Unfortunately I was feeling sick this swell so I kept it short. Fun quick session at the best Pipe/Backdoor I've seen in a while followed by a sketchy, too big for the spot, session down the way to dodge the crowd. Best wave at 4:30, surfing starts at 3:18.
Question, I live in manly Australia. I've been surfing for a year and a half on a couple different boards currently a 9,6 modern longboard. getting comfortable with small turns and very confident in standing up. I know that you can't rush from a longboard to a shortboard and should take your time but I feel confident in using both a shortboard and longboard depending on the conditions of the waves. I'm 6,3 and around 75 kg. I want something short that is stable and has good litres that I can still turn with. i would appreciate any recommendations on what I should get. I was thinking of the modern Highline 6,2. please give me some feedback, thanks 🤙🏄
volume is your friend at this stage. I like riding a proper wave step up (6'8") in everyday waves and that will also improve your form and style. I'd go with something like that
thanks for replying @@ConD00R , i have a BIG BARON SOFTBOARD BIG BARON SOFT BLACK 3 fins and have started using that. right now i can catch the wave and ride them both sides. i just need to learn and do proper turns on it.
just recently started liking surfing. never done it before and i live in a city in England where there is no beaches, im also 16 with no way of getting a job. does any one got any advice on how to start surfing?
That looked sketchy where you started to get inside. Reminded me of all my years surfing Indicators in LA. Lots of rocks and sea urchin. Also. You just picked some amazing waves with all that crowd. Fun POV. Thank you!

@@ConD00R true XD
Would have thought catching the Rip Current would get you out the back faster than all that paddling!
Yew thanks for the tip
please tell me what type of camera setup you use
just a GoPro 12 on a bite mount.
thats soo mazing
Thanks
Would you ever surf pipe?
what's a left?
Great footage! Wish I wasn't old, fat and out of shape, I miss surfing.
get back out there
Best technique to keep the lens water droplet free ?
dunk before every wave/lick consistently
Rocky landing. 😂
as usual
