The Best Way To Disable AirTag Sound: Preserve Waterproofing & Extend Battery Life!

Other methods damage the waterproof seal by removing the plastic panel with a blade. Instead, this method leaves the panel in place, and makes a small incision INSIDE the waterproof area. I then cut a one of the wires to the speaker coil - disabling the sound. Cutting the wire has the added benefit of extending the battery life, since no current can flow when the AirTag attempts to make a sound.

No good...I followed as described and some how disabled the airtag all together 👎🏽
