I wonder if the chip shortage & supply chain issues, had something to do with a lack of hardware upgrades? It looks like a good device, for the money. I think a comparison would be nice if you have the time.
How does tablet stay connected to WiFi while smartphone keep switching between WiFi and cellular data connections even when people at home, surfing the web?
@@UndergroundTech The main thing for me was actual Android. It may be Android Go, but at least it was Android. Yeah, I can put Google Play into the Fire 7, but I personally don't like the FireOS UI. It's definitely more like smart hub, in terms of UI, compared to iOS and Android
You’re right the specs are mostly the same for almost 2 years now Huge disappointment and this is why the tablet industry has been dying Thanks for watching!
1024x600 screen kills it. It's not powerful enough to play games so it's a media consumption device but who wants to watch their tv and media in 1024x600 on a 7 inch tablet? The 10 inch one is even worse imo.
That's a good point, but I'll have to see how the performance is on the onn 8 inch tablet that I bought. It seems to have identical specs to this except a 1280x800 screen
My Onn Surf 7 inch Gen 2 got it's screen cracked so hoping this tablet has a nice Black Friday discount. I use it mostly as an Ereader so top performance is not a priority.
@@elpadrino9056 Well, I got all my tablets with my basic ereader set up (Moon+ Reader premium - it reads almost all the formats and synch thru Gdrive (I think that except for ads the free version will do the same) - and an SD card with my library). Its not an easy search for a platform agnostic e-ink device with a SD card slot running a modern version of Android at a good price. But with my set up its almost a pick up and go affair between tablets.
@@seasonalobsessed8652 It works, my set up is painless as long as the tablet is relatively snappy (got a couple of tablets that will do the eReader bit OK but the sluggishness of accessing apps makes it too much of a pain to maintain - in my case a galaxy tab 3 7 inch on Android 4.4.2 and a RCA Voyager running Android 7 or 8) set the tablet on Dark mode, turn on battery saver and if the battery is still good you could get a good day of reading, maybe more.

I still have the onn surf 7 inch gen 2 tablet I’ll probably think to upgrade to the gen 3 tablet some of the specs seems pretty ok
Dunno about getting this or the 8 inch
Would this tablet be good for downloading and reading epub file books?
Sure
Is touch precise unlike previous Onn tablets?
Can anyone tell me if this tablet is compatible with the pokemon tcg online game?
I just recently shopped at Walmart and I couldn't believe the volume of ONN product Walmart had
Yup that's Wal-Mart's brand they're trying to promote
You could also do a cemra test on the gen 3
Hey my tcl tab 8 le got the screen cracked im not a tablet guy but it's always good to have one and a might buy the onn. 7inch tablet
How does tablet stay connected to WiFi while smartphone keep switching between WiFi and cellular data connections even when people at home, surfing the web?
Duel wifi I suppose, also android go edition
This definite feels like a better buy compared to the Fire 7 2022, IMO. I'm glad you don't have to have the Walmart button on the bottom anymore 🤣
Interesting, we might have to do a comparison video 🤔

@@VictorDoesStuff yeah I can understand that. Will have to see if fire toolbox will work on ut
Hey bro, thanks for this upload! It’s disappointing that Walmart never upgraded the specs (CPU, GPU, and RAM).

Can it run google maps?
I think the bezels on my 4th gen iPad is smaller than it is on this tablet. I know this is a budget tablet and all but good grief.
Wooow TH-cam. I set reminder for when video premiers and ot never sent notification 🙃

Aye thanks for watching 🙂
That tablet reminds me of the fire 7 2017 (yellow)
Back when fire tablets were so much worse lol

What do you think the onn tablets are best used for?
Anything ONN brand is MID. Thanks for the review though. These will be $59.00 on 11/22/23 on walmart black friday sales.
Hey just fyi it would be $29 on black friday
$59 is the base price
How is this tablet for music?
Its alright
How is this tablet for reading

Hello!! God bless.. I like your videos! I like that yellow tablet, it's pretty. I have the Onn Tablet 10' Gen 2, and I like it. Greetings and like!

Hopefully! Usually they have some type of tablet on sale during black Friday somewhere
What e-reader do you use?

Have you used it recently as a ereader? Considering getting one for the same thing!
