Normally think relicing is just plain crap, but in this case, the worm wood and aged metal looks great. I wish someone would have compared the ASV10A and AMV10A. There's not a single video showing a sound comparison.
you're absolutely right, I'm searching too! In Europe they sell the smaller AMV10A 519.00 € while the bigger ASV10A goes for 475.00 €, nothing logical... or...
Michael Kaylor, & mich0008: Go to the actual (google) "ibanez guitars official website" (or any guitar manufacture's *official website*); there you can navigate, and go to the hollow body/semi-hollow - Artcore ASV10A, and ArtcoreAVM10A, guitars where there are some comparison video(s) but, in my opinion, those videos are not as good as they should be.
Michael Kaylor I saw/played one in a shop a short while ago. From a distance, 5 feet or more, it really does look like a well played vintage guitar. Upon closer inspection it’s quite obvious that it’s artificially done. But it really does feel really really good!
I have one and its Beautiful to look at and to play. I was getting a dot till I picked this up so comfortable. The ageing is a nice change if your like me and keep your guitars in pristine condition. They should show the beading on it to as it's just Beautiful.
can you tell what's the difference between the ASV10 & the AMV10? except the body size all parts are the same! I don't understand Ibanez policy to sell 2 guitars close identical the same year?!?!
Because he can. :-) This semi-hollowbody guitar can do anything. It can go from unplugged, to folk acoustic electric, to mellow jazz, to to stinky blues, to rock, to heavy djent, depending how you dial your choice in on the guitar and amp.
Really like the finish, I think it suits these guitars, like a beautiful old piece of furniture
