Used to date the most gorgeous girl ever, spent my time on planes visiting her and her to me. Even moved cities sometimes to be closer to her. Many people think that long distance relationship wont work. But for me it works. Its just a matter of loyalty and perseverance so that a relationship will last. My girlfriend and I were LDR for 3 years. I was working in Italy and she's in Australia and we even hardly talk to each other because were both busy in our career but our relationship remain steadfast in each day of our lives. It might be difficult but the more you try to make it work the more it gets stronger. And now we're 7 years and getting married soon.

I find it’s the habit we formed that makes breakup hard, you eat together, watch movies, cuddles, shop together, share highs and lows etc, and losing that companion all at once is hard in a normal relationship. However with long distance relationship, you don’t experience that loss too obviously. It’s the sudden abundance of free time i have, i dont need to check my phone all the time, i go outside and really notice the sky and trees instead of glueing to my phone.
