Great series! Super useful for me!i would like to ask you about the 2h or 1h backhand. I always teach first the 2 hand, but i''m thinking about teach 1 hand backhand( i think it develops more feel and allows more variety) and going to 2 only if they whant to or if they start (instinctivily) whith 2. Would like to know what you think about. Best regards.
Thank you! I tend to start young children with double handed backhands to help them to get success early on. I find the double handed bh provides them with more stability and strength. I try to do a lot of work using both sides of the body at the early stages, to develop ambidextrous motor skills and body awareness. I think it’s important to be able to have control over your non-dominant side too. Saying all of that, if a player seems more natural with a one hander or wants to change to it once they’re strong enough then I will do so! I’m always interested in other methods and am not saying that either is right or wrong! All players have their own styles and our job is not to change their style (unless it will cause problems later on) but to get the best out of it!
Such a wonderful series. Thank you! Love your channel!
