I don't see why people think this is dangerous the wave hit the rocks, turn into like a foot of rapids then flow into a big pool (that probably has sand on the bottom)
As long as they stay in the pool, it's reasonably safe. However, standing on those rocks is idiotically dangerous. It doesn't take much rushing seawater to sweep a person off their feet. Then they fall and get swept down those rocks on their bare skin, shredding it and/or breaking bones, too. And some injuries could prevent them from swimming/staying afloat without help. Search TH-cam for "Tourists get swept off rocks by waves".

They are life savers they are train for this condition it's there job and they are training for there next rescue. If you were stuck in the ocean you'll want to be stuck with these guys.
