Yea no matter how good your mouse control is this game is always luck based to some degree, even at the top level guys with 0.2 second reaction times and top level target confirmation, at the end of the day if their opponent taps a movement key the exact time the shooter confirms their target they can still dodge the shot. No matter how good your aim is people can still dodge, and as you rank up you’re constantly fighting people with the same aim skill as you so trying to just out aim and duel everyone is a terrible idea, it’s why so many people get hard stuck, they just keep trying so hard to aim better and hit crazy shots so they can get that dopamine rush, like they’ll do the same shitty play with a 1/100 success rate and do it 100 times just for that one time because it makes them feel like a pro. Essentially kills don’t matter as much as round wins for improving, because all you really have to do is win games, 0 kills or 40 as long as you win your rank up, even if your rank is higher than it should be you still play that rank and you can improve based on fighter harder opponents and learning how they play. TLDR: Aim is just as much mental as much as it is physical.
Does it also matter in low elo? Im Bronze-Silver and the most popular advice for us is to out aim everyone and drop 40 every match, but this has been hindering me as I barely have any game sense, even my gold plat friends say i have good aim but I’m severely lacking in game sense/understanding timings
But i don't understans, how is it game sense if a chamber runs out of a smoke in 2 v 5 or if you clutch by randomly getting a 3 kill spraying through a smoke¿
yo zapper can you share a good routine you can play like at the end of each valorant session before going to sleep? maybe share your own if you have one. im just feeling like im losing every duel i enter latetly. thx
Unrelated but something i find interesting is that I reached my peak of ascendant 1 in ep7 a3, but have never reached it since, and whenever i check someone's tracker it seems that many have also reached their peak then, which imo is quite curious

i mean if u got brain u don't need that much aim. Kill them from behind be expected, capitalise timing or weapon advantage like if they are using marshal rng close range with a frenzy or spectre on eco ur odds are higher if u think and rely on brain instead of just aim
zapper i have 450 hours of play time and im still hard stuck bronze-silver1. i peaked s3 by filling and going quad negative with my gold friend back in ep7 but thats it. please help me idk what im doing wrong 🙏
you either have HORRIBLE aim and don't know it, or horrible movement. assuming you have a good set up and that isn't what's holding you back, i'd recommend playing on 800 dpi and .25-.35 sensitivity and trying to focus on what you could do better in game to not die 🙏. i'm also down to vod review a game for you if you need 👌. i'm immortal 3 on NA
@@mattvaloo sir please vod review me. im also on na. i’ll tell you now so i don’t waste you time. my “monitor” is an 60hz tv. my mouse’s left click gave up and the cover is kinda broken but i can play decently. i’ll be honest some games my aim is insane, my brain is working properly and im outsmarting everyone and the next i just can’t get a kill. my past 4 games i’ve been struggling and derannked because im with golds. also thats already my sense in game. i think i have decent movement.
