Our Starcruiser Adventure Day 1 Pt2! | Dinner, Merch, Light Saber Training & Resistance Storyline

- In today’s vlog we continue day one of our Star Wars Galactic Star Cruiser adventure! We start part 2 with dinner in the Crown of Corellia, where we have a multi course meal from all over the galaxy! Then we end dinner with a show, Gaya performs for us live and it was a lot of fun! Then Jenn and Jackson head back to the room but I head back out into the action of the storyline. We were finally able to meet Sammy and follow his storyline, where we tried to help Chewbacca stay hidden from the Stormtroopers. We also got a better look at the Sublight Lounge during this time. We get to help out in the engineering room, then we have light saber training, and we end the night with a toast in the atrium. This was a really great first day on the Star Cruiser. We hope you enjoyed joining in on this adventure in space! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

Happy Sunday funday sundae fundae!
Luv u tim jenn and Jackson I have autism and depression wish u could have goofy and Pluto in a video shoutout
Loving this in depth look at the Star Cruiser Tim! Thank you for doing this, you look like you're really enjoying yourself.
Guardians of the Galaxy 27th may 2022
The Pole is at about 6:26. You're welcome.
One thing that I think they should’ve considered for this, like with the actual cruise ships, was having a nursery and/or kid’s club for those below the age of 4-5, somewhere that they can go and have fun while more ‘advanced missions’ are happening on the ship, especially for parents like you guys. It sucks that Jen missed out on a majority of the story on this day, and Jackson probably wasn’t able to have as much fun (or nap lol) as much as he could have compared to just being with other kids and toys in an environment like a nursery or activity room.
honestly was super surprised there wasn't one! Don't the cruises have something like that?
Yeah, just imagine a family not as filthy rich as you making this experience. Paying like 5k+ Dollars for not even being able to attend the (crap) activities, sitting around in a crowded place trying to calm down your junior. What a total mess!
They'd have to raise the price another $2k for that.... (I'm being sarcastic)
Those CM's deserve probably way more than they are being paid, it looks like they really can make or break the experience. I agree, Jackson is probably way too young for it but hey, sometimes a guy just has to dance.
Based on what I can find on BackStage, the face/masked characters make $18/hr before taxes. So not terrible but not great.
@@Adrian-Maxwell Agreed.
I want to do this. My friend Elizabeth and I ALREADY HAVE OUR CHARACTERS PLANNED! =D
@@Adrian-Maxwell That sounds pretty terrible, actually… Hope that’s not true! These folks are real master improv actors, and also have a huge amount of responsibility. Should def be quite a bit more. I hope the regular cast is making at least that.
I’m pretty sure the main characters are equity actors which are in a different pay scale than most Disney characters
@@lcflngn Based on what I've heard, character CM at the parks don't make that much, which is why I say it's not terrible (granted my information on park CM salaries may be outdated.)
At the end Tim said it’s probably best for kids aged 5 or 6 and up. I’m feeling like it might be better to wait until they’re 9 or 10. Then they can run and play independently and really get into the game elements of the experience. Even 5 and 6 year olds often need naps on big days like this!
Unfortunately,the starcruiser is shutting down.
The RFID magicband hand shake is amazing. Blending art and technology is what Disney does best.
I totally missed the hand shake, who was it with?
That's simple tech. It's just an rfid reader, nothing to fawn over
@@jcspotter7322 if someone has never experienced it before then it’s pretty neat :)
I like the handshake and the story. Kind of awkward right before you eat, right? Isn’t he shaking many hands?
@@Barbspongebob Oop, pack it in guys, the Fun Police are here
I would have MAJOR FOMO during this experience. I would want to be part of EVERY storyline and interaction. I would have a hard time not joining in every gathering.
Thank you, Jen, for your hard work getting these videos out! Amazing job as usual!!
Jenn is a hero!
It was tough for sure. That said, once you're "in the story" on one path or another, you really do forget that there are other things to do. Additionally, there is absolutely no way to do everything.
i already had fomo on tim’s behalf when he saw that group doing an activity with sammie and couldn’t get in the room😭
NOO THE POLE 6:30 😭😭😭
Same pole that thwarted Jenny. The POLE (tm) is the greatest SW villain since Darth Vader and can’t believe you can’t fight him any more even for $3000 a person.
Star Wars: The Pole Strikes Back
At 21:58, the actor playing Sammie was having a pair of somewhat inebriated passengers who were consuming time from him run all the way down the hall on Deck 7 to "look for Chewie". It was masterful crowd control. He involved them by having them look for Chewie but he tired them out by having them run the length of the deck.
OML just saw you went at the same time as Tim. As a theatre student, I admire these actors’ ability to improvise so flawlessly; this “crowd control” story is amazing!
Hahahah, I thought he was working with kids!
@@madelinewatson142 It was genuinely a top moment of the trip.
the stormtroopers getting tim to try and open the “crew only” door was hilarious
“I used my watch. I didn’t tap my magic band, don’t tell them” 😂😂😂
Trooper -"have you pledged you loyalty to the first order?"
TIM -"NO"... that was great 🤣🤣
I really appreciate your roleplaying! If you are gonna pay out the money and participate in this, you might as well have fun with it and go all in. Pretending you can't get into the room for the Stormtroopers was pretty genius on the fly roleplay!
The First Order officer guy is great. He's like the perfect amount of hammy over the top evil voice acting.
oh man, these cast members are amazing! I personally could NOT deal with being around so many strangers, especially those that seek attention and 'hog' the experience. Such is my life as an introvert I guess! I feel like I'd never be able to leave satisfied with the experience that way, always feeling like you're missing out on something or that your experience was weakened due to other guests. A bit too unpredictable for me to spend that much money on. I wish there were more attractions/experiences in less crowded areas that had more to do with theming and immersion but less to do with the action and storyline. Like, I just want to go to a space spa and have a casual chat with Gaya or something XD
I agree with you Taylor. There should be experiences for those guests that have sound aversion and would prefer a quieter interaction with the crew. I think Disney will catch on to this. The chefs could hold a cooking class where you make some exotic item, or a cast member could present an art class where you replicate the picture of a foreign planet. Hopefully, more offerings will be coming to the starcruiser.
There's a lot you can do purely on the data pads, going off on your own and exploring the ship and interacting with cast members in person only when needed.
Yeah, the more I see if this, the more overwhelming and exhausting this experience seems to get. I'm glad I didn't really care to begin with. That plus the cost alone made me hesitate. I don't think this would be for me. That said I'm glad you had a good time.
It's obvious they knew who you guys were and went out of their way to make your experience special. Literally all the cast members came over and hung out with you guys. Not complaining but I just think you should make it clear that most people won't have the same experience as you.;
The cast of characters on the Halcyon are phenomenal!!! Keeping character with strangers right in their face… That is a scale
I didn't notice the earpieces that the characters have. Definitely excellent way to keep everyone coordinated.
You would really have to love star Wars to enjoy this. It's so busy and hectic looking.
if someone didnt love star wars why would they even think going to this?this is for big star wars fans
LOL "This is an active work zone..." the sass 😆
Crewmember: Have you ever blended fuel before?
Tim: No! But I love blending stuff!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
If only Sammie broke character and laughed.
Hilarious :)
Jenn's hair is gorg, love her. Loved Sammy!! Glad you guys had a great trip, thanks for everything you do!!
Tim looks like Captain Lone Star from Space Balls during light Saber training lol
This looks like it could be really fun but I don't think my anxious heart could take playing pretend star wars as an adult😳🤭
I love Tim's like, "I tapped my watch, not my magic band. Shh, don't tell them." LOL
Lmao yeah making the troopers think he loyal to the first order
To spite myself, I’m truly loving these past two vlogs. So detailed, I hope daddy D, doesn’t flag them for ‘spoilers’. In all honesty, I’d never be able to justify the expense of the experience, but the 11 year old in me, the one who stood in line for 10 hours to see Star Wars in a packed and smoked filled theatre (yes, back then you could smoke in a theater😖), relishes the idea of living in the world that so inflamed my imagination those many years ago. Additionally the ‘now me’ of all 55 trips around the sun, would not have the wherewithal to LARP for much more than an hour or two. You three are quite the troopers! Thanks again for all you share, you help this old guy feel young and adventurous every single day. ❤️
I am not to far behind you in age. They say you are as old as you feel. Even though I am 3 trips behind you. I do not feel like I am 52. I feel like I am 35 right now.. Also Tim does not think he can go on fast spinning rides. Guess what age I finally get the nerve to ride the orange side of mission space. Here is a little hint. Last time we were down there. It was in late October of 2018. Anyways I would love to experience the Galaxy Starcruiser.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience helped us confirm that this is not something we would want to do...glad you had fun
Seeing Tim's hand hanging up there waiting for the high five, I laughed and felt bad at the same time....🤣🤣
It’s just odd you ended up with that column, or “The Pole” as well during the dinner show.
Omg this is kinda hysterical…random Florida moms mixed with star wars nerds and then Tim just being very obvious and asking logical questions 😂😂😂
this is so cute omg all the kids living out their dreams and i am sure adults too, but just seeing the little guy learning in his lightsaber training, omg so heart warming!! what an experience!
(Han Solo in carbonite shuffling along and hiding Chewy behind him while other cruisers act innocent)
Best improv moment ever.
I can’t find it, do you have a time stamp?
The actors were fantastic! I was drawn in just watching the video.
As an introvert this would probably not be the vacation for me but I enjoy watching you guys have fun :)
Definitely fair. However, I personally interacted with the crew maybe 30% as I planned to but I was still witnessing the story beats around me. It was still pretty cool.
I’m an introvert too, but I think if it was a fanverse I was really into, I’d start to get into it. Star Wars isn’t really my thing (I enjoy the movies but I don’t have the emotional connection to it that real fans do) but if it’d been a similar Harry Potter or LOTR experience I’d probably relish the chance to interact!
To bring an extrovert freind, and go on a imiler path with them so they can do most of the interacting while you still get the story
Thank you Jen for your hard work in getting these videos out! I would LOVE to do this one day, maybe if it went down in price in a few years time, I completely agree that young children maybe wouldn’t understand the plot lines as much but I’m excited to see the rest of your vlogs from this trip!
That was a super fun view. I need to learn how to do my hair like Jenn, that was inspired. Seems to me 7/8 is a good starting age. (7 is the “Age of reason” as my Catholic grandparents would say.) I can see Jackson being awesome at light sabers when he’s Henry’s age - that kid had a blast. I hope you all go back in a few years & try it again. I do plan to go one day, but it won’t be for a while, so I love seeing all the vlogger experiences. Thx so much Tim, Jenn & Jackson!
Henry was adorable to watch during lightsaber training. It’s definitely an experience tailored to that age group.
Tim is doing so well on this cruise. He is on point with his role playing.
Lenka Mok dancing with Jackson! ❤️
How is the leg doing are you feeling a little bit better?
I don’t know why but I found the moment where Tim was looking for a high five and no one saw him so funny. Tim and Sammie are the new Star Wars hero team we never knew we needed.
@@bonniere8995 No, no, no! Log live the Empire. First Order stinks.
@@bonniere8995 Not in the fans' hearts.
@@bonniere8995 If you say so.
The guy playing Sammy is fantastic!
I prefer the guy from the preview night.
We LOVED this Sammie from the voyage that Tim was on. It has been hard to watch other Sammies. I'm sure that everyone is great.
@@drewgrgich Agreed
I just want to follow home around and would likely mess up and call him Sage. 😂
I can't with this experience. There are just too many unpredictable interactions with strangers. Utter nightmare.
I had so much anxiety just watching this LOL def not my cup of tea
That’s sort of the point of it
Oh no! Talking to people!
@@ZachEverett Yes Captain Condescending, sometimes some people have a hard time talking to people.
@@TheNunududu I'm going to walk it back a moment. I had just gotten home from a trip to Costco where people were particularly on antisocial. People weren't even responding to me saying excuse me, just give me gruff looks. So I was in a bit of a grumpy mood about people not speaking to each other. Sorry for my rudeness. I've noticed a huge downslide in social interaction post covid and saddens me. Have a good day!
For all of us that can't be there, THANKYOU! That is something eles! Told my nephew he's booking his stay there!!😇😇😇
“May the force me with you” “and also with you” 😂 same
Sammie was awsomr, I feel when Tim found him things where going wrong and they helped eachother
Sammie and Raithe were our absolute favorites - mainly because we interacted with them the most. It is odd to watch other voyages because that isn't "our Sammie".
Jackson is such an amazing little boy. Love the way he dances. What a happy little child he is. This experience I would imagine it's difficult for a younger child because there's so much going on but he is such a trooper. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us.
I don't think they really took the needs of small kids into mind properly when designing the place.
So that's how it works...that's amazing that they make the magic bands work like that. Started with the rides and now this which is awesome. I really want to go now.
Lol
At Tim saying, “and also with you” under his breath in response to the Light Saber Trainer saying , “May the Force be with you” . You can always tell a Catholic raised boy.
Haha my catholic upbringing re-emerged with that one 😂😂😂
Although the last time I was in mass (few years ago now) I’d forgotten that they’d changed it and gave the “and also with you” response. The side eyes that I got from that 😂😂 can’t help it though, it’s an ingrained reflex!
Sammie is amazing. Give that CM a star already!
The light saber instructor was great. Sammi was awesome. So many great cast members.
Its so cool "journey" and interacting with shipmembers and other visitors
Tim's whole relationship with the two storm troopers is hilarious to watch.
Came back to this a year later because I just realized why Sage from Allears looked familiar! 😂 I'm not a star wars fan so even when I watched this a year ago Sammie was my favorite! Now watching him as himself is even better.
My son Sully is 2 and we have watched this video playlist of the star cruiser so many times. Sully will say, "Can we watch Jack Jack ?" (His brothers name is also Jackson and we call him Jack Jack so he calls your Jackson Jack Jack) it's adorable. We love these videos. 🥰
Wow, this is great. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius. Shame Jenn missed the evenings activities. Watching Jackson dance at dinner was brilliant. He is such a groover. Great editing Jenn, you are a marvel...
41:13 Instructor: May the Force be with you!
Tim: And also with you.
Haha 😄
Lol church goers get it!
Lol I was like I’m getting catholic vibes.
I think this is an amazing experience and I applaud those cast members. Not only are they working but they have to be actors and actresses for this job! After seeing this in depth, I personally don’t think this is for me. It is very immersive which is cool but it seems like a vacation within itself and I’d like to see the outside and park hop😂 Thanks Tracker family!!!
I think the Stormtroopers should hassle the guests more LOL
Jen, your space hair is so adorable! Thank you so much for sharing this adventure with us. I am happy to watch you guys explore. But for me and for that kind of money, I’m going on a Disney cruise! 🚢
For that kind of money, I will be visiting somewhere else.
How much was this ?
@@alancooper6343 Tim had posted an earlier vlog where he discussed the top ten Q&A. I believe he said a two day stay (with whatever is included) for two people us $4,800.00. He also said you had to be a true Star Wars fan. I'm not that much of a Star Wars fan. Two days for $2,400.00 a person is too much money for me.
@@sandrad2261 the room they had cost way more than that. They had a suite
This 3 part Vlog was awesome! Tim made the Starcruiser look better then I expected.
I still think it’s overpriced but the cast members really are talented and they do a great job. They deserve everything they’re being paid and more. They really make it Such a cool experience
That’s so cool that the magic bands can “connect and communicate” to eachother and can help log quests or give them out
35:05 The hanging high five, love it! Toy Story 4 vibes. LOL
There is so much to the Galactic Star Cruiser. Hopefully the price will come down in a decade or so when I would be able to go. Definitely a once in a lifetime unique experience.
I like how Tim tricked the storm troopers, you’re so good Tim!
That was a brilliant walk through video and good for getting tips too! Thank you!
im glad you guys are making these so we can see it, b/c so many people won't be able to afford this. still crazy made their own licensed star wars larp though lol 😅
You have the greatest videos.
😊
49:50 can’t tell if the gentleman on the left is doing George Lucas cosplay or if that’s just how he looks. Amazing either way
I definitely think it was at least an intentional George Lucas outfit. With the plaid and the vest it’s definitely a typical Lucas outfit.
I definitely cackled when I saw him.
I'm so happy you guys had a fun time. For the price, each person in your party should get an outfit and specialty Light Saber included.
Brilliant videos. Part 1 and 2. Thanx Tim, Jen and Jackson
My favorite guy on the ship is the Jeff Bridges look a like. 😁
It's interesting how Sandro, the wandering musician character is billed in promotional material as a Togruta (like Ahsoka), but in the previous videos by you and other vloggers, he's just in slightly reddish make-up and no headpiece (some people say that version is a Miralian, and he has the face markings or tattoos); but now he's finally a Togruta.
Wonder if they didn't have the prosthetics ready when the first voyages were made. I also see some pictures of the Togruta Sandro (your video only shows him from afar) that shows a different actor than the Miralian version I've seen (you also got different Lt. Croy and Raithe this time around, I believe). Do they rotate the Sandro species/makeup depending on the actor?
All these things interest me because I wish I was an Imagineer.
Sandro in that tiny room cracked me up, he was so chill like oh hi.
Him and Raithe are my little crushes! Adorable both
Alright...lightsaber training was the most Star Warsy thing so far. And the instructor was great. I teared up.
The yoda voice made me tear up. It’s the first time on the cruise it’s triggered emotion in me.
Sammy reminds me of Christopher Ballinger.
Heck, I'm not yet a parent and just by watching videos of this experience I can tell you this isn't ideal for small kids younger than 6.
I'd say younger than 4 or so. The actors are AMAZING with little kids. One of my best memories was a little girl who couldn't be more than 4 and about 3.5 feet tall taking Chewie's hand and saying "You need to follow me. The bad guys are coming!" and taking him downstairs.
@@drewgrgich I love that! That's AWESOME!
Wow Jen has got some Galactic Moves!!!
I’m so glad you guys are doing videos on this. I was so bummed because it way out of my price range but now I see this is not for me lol! Looks very cool for people that enjoy really getting into the story and the characters though
Wait - - I think you're doing it wrong...aren't you supposed to be telling all of us that enjoyed it and can't wait to go back that we're wrong and complete Disney shills? :)
Seriously though - - I genuinely appreciate your acknowledgement that while it isn't for you, you can recognize how some people would enjoy it!
Isn’t it wild how some people just can’t let others enjoy things lol I’m glad people are loving this. It looks like Disney did a superb job with it.
I had to replay “I thought I was going to get a high five” lol I keep laughing at that hahaha Tim’s sarcasm and jokes to us makes me feel like we are his friends going to Disney with him! I love it! Hands down my favorite Disney/family vlogger!
This is exactly what sets his videos apart from other Disney vloggers. Or at least that’s what it seems to me, anyway.
That was a good trick with your watch by the way! The storm troppers didn't even look at what arm was your magic band was on!
Looks likes a lot of fun but I think it's too expensive tbh
I hope I'm not the only one think that it's too expensive.....
It is too expensive. For 6k you can travel to 3 or 4 countries for almost a month and do alot of shopping.
Or you can goto Vegas for $60 a night in a good room at the Winn.
This is one and done kind of a experience. They will definitely lower the price once the initial rush is over. Or who knows it might go up too.
I think it’s very expensive to feel trapped in this thing 😂 not my kind of vacation. I don’t see many out of state people traveling to do this unless they are a huge fan of Star Wars.
You are not the only one. It is super expensive for what it is.
Thank you all 3 of you and I rather go on a Disney cruise, instead of star cruiser ( I think that's what's it's called) also I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks it's expensive to stay there...😊👍🏻
It would have been interesting to see what information you could have gotten from those storm troopers by using your magic band and going with them into that room. You could have reported what you saw back to the resistance.
I bet the people playing storm troopers are living their childhood dreams!!
I cannot wait to get a Chewie hug, it will have been 3 years 😁
Best stay so far do you think?? I feel like I would be claustrophobic inside it
I thought the same thing! While I understand it, I don't like the idea of not being able to see outside!
@@victoriaalvarez3211 exactly!
I have claustrophobia and I thought this from the beginning when I heard that there wouldn't be real windows!!! ☠️ no way
@@fallonelle if you go to the garden part of the ship there’s a massive skylight! Also every room has a door to the outside that can be used in emergencies, it’s just hidden in a closet thingy
@@TiggiTheWillful Having access to to a door "In case of emergencies" and a room that has a skylight wouldn't be that useful with people who are claustrophobic.
The small doors are droid passages. They show up in at least one of the Star Wars games where you take control of a droid.
In this storyline that particular door was to the original owner of the Halcyon's room. It's covered in the tour they give you when you first board
Damn I wish I could afford this. I would LOVE to bring my dad to this he’s a whole ass Disney and Star Wars nerd and I feel like he’s have a freaking BLAST at this experience, even more so than Tim😂
“I thought I was gettin a high five” that part got me in the feels
I've been rewatching old videos and came across "On Christmas Eve We Watch Star Wars Episode One & Bake Cookies" from 6 years ago ! I highly recommend just to see Jenn's impersonation of Anakin Skywalker 😆😆😆 Good Times ✌❤
thank you Tim and jenn for this fun Star Wars stream see you soon 💖💖
4:19 bluey in space!
Amazing - thank you so much for sharing.
6:25 The sight line issue seems like a very rookie mistake for an organization that wrote the book on immersive theater design. Disney really dropped the ball here.
Which book? I like to read this!
I can't believe this was all in one day!! What time did Jackson go to sleep? A whole adventure happened after dinner!! Sorry you missed it, Jenn. ❤️
😂 okay there were quite a few times on here that I laughed pretty hard! "This is an active work zone so if you're going to be here we do ask that you ACTIVELY WORK!" or Tim saying "No I've never blended fuel before but I love blending stuff!!"
I didn't understand the handshake thing Tim was talking about... can someone explain that to me? Also, I have to say this experience still looks extremely claustrophobic and overwhelming for me.
These CM's are SO GOOD! I can't imagine staying in character and improvising NONSTOP like this while having such a huge large audience!!! When do they sleep!??!? If cruises run everyday then surely they switch on and off? Sammie is especially likable and entertaining to me. Raithe is just giving me major Big Lebowski vibes lol.
The CM has a device that scans your magic band when you shake his hand so that they can keep track of your allegiances I think!
I think this experience would be much better if they set an age limit to get rid of all of the pushy kids who everyone is always tripping over.
41:13 “and also with you” 😂😂😂 my leftover catholic school upbringing felt that 😂😂😂😂
I’m enjoying the videos but I definitely think I’m too introverted for this experience. Definitely agree that toddlers wouldn’t do well on the Star Cruiser. My daughter is a tad older than Jackson and she would be totally confused
They got the same booth with the poor view that Jenny Nicholson had, I was just watching her vlog. What a coincidence haha.
Hey Jen the editing for these videos are amazing. I can only imagine the time and effort you put into these videos and it shows. Thank you for the amazing videos. You guys are awesome
Tim waiting on the high five ✋🏼
Hahaha
This is so awesome
