Ace Jewelers in Amsterdam is making a name in the watch industry by partnering with small, independent watch brands to create some unique collaboration pieces. I recently had the opportunity to check out two very different collaboration watches from Christiaan van der Klaauw and Elka Watches.

Thanks so much man 🙏 The CvdK isn't the style I'd usually wear either tbh, but I appreciate it's beauty and the workmanship that's clearly gone in to it

Meh, CvdK is principally known for prolifically using that very mass produced 7754 movement in that watch for ages. The new movements getting GPHG attention are supplied by Andreas Strehler afaik (Strehler also supplies Gronefeld). The module done for VC&A isn't even as sophisticated as a base movement.
GPHG awards mean nothing btw, it's pay to win. Pay Wei Koh and his jury buddies*, pay GPHG's "entrance fee", win GPHG award with a shitty quartz knock off of a Patek 1463. *Cough* Furlan Marri *cough*.
