Thanks for all you do ma I really enjoyed your teaching My question now is after attaching the string and joining the bodice,is it going to be shaped with our exact bodice measurement? Thanks ma
You won't have to shape to your exact measurement. This is because the skirt part cannot be fitted (straight/pencil) because of the effect of the drawstring. That explains the extra inches added to hip measurement while cutting the skirt part. Now, if you want it more fitted, you won't add much extra inches to your hip measurement. 1.5 or 2 inches is okay.
Thanks dear for this tutorial, please can I use my skirt pattern that has bum effect as in at the bum where the zip is , is curved? Can I use it then convert the sides to A-line
Please how can I get to watch how to make a simple bodice that can be used to join either a skirt? Guess what? I made the draw string skirt, it is beautiful 🔥 😍 😍 thanks for u easy tutorial, I'm just a few weeks in sewing keep doing what you do better

Adding the extra four to the main hip measurements and dividing by four or quarter of hip + 4 ?
Quarter of hip + 3 or 4
Thank you so much
Thank you
❤❤❤
Pls ma'am, Its possible to sew this and put lining on the dress rgt?
Yes, it's possible. You can add lining.
Please can I use flare method for the down part?
Probably No, because the draw string won't come out with the right effect.
Please which type of clothes did you use?
I used african print (ANKARA). Any light weight fabric will also be perfect.
I love your details BTW, simple and easy to grab, I'm gonna try this and keep you posted, BTW how many yards of material needed 🌻
Really appreciate your feedback. Between 2 to 3 yards will be needed (it depends on the size).

thank you again and again 😍😍
Thanks
And is the dart necessary?
No, it's not necessary, but the importance of dart on an outfit cannot be overemphasized.
Wat type of fabric can I use for it
A light weight fabric will be preferable.
How many yards can be enough pls
It depends on the measurement you're working with. On the average, 3 to 4 yards will be enough.
Why cutting the skirt did you put much allowance.
It depends on how much allowance you want. Between 1 - 2 inches is okay.
Are we to add to our length
Not really necessary, but if you must add, add 1"
@@divinefolah okay. Thanks
