I have to ask you "bottom Line" between the NOwaxx PAF's and the Porter Anthem PAF's which is your favorite! I heard your demo of the Porter Anthem PAF's and they sounded absolutely fantastic and wow do these NOwaxx PAF's sound awesome! I really appreciate you sharing your comments and insights on both sets of these pickups! I'm guessing they are fairly close in price! I think the Porter's have a little fuller note bloom on them where the NOwaxx have more upper midrange bite to them which is a great character in itself but to my ears the Porter Anthem seem to be more vintage sounding and maybe its due to the output of them or possibly the magnets! But I believe that both of these pickup sets have Alnico 5 magnets in them! Waiting to hear back from you! Love the overdriven tones you were getting from your Friedman DIrty Shirley amp! You did a good job,Toni. I put these pickups in my Tele deluxe style guitar also made by Martin Hornauer. The sound of these pickups is very dynamic. These pickups are worth the money. In my SG I have Seymour Duncan antiquity pickups. These are also non wax potted. I definitely prefer the nowaxx, which sounds more open and offers a wide range of rich overtones. In a band context I have no problems to cut through the mix.
The dirty Shirley doesn’t hurt matters. I have the same guitar and I think you have me sold on these pickups. What are the odds of hooking a fellow Canadian up with the link ? I found the website and I’m pretty sure I spotted the pickups , classic PAF’s. You wouldn’t happen to have that gentleman’s phone number would you ? Is it a Canadian company ?

Sounds good to my ears yeah you have to know what sound you are looking for use your ears and the feel not TH-cam don’t listen to the hype microphonic wax potted no wax etc. when they inspire you you will be home !!!!
5 $ in parts and 10 minutes job wow 300$? OK We live in such age as pickup winder with almost 30 years of experience i dislike when people do that. There are min 10's of sets which cot under 50$ and will do min the same if not the better.
