Andy died,aged just 30,in 1988,before he could join his brothers,on tour,as an official fourth Bee Gee.He looked and sounded very much like Barry.

I grew up with this great group. I especially love their early music from the 60's-70's. Barry has a great falsetto voice. Some of their early hits were "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "Holiday", "Massachusetts", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "Words", "The Singer Sang His Song", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Lonely Days", "I Started A Joke", "Melody Fair", "First of May", "Give Your Best", "Lamplight" etc.

Only Barry, leadsinger here, is still alive and had a Nr.1 album in 2021, called 'Greenfields'. The twin-bros. Maurice (2003) and Robin (2011) and lil. bros. Andy (1980) sadly passed away. 'To Love Somebody' is one of most covered songs ever! Janis Joplin, Leonard Cohen, Michael Bolton, Michael Buble', Rod Stewart, Nina Simone, Keith Urban and many more great artists sang it. Did'ya know, last year, the Foo Fighters (David Grohl) made a whole album, covering Bee Gees songs? Now, check out Bee Gees on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1968, singing real live a song called 'Words', lateron covered by nothing lesser than Elvis Presley!

Just love these brothers. Just to make a point, the Bee Gees have been performing from the late 50s to the 00s, when Mo died in 2003. The " disco" period was 78 to 82 msybe. Not long in their profesdionsl career. Funky r n b is probably a better term than disco. It is just so not the Bee Gees on the whole. Listen to Blue Island live on MTV and you get the message.

The Falsetto came along in the 70s. Their 60’s music had a different sound all together.

I much prefer the Bee Gees in their earlier days when Barry sang in his natural voice, as he does here, rather than in falsetto voice. Theirs was one of the first record albums that I bought. They are very talented brothers, also writing many songs for other artists to sing. They were mainly brought up in Australia and there is film on YT of them when they went on Aussie TV at a young age.

OMG - this is a great song and when I tell my story to this one. I don't talk about my x-wife much, this is the song I got married to!
