Nice with the rounded corners at the front.
Technique:
Better to match the patern with such distinct lines! Even if it is ruched. The waistline on skirts is lightly rounded: a little higher on the sides than in the middle. The hem is longer in the middle and somewhat rounded up on the sides (= not just straight lines in the waist and hem.) Jersey ,however, is a forgiving fabric.
But importantly, it is such a joy to sew and wear something that you made yourself and feel good in. Keep sewing and better your techniques as you go by... Good luck!
