- Hiking solo through what is widely considered the most impressive section of Te Araroa, Nelson Lakes National Park. With the tail end of a Cyclone battering the South Island with torrential rain and high winds, I continued south while my friends waited out the weather in Nelson.
While I love the comradery of hiking in a group, I've always enjoyed a bit of solo expeditioning. The freedom of spending weeks alone in the woods is incredible, but on Te Araroa, true solitude can be hard to come by.
Love these vibes my man. Honest, artful, low key. It was a pleasure walking with you in the Sierras for a couple days last year.
Thanks Captain! Glad you enjoy. Hopefully, bump into you on another trail someday!
I really hope this channel will blow up in the next months, so we will be blessed with more videos like this! Absolute pleasure to watch your videoart-style and already incredibly high quality.
Thanks, either way, I'll keep putting out videos, they’ve been a lot of fun to make and I've plenty more adventures planned!
What an incredible adventure Cam! Great production too. Te Araroa looks like an amazing ancient trail. All the different scenarios are amazing. The shot at 5:42 is awesome man. Outstanding work
Cheers! The Ta really was incredible, such a varied trail!
This looks absolutely amazing my friend, gorgeous work!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed.
In NZ local trampers wear a parka not a rain jacket.
