- Meditation On The Cross
The cross is the revelation of God’s love hidden in human suffering. Our meditation begins and ends here. We are reminded that Jesus’s death & resurrection gives us the confidence to pray directly to God.
Sigum Crucis: Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen (Latin)
Kiss the cross (to show love & reverence)
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

Luther’s morning or evening prayer
“ I thank you my Heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ your dear Son. That you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I pray that you would keep me this day also from sin and every evil. That all my doings and life may please you. For info your hands I commend myself. My body and soul and all things. Let your holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me. Amen.”
