I'll never forget the day I saw something like this driving 3 hours home from a previous job. I was tired, and ready get home, but I was *not* going to drive through something like that. When I got close enough to the cell, it felt as though the air pressure around me had suddenly changed. Everything started changing to a greenish-tinted color, and I immediately took a longer detour route to get home. You could see the system to the left, and it looked utterly terrifying. I drove through some of the hardest rain, and brightest lighting I had ever seen, but at least I took a safer path. A few days later, I found that there were a few spots of rotation, and you could obviously tell from twisted/snapped trees, damaged vegetation, etc. I later found out that a tornado dropped down right next to one of the High Schools in that area. And in the same day, right when I think I'm out of it, a smaller, but more powerful system shows up. I drive right through it, but now when I think back on it, I probably should have pulled over. At one point, I think I drove right under a funnel cloud, and it could have dropped at any minute. People were pulling over to the gas stations to wait the storm out, but I felt like I was on a mission to get home. I quit the job. Never driven through anything like that before.

Oh, that's the atmosphere in America, driving in the middle of the prairie, then going to find a small town, oh like that, Greetings from Indonesia. Sorry if my English bad :v

xD. It probably wasnt near your home, and probably you scooped up your phone and saw a tornado warning somewhere and drove to it. Good job though, haha. Like for being brave because i would of pooped my pants edit1: Also sorry if i sounded rude, and it also seemed like you were late to see it because it probably sucked the tornado back into it's form, and making it a regular cloud XD
I mean, I'm in school for meteorology and have been chasing storms for 8 years, a lot more goes into my forecasting and chasing than just driving to red tornado warning boxes that pop up on my radar... Also not sure how you're assuming I was late to the storm, but thanks for the condescending commentary, I guess? 🤷

That ending was phenomenal! Definitely watching more than once!
Thank you so much, that means a lot Ben!

@@revcus7437 Its the form of cloud.

Supercells are more powerful versions because they rotate.

That looks like an train 🚆 🤩
super!) you need to stop there! 😉👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Severe Thunderstorm is Back
Super!
Amezing heavy rain lightning cloud
A cumulonimbus cloud may be beautiful and big...but it has a serious impact when it compares to its severe and dangerous weather
Great video!
Thank you!
@@JessicaMooreMeteorologist I wish I could drive that straight to a Supercell here in Germany! But unfortunately our roadsystem is way too bad...
nice structure
we need sound in these videos.

Nice mesocyclone 👍
That thing barely had time to form an anvil before you showed up
Aw you teased a developing tornado, did one ever form?
Most likely
That is due to ORGON.

Beside the awesome supercell... As an european it blows my mind for how long these roads are just straight... I mean wtf?
Oh really? I hadn't even thought of that! They're so peaceful to drive on. Truly cathartic.

Hurricanes form in sea, bruh
It’s a formation of a golf ball size hail possible tennis ball sized
a supercell can spawn tornadoes not hurricanes bruh. hurricanes form in the ocean.
