking that one day I can play this sweet music box tune for my child.

This very specific version of this music reminds me of my little daughter that passed away many years ago. Me and who is now my wife had her when we were 15. Bad choice on our part. That little girl was my everything. And I would do anything to get her back.

This video was posted when I was 8 years old. The same age I would play KH with my older sisters. They are both now grown with their own families and I’m 21 still trying to figure mine out. This song makes me miss the close bond we used to have when we were kids. Hopefully one day I can see them again.

You know, I wasn’t alive when the first Kingdom Hearts came out. But, every time I listen to a song it brings back memories that have been shoved away by what has happened. And, every time I listen to this I cry. All the times where instead of yelling there was laughing, and no arguing but we all had fun. All my memories have been shoved away because my brain can’t remember which is which. I know it sounds weird, but it makes sense to me. And Kingdom Hearts songs always bring the good memories back. And now everything is gone. The worlds a mess, this pandemic, how my family has changed. And all my coping has to deal with something like this, where if you lose someone you can bring them back. I just want to say thank you for reading my mess of a comment and take care of others. Make sure that they are okay. That they are taking care of themselves and stay safe and hydrated.

Years later I come back here.. nothing will ever change the memories I’ve had back when I was a kid.. no stress and complications just pure happiness especially playing this game and I continue to play it to this day. This game makes me strong even through the hardest times and I thank it so much for strengthening my heart ❤️

i remember playing the game over and over just to listen to the songs and watch the ending. then later youtube came out and i play listen to the songs,watch the ending, and even lp's of it like 50 time every day. i feel like this is one of those games where you can just relax through and feel the emotions of the characters and you cant say that about most games now (all of them mostly being first-person shooter's). such great memories flow back just from this game :')

Listening back to this song after a few years brought up some memories of life. All the hardships and struggles coming to point of becoming an adult... And wanting to relive those days.
I'm only 13 but I kept my ps2 and yeah this brings me back to the journey I went on as Sora made me buy a keyblade when I was 9 and my dad told me not to run around with it the biggest part of the gane was my relationship with Kiari it brings me back to when I was 5 when I first played it I enjoyed the game sooo much
