The one I was on had padding on the bars in front of the seat too, so you could just hold on to those, and even if you lean too far forward it's cushioned. Ya, it's a medicine sold over the counter to let people fly without throwing up. But you should ask your pharmacist about what they think is best, they would know exactly what is best. Might have something you can take before going to the festival.

Yup, that's west coast amusements. Last year they didn't bring the zipper, but this year they did, I guess it's hit and miss. When they don't have it, I don't even bother going, cuz there's nothing else worth it.
The Zipper used to be the best ride ever, but today, it has become an abomination to all American and Canadian carnivals and a symbol of the intense, burning hatred American society has developed towards singles.

The guy was actually pretty cool about it and let me go by myself in the car though, so to me it's so a pretty cool ride! I just talked to the carny, they are all pretty cool and are understanding most of the time!
I bet those Zippers are in Australia, aren't they? Also, when you say "open seat," does that mean they don't have the enclosure of the steel cage? From my point of view, even if, hypothetically, someone ever did manage to slip out from under the lap bar, an enclosed capsule would prevent the person from flying off the ride and falling 50+ feet to either death or half a year in the emergency room/ICU.
Apparently, about 20 or so years ago, some drunks at Chance Rides decided to make a huge public lie about how even grown men single riders would literally turn sideways (and I mean like 90 degrees sideways) and slip completely out from under the lap bar. Now, even the insurance companies that sell insurance to these carnivals won't let the ride operators let singles on certain rides such as the Zipper. And I'm surprised there aren't protests against "No Single Riders" policies for the Zipper. Like, either American society may as well already hate singles to death and want singles put out of sight and out of mind, or carnivals nationwide may as well have a hidden squadron of armed and loaded F-16s just waiting to unleash a shower of AGM-65 Mavericks on any anti-No Single Riders protest that erupts.

Rumors are they stopped having this ride cause it wasn’t safe one year four people fell out of this ride and died because the doors opened up on the ride they tell you to ride at your own risk
Damn!! That's tragic. They didn't have it for a few years, but then it came back a few years ago, so I dunno if they still have it around. They should make it safer and then we can continue to ride, cuz it's a great ride compared to the rest. Cheers! David.

it was at my fair this past august took them 7 yrs to bring it back hopefully its there again next year lol

Wade shows had a carnival right over in Jet Blue Park (Fort Myers) just a couple months ago!

you could try taking gravol, that's what people do on plane rides. I haven't tried it before though.
