Then, VCVRack + Audible Instruments, Valley Plateau, Erica, Befaco etc modules, Dexed, Decent Sampler + Pianobook, and TAL Noisemaker and Pendulate in the second tier. Along with Reaper and ValhallaVintageVerb (not free, but very cheap), and some free effects (Convology XT, Deelay, TAL Chorus, Caelum Tape Cassette 2, ChowDSP Chow Tape Model, Softube Saturation Knob, Klanghelm IVGI), I could get by just fine in music making.
