GeeQueSurprised P.J Marlvins I’m 23 days without weed today. It’s really not hard for me. Other people say it’s TOUGH. But it’s all fukn mind power 💪🏼🤘🏼 good luck though keep it going!
@GeeQuesurprised Nice Video clip! Apologies for chiming in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Saankramer Life Card System (do a google search)? It is a smashing one off guide for learning how to stop drinking minus the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my best friend Jordan at last got great success with it.
2 years ago I watched this video and I dreamed about getting sober. I was drunk while watching it. I used to drink every single minute of the day. I would average 750ml of vodka, every single day & at my worst more than 2, 750 ml’s. I can say I was a full blown alcoholic by 21. I was so jealous that he was able to quit so easily. My journey wasn’t nearly as easy but last week I was 1 year sober!!! THANK YOU FOR CONVINCING TO STOP. MY LIFE IS 10000% better and everyone reading this can too. I LOOK BETTER, stopped doing stupid things, every morning I wake up ready to start the day, my mind wasn’t as foggy, I started winning with money, my sex life is better, etc. I have a million reasons to never drink ever again. **EDIT, I’m now 2 years sober as of June 19th! You can do it too!
Thats awesome man, congrats. I've ruined most of my relationships and just recently broke up with my girl because of my drinking and me being an asshole. I'm ready to quit its starting to ruin my life.
God bless man your story relates very similar to mine. Today is day 2 but I’ve spent the past 2.5 years after watching my mom die of cancer drinking a 750 ml of Tito’s a day to at my peak Monday of drinking 3 pints of Tito’s. I’ve lost my fiancé and I can’t explain how dark and hopeless I feel. I hope that in time I can say what everyone else says. That life is so much better. Wish me luck
@@sebz1390 hey bro, I promise it’s possible. PLEASE seek professional help if you think you can’t do it alone. I remember I used to drink because I was depressed, but I was also depressed because … I drank. 3 pints is a lot and I’m sure you’re tired of always being hungover, doing stupid stuff, always wondering when (and where) you’re going to get your next drink. Withdrawals are something serious and if you experience any, contact someone! There’s medication out there to HELP you! I promise in due time getting sober will be the best thing that ever happened to you. Take everything a day at a time. I used to drink alone, I just enjoyed being drunk. It almost cost me EVERYTHING, including my life. 2 Dui’s, countless car accidents, friendships, relationships, opportunities, jobs, family… Now I have a great job, my own car, my own house, everything I ever dreamed of! && I say all this to say that YOU can do it too! ADDICTION is giving up everything for one thing. RECOVERY is giving up ONE thing, for Everything!!! You got this man, I’m praying for you.
I was addicted to heroin for years. When I stopped doing heroin, I stopped drinking, and doing other drugs. My life is the best it's ever been right now. I honestly never thought I'd stop using drugs and alcohol. I couldn't imagine life without those things. But now I couldn't imagine life with those things. It's amazing how awesome you feel when you're clean and sober.
How does one even try heroin when you know it's a hard bad drug, fucks with your whole life, and have to use a needle, foil and/or spoon? Unless you're going through a really bad time or doctor prescribes you some opioid, you crave for more then look for dirty solutions. That's why there's weed and alcohol.
I’m quitting. I’m tired of being hungover. I’ve lost so many friendships. I’ve gotten into fights. I’ve spoken my “truth” to people while drunk and the words came out completely wrong.
Yeah that's totally true been there too, let's be sober. I just relapse drank a little vodka only because I got a new job to celebrate. If you ask me I rather smoke a bong full of weed.
@@ivan4992 wait a min. You mean to tell me that the drunk guy who gets in fights at the bar, wakes up not feeling well? I always thought you guys were like immune to that kind of stuff. I never would have imagined tbh.
I've drank a bottle every 2 days just about for the last 8 years or so and quit smokes as well. And I'm currently 3 days sobers and smokeless. Started on August 5th. Wish me good luck!
@@jmcg7705 much appreciated thanks!, 16 days sober! I've smokin some cigs here are there its completely tough to go cold turkey on both and extremely hard not to smoke when your not drinking. But I'm still trucking!
@@austinessick7926 Good for you my man ....that is a BIG BIG ACHIEVEMENT and i salute you big time ....in some ways im a little jealous of you in a kind way ...inasmuch as my journey in recovery has been outrageously fantastic and i wish i could travel that fantastic journey again .....when you've been told your life will improve 100% they lied ....its 1000% !!! next month i'll be 35 years sober .....what a great journey ...i'd bore you to death about how great my journey has been ....alas i did'nt give up the smoking and got throat cancer ....its healed but i speak through a tube in my throat ....never mind ......im truely glad you are on your own journey and let me know of it if you like ....best wishes always .....jake mcginness

I lost my wife of 21 years and now about to lost my house. I'm going to stop drinking today! I want my life back. I don't think I can get my wife back bc she's dating a cop now and seems to be very happy with him and they are getting married in March. Take it from me my friends alcohol's not worth it!!!
I used to suffer from alcohol addiction myself. I now no longer drink alcohol. If you want help quitting alcohol too then go here now: www.MootSober. xyz
30 plus years ago I was told I’d be a father for the first time. I quit drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes the same day and never touched them again. I couldn’t do it responsibly so I don’t do it at all.
Kristina Clark I understand that I’m unique in this. I’ve always been able to walk away from something when I’m done with it. I wish you the best of luck.
This man is telling the 100 percent truth..the exact things happened to me when i quit alcohol. Especially the mental clarity and sharpness i felt.I literally thought something was wrong with me but then i realized that for 20 years i had been suppressing my minds ABILITY to reason.trust me the best thing that ever happened to me was stopping alcohol.
I've not drank for 3.5weeks now. I was self destructive. Every bad moment in my life lead back to booze. I never in my wildest dreams imagined a weekend without a sesh. I was just seeing how long I could go without but I really feel I wanna see this out for life now. Wish me luck.
I don't know you but it takes a lot of self will 2 quit, I got 49 days today and I got a decent job plus it keeps me focused and not 2 much free time stay strong
Started drinking when I was 14. When I was 19 I went to prison for 2 years because of it. Lost every single girlfriend ive ever had, have had 4 shoulder surgeries from bar fights and dumb shit while blacked out drunk, the list goes on. Every bad thing that has happened in my life is from alcohol. Im 32 now so I think its about time to give this up for good. Im 28 days sober. So far so good.
@@Minolla No I relapsed. I was completely sober for 4 months but ended up picking up the bottle again the day I got laid off from my job of 7 years. Still haven't been able get sober again unfortunatley.
@@warewolf626 @Angel Calderon Thanks for answering and I'm so sorry to hear that. I can understand the reason why you relapsed. Just don't stop trying, you can do it! ;-)
Angel 626 I would really recommend you try A.A. Personally, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I could never do it alone. Find your tribe. They’ll help you.
I experienced the same benefits and would never go back. Ten years alcohol free❣️ I am so over the self-medicated zombies who have the audacity to ridicule me for choosing to be vibrant, alive, awake, aware, creative, productive, healthy and enjoying life. They actually think they can convince me to give all that up to fit in with them. 😂 Not this girl! 💕
The other day my daughter walked in front of the tv while I was watching, I asked her why she was doing this as I couldn’t see the tv. She said she was covering the beer ad that was on because she didn’t want me to see it and have a beer. Haven’t drank since Edit: thanks for the encouraging reply and all the likes, never had so many before. In the last 503 days I’ve only had two beers, which I’m very happy about. Good luck to everyone on their journey 👍
I was incredibly shy growing up and alcohol helped me break out of my shell in college and make friends and date women I never thought I would have had the chance to date as I had trouble even looking at most women in the eye. Numerous people have told me over the years that they liked me more when I drank. It's a crutch I always felt I needed in social situations. Last year I went four months sober after noticing myself going into darker places of self harm after a night of heavy drinking and going home alone. I resumed drinking this year thinking that I had exorcised those demons but after a run of bad luck this summer it's all come flooding back. So I'm ready to go back on the wagon...permanently. Tired of the crutch. Tired of the mood swings. Even if it means losing friends by not going out as often and being more quiet when I do go out. And instead of going home drunk and being left with those dark thoughts...pop open a good book and immerse myself in another world.
I know how you feel, people also keep telling me, I'm more fun when I drink... it's annoying...makes me mad in hindsight. I hated parties when I was young and didnt see the point in drinking until I myself started to use, yes use the substance to overcome my insecurities and nothing else. People just ain't no good. Hope you're still on the wagon?!
I am 29 and still shy and introverted, but I found 2 supplements that are helping me a lot. Besides alcohol, caffeine used to also help me be more social and have more energy, specially working as a cook and as a server, but the effect didnt last too long and the social anxiety that I got after was horrible, so I quit caffeine too. Caffeine gave me acne anyway. The two supplements i found that have been helping me are vitamin-b12 and iron, but also try to reduce the time on your phone screen or computer at least when youre in public. I have noticed that screen time affects my eyes and anxiety a lot. I am taking L-theanine too, but I think the biggest difference was made by the vitamin B-12 and the iron. I tried the L-theanine on its own before and I dont feel like it made that much of a difference on me, but some people do swear by L-theanine, so I suggest at least trying it. For L-theanine, try 200mg if 100mg doesnt work. If youre on caffeine, I strongly suggest quitting it. I know, its hard, and its not fair that other people drink 3 or more cups of coffee every day and they dont get anxiety or skin problems. I had been drinking coffee since I was a little kid until this year, I am 29 years old. I love the taste and how it puts me in a good mood and makes me more alert, but the anxiety it caused afterwards is not worth it for me anymore. I just wasnt sure quitting coffee would actually help because it does make me feel really good for a while, so I thought the anxiety was just the regular me without coffee. I guess I was in denial because I loved coffee so much. Its going to be hard, and no, the withdrawal doesnt last only 2 weeks, maybe for the headaches, but you wont feel a hundred percent you until at least 2 or 3 months after you quit, and for some people it takes even longer, 6 months to a year, but you will feel a little better every week. I have been 5 weeks without caffeine and I can tell you it is worth it. By the way, preworkouts have a lot of caffeine, unless it explicitly says that its stimulant free or caffeine free. Check the ingredients on the label, they all have caffeine. And those things like G-fuel and other stimulants for gamers also have a lot of caffeine.
I drastically reduced my alcohol from January this year, and I can relate to this video 100%. Everything alpha says, is on the money. It really is a life changer. Still have a few beers every month or so, but the point is I'm in control. I'll never go back to regular drinking, no way. Life is too good without it!
@@godisgreat5141hello. Im on day 6 and I plan on trying to control my beer drinking to just weekend and no more than 4. Can you tell me what works for you?
I'm 8 days sober, that is twice as long as my last "record" I've been drinking everyday for 4 years. I didn't think I make it 4 days. Now I've been working out everyday to help with the withdrawls.. it is very hard at times.. but so far it's worth it!
Thank you everyone for the support!! I am 17 days in! :D I didn't think I could survive not drinking lol. It's still hard at times, but it is worth it! I already lost over 10 lbs, much easier w/o booze..People already noticed that my face skin looks better, and it's not bloated anymore! The support from family and friends has been great!! As well as the support from you guys!! Thank you, and everyone trying to quit drinking, stay strong, it's totally worth it!!
I’ve been sober for a month. It feels like I have a third eye now. The clarity in my mind is the best side effect of the quitting alcohol. I’m also losing weight. Will never drink again, even on special occasions. 😊
15 years of drinking came to a halt after I lost my job last year. I also had self destructive tendencies when I drank so I made the decision to stop drinking and things couldn’t be better !! I went from no job to now buying my first house after 6 months of being sober ! It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you stop drinking
jimjam 81 you’re a weak minded bitch. That guy is definitely strong minded to quit some bullshit alcohol. Seems like you couldn’t have fun in life with out a drink of booze. Loser

I drank since my teens by my thirties it became an everyday thing then when i hit 40-41 totally lost the desire to drink and smoke weed out of nowhere, now I go to sleep early and get up early and enjoy working out. I don't know why or how this happened but I'm loving it and I feel awesome
Bravo!!! My way to stay sober is through personal development including planning the day, every day I write down in a notebook my list of things to do, great notebooks with quotes for recovering alcoholics are on amazon, search: "hungry man notebooks". I haven't drunk for 555 days and I'm happy

Good luck to you! I hope you can stay off of it. Depending on how much, how often, and how long you have been drinking, it can take several months for the withdrawal symptoms to go away. Things such as panic attacks, heart palpitations, and general anxiety are the usual symptoms. Those will eventually go away. In the end, you will feel a whole lot better. It's best to never drink again, not even small amounts. It's a great idea to also stop caffeine completely also, if your aim is to feel as good as possible and be able to sleep properly.
Good luck!!! How’s it going so far??? I really just want and need to stop. But I don’t have a good support system so talking to someone who understands my problem helps a lot.
YES. I've been experiencing all this and more since I quit drinking 3 weeks ago. I used to just accept that every day I was going to wake up feeling like shit, dehydrated and tired throughout the next day, as if it was something I couldn't control! Now, waking up early and feeling great is like receiving a gift every day first thing in the morning. I also love knowing that I'm NEVER going to make an ass out of myself again the way I used to when I'd get drunk. There are about 100 other things I'm grateful for now that I've quit, but I'll just say that I feel like I've broken out of my own self-imposed imprisonment and I'm finally free.
Jorge Chávez Its different to other peoples like for me for instance it's like a way better rockstar/monster/red bull gives me energy & more alert & aware of my surroundings but once I over do it then that's where I crash. 😂
exactly! It's amazing I couldn't figure this out until just now, and I've been drinking for fucking years already. Getting shitfaced as a habit fucking messes up your entire brain, you are not you anymore, you're becoming a fucking zombie version of yourself
Jorge Chávez I quit drinking but realized I need to use it as a medication so I need one or two every day. preferably one every twelve hours. drinking tea helps clear your mind and body up. but I still need alcohol, I just try not to binge drink as much. having over 4 drinks In a sitting is what fucks you up but having no drinks can make you hate life too.
Aaron just wanted to thank you for helping completely change my life. I was spiraling out of control. I knew I needed to do something about it and I happened to stumble on this video. After watching it I decided to really give up drinking and update how I dress thru your videos. It's been 4 years clean and is all thanks to this video. Thank you brotha what you do makes a difference just wanted to let you know .
I've been drinking heavy since the age of 15. I can't just go out for a few beers, I had to get plastered. How I got away with it for so long is astonishing. But in Feb 2018 I got very sick because of the alcohol abuse. I was 18.07 stone when I was admitted to hospital. Two days after I was discharged I began to exercise, light weights. Today I am 14.07 and sober. I am 60 year's old and pray I can enjoy the rest of my life sober. If I can do it you can do it too.
Congrats staffy! I too was hospitalized in feb 2018 - for my birthday no less - due to decades of alcohol and the poor eating decisions made afterward. I dropped 40 lbs - intentionally - by May. Just ate correctly and had zero alcohol. It worked. Felt so amazing, bright, clear, focused, energetic - all of it. Then I had a thing and suffered a setback and I caved and drank again. I’d say I’m consuming about 1/5th to 1/4th of what I used to drink but still my clarity and energy is zapped due to drinking once or twice a week. On June 10, I’m quitting it all again. At my age, I need to focus, drive, and determination to make it to retirement and beyond. And I don’t plan on taking alcohol there with me. Thanks for sharing your experience bud.
I’m on day 43 after 30 years of drinking nightly. Not even interested in picking up a drink again but still struggling with some withdrawal anxiety. Stay strong!
I am an alcoholic and I've been battling it for the past three years I've gone from 24 beers a day for three years down to twice a week I drink six. It is so hard just to get a bottle of water when it's next to beer cooler. Any of you going through it I wish the best to you all.
Me too. I had 2 drinks and my husband got drunk at our 1 yr olds birthday party. It should've been a happy time, ruined by alcohol, just like the end of our wedding. My husband sometimes gets nasty when he's drunk, he's been verbally abusive to me and my 12 yr old son. It has to stop now, I'm disgusted by alcohol. Fed up, I flipped out on him at the party, told everyone he was drunk and flagged, then he threatened divorce because nothing makes him nastier than being called out when he's drinking. Most of the time he's the sweetest, funniest, most amazing husband. I'm NOT gonna let alcohol ruin our life. I cant control him but all I can do is stop drinking myself cuz I've been drinking too much too. Good luck and God bless you on your alcohol free journey as well.
I love to drink a beer after a hard days work. I work as a framer and come home beat up and back hurting every day the first thing im think n about is a cold beer to kill the pain. I usualy drink 4 beers if not more every day . last night i drank 7 beers even though i woke up fine Im ready for a change today will be my first day with no beer after work. I know i have to stay focused and strength en my will power. This vid is aswome motivation. All my bro and sisters out their who r ready to fight the same fight stay strong . love u all and we can do any thing we set our mind to.
Same here man, I'm a carpenter/woodworker. After long day I have average of 5 beers after. Not sure I want to ditch it completely, but want to cut back significantly. Not sure if I'm even addicted to it really... beer with family and friends when get back from work is just always what I've done. Eat healthily and exercise, so not exactly out of shape, but know cutting back would make a massive difference for sure.
Trouble with even a little drink is that its highly addictive. Most people drink to escape from stress or have a laugh so it becomes a viscous circle. It kills the mind which we need so much to make wright choices in this crazy world.
Update? I stopped drinking last year for a few months just to show myself I wasn't dependent on alcohol. Personally for me the first day and the first week were the hardest!

+Binary Reviews I think I might order that. For $37, even if I fail miserably, that's how much I spent on alcohol yesterday! It's worth a try, because I have to do something. Thanks for the information.
Im 18 and im a recovering alcoholic, i got put on my leave from my job because i was caught drunk. I wasnt fired, just told to gwt help, now sober for 7 months, and dont plan on drinking aoon.
SpawN No just not america where 21 is age limit? When i were 15 i had a 9 weekend drinking streak... After that it wasnt cool anymore. Now i drink maybe once in 2-4 months.
I used to drink every day for many years when I was younger. I was unhappy, depressed and in a very toxic relationship with a very toxic, unstable chick for 8 years. In the last year of the relationship, I quit smoking TOO. I only drank on the weekend but got a job where I couldn't do that. She betrayed me and we split up. She said it happened because I didn't party with her anymore! Lol I have been doing amazing ever since and she is still partying and losing. I never went back either! To either...
It's difficult initially but once you get traction and gain a momentum, trust me, it becomes increasingly easier to handle. You get to a time when being drunk seems so far away that relapse is not even on the cards. Stay strong my friend, it's only alcohol, you're way more powerful.
Really appreciate him creating this video. I've recently gotten sober and 'working the steps' has been the only way for me so far to do it. 45 days in; this video highlights the so many benefits and I resonated strongly with every single one!! Encouragement and support for anyone thinking they need to get sober; not all do but know like he said that I've had a destructive relationship with alcohol for years and the disease runs in my family.
I am a Native American guy and growing up in a society where most sees my people as just drinks on the street. I took a different path and chose to not drink at all. I can say that I made a good decision because I go through problems like any other person but it seems to me that being an alcoholic only adds to you're problem's. I also believe that a man should have a code and me not becoming another Indian drunk is one I'll take for as long as I can in my life.
Two days without alcohol, I just realize every time i drink i get so anxious and depressed the next two days, besides hurting people and doing stupid things, thanks for the vid so inspiring,
I originally watched this video at the beginning of the year thinking "There is no way I could be like Alpha and not drink." Now here I am, nearly 8 months sober during a pandemic. Thanks Alpha, your words of wisdom are always appreciated!
Wow... as far as I know, a lot of people drink a lot during pandemic. You did opposite. You did a great job to cut off alcohol and take care your health. Me and my husband not a drinker... maybe once or two in a month. Few weeks back I decided not to purchase any alcohol going forward. Alcohol is a drug.
thewewguy8t88 I drank because I wasn't living up to my life expectations. I went back to school and stopped hanging out witg people that drank. I really just keep myself so busy that I don't have time to drink. I work full-time and am studying to be a physical Therapist. Also staying close to loved ones is a huge help. Keep people close to you who don't let you drink and tell them to hold you accountable. It was very hard for me to stop and don't be discouraged if you fail a few times. The main tip I recommend is just to avoid thar first beer and avoid people who encourage drinking. Hit the gym and stay busy. After a while that urge to drink will die down. It will never go away but over time it is easier to say no.
oh okay for me its a mater of i want to drink i drink i do not want to drink i do not drink although if people offer me a drink i wont say so no. but that does not happen too too often and even when someone does offer me a drink too often in the span of a few days i end up saying no.
I'm kinda annoyed at myself. I hadn't drank in 5 months and gave in to a craving. I'm back not drinking again but I'm pissed off at myself for giving in. I realise it's a pointless endeavour to beat myself up though. Really looking forward to getting back to how amazing I felt when I wasn't boozing
Hey Aaron, could you please do 10 signs that your girlfriend/wife is or might cheat on you. Because this list can literally be a lifesaver for us guys.
I'm almost a month clean of alcohol. It's not been easy. I asked my wife for as much support as she could give me. She's been nice but firm. Any time I feel that temptation and ask or even think about drinking out loud, she says no and tells me to think of it as pure poison and disgust. It's starting to work. It's still hard though. I realize, that when I stop making excuses to drink, it's so much easier. I also had the realization that I can have fun without getting drunk or drinking. I've also stopped looking for excuses to drink. I used to plan my week around drinking. I put drinking before my wife but refused to admit it. I'm very grateful for her sticking with me. She's been nothing but supportive. I can't wait until I'm a year clean. I'll be very very proud of myself
I’m 35 and I have been drinking since I was 13. I was not your typical drinker. I would go on benders for a week or 2 weeks then completely stop then do it all over again. I have been completely sober for 9 months and have never felt better in my whole life. I agree with him on 100% of all the changes. Alcohol rots your body and mind.
Congratulations keep going I personally don’t drink but I did see affect on my husband almost packed my bags he is a kind men works Monday to Friday but weekends he was someone I couldn’t recognise . Rude, and emotional abused me for no reason. Since then been 6 months he stopped though was going to be happy then he had this strong moods he was like a tornado I felt like I was walking in an eggs shell I was so confused 🤷🏿♀️ up until i sat him down that we need to involve professional who then advices us . Shortly the moods swings was because of alcohol withdrawal gradually he came out of it and he goes for a run every morning we communicate more better now his confidence is back we don’t argue much . Finally I’m having peaceful weekends. Been 6 months now . Congratulations guys it hard I know but keep going
I am disabled and I have chronic pains. I smoked tobacco, did drugs and drank excessively as a crutch to ease my pains but I was a sorry ass. I blamed everyone for my troubles. Then I finally got SSI and started going to the pain clinic. As a result I stopped drugs, then alcohol and finally tobacco. Tobacco was the hardest to stop. I can tell you that life was a whole lot better for me. I'm not pain free but it's being managed. I saw the light and you saw the light. Congrats.
Burb amen to that, I mysrlf being 75% disabled with terrible back, and r arthritis since 13 also crutched my ailments with drugs and alcohol....now I know nothing stops pain...you have to work around it, and manage it...I found exersise and clean eating, living is far better than the other way....I also moved to Tampa from NY and know some people must change everything even where they live to find balance.
I can relate. I used to work in a medical marijuana dispensary as a manager. I smoked mmj (never cigarettes) for about 8 years since I was a teenager and I had been drinking for about a year on a daily basis. One day, I woke up and realized I felt like crap and didn't feel anything without mmj or a drink. That same day, I left work early, threw away all of my mmj, glass pipes, accessories, and poured my alcohol down the drain. I quit that job the next day. I couldn't stand the smell of it anymore, it's like a switch flipped. My body was speaking to me and I listened. Now, just a year later, I run 5-10 miles per day, drink only water, tea, and black coffee. I'm more fit, 10 times more successful in my career and I feel 100 times better. My wife has a drink a few times a week at home, but I'm never tempted to partake because I feel better being stone cold sober than I ever did on drugs or drinking alcohol. Having not gone a day without mmj for 8 years and finally getting through the first couple of difficult weeks of quitting, sobriety was the only high I needed. I feel more, I see more, and most importantly I appreciate everything in my life and in the world more.
Awesome. You should knock the coffee though - you'll be amazed at how much further energy you get when it's out of your system, it's a similar trap to nicotine to making you think that you are more relaxed .
according to Newsweek, and other sources - a new study shows that no level of alcohol intake is good, so congratulations. Your wife should check out the article and the study, it's in The Lancet. Alcohol causes cancer.
It’s been a year of sobriety for me. After 10 long years of drinking starting at 19 years old. 4 DUIs later. With lots of police encounters later. Finally got my health up, working in my self, got slimmer, bought a car, going back to school. I love it. I hope you guy can continue your life alcohol free.
21 days sober ! Cut way back on meat intake at the same time. I have been running and working out regularly but the gains I have seen in the past 3 weeks are amazing. Knocked 3 minutes off my personal best 10k time and increased my workout weights. Recovery is quicker and energy is much improved. Good luck to anyone trying to quit, It took me 40 years to get here.
I really like how you say that being sober feels like you’re on drugs lol, because it does!! It’s such a great natural high to be not hungover or buzzed from the night before. I’ve tried to stop many times before but watching these videos help keep me sober and remind me how to have fun without drinking. Thanks for the video and sharing your story!
I feel you bro, I drink on my day offs and don't feel like doing anything, and feel like I'm wasting my money and life. I'm going to quit drinking, but im kind of addicted to drinking on my day off.
Philip Rey this shits true as fuck if I go a month without drinking I’m productive as shit but one heavy drinking sesh ruins it I loose my motivation and drive
the next couple of weeks are going to suck, but thats a tiny fucking hurdle compared to the grave you were digging. Stay focused, and try to keep yourself occupied to keep your mind off the urges, and within a couple weeks you'll start feeling good about yourself for the first time in a long time and will finally have your life back
1. Stopped doing Stupid things. 2. I felt better and Incredible. 3. My mind was clear incredible sense of well-being & clarity. I started perceiving things differently. 4. I was More Creative. . 5. Productivity skyrocketed. More inspired and more passion 6. Started making more money. Drinking is expensive. Also, not spending as much on alcohol or nicotine products. 7. I started looking better. Skin was clear, bright and hydrated. 8. Staying in shape was so much easier. Amazing what changed in my body. Removed the crappy foods while drinking. 9. I was proud of myself, and stopped hating myself the next morning by doing dumb things, sleeping with the wrong people, stopped doing the dumb stuff, etc. Developed higher self-esteem, bc I was making better decisions. 10. The cloud lifted and disappeared in my life. Every aspect ab out my life is 1,000% better, disappeared; my life has astronomically Improved, I am on focus and get more done in a day.
Alcohol breaks down muscle fast. Anyone serious into body building already knows this. Thanks for the video and thanks for the positive message. I needed to hear this. I am surrounded by people who drink daily and I am saddened by it. Most drunks, not all, make for poor friends, and family members. God Bless

Ive been sober a month and things have changes soooo much . im glad i juat ran into this video cuz everything he said is true !! BIG MUCHAS GRACIAS ALPHA
Man ! It's been a year since I last drank alchool, and I can tell you are right on every aspect ! I also had autodestructive behaviour while I was drunk. Lost my gf, lost friends and almost died because of alchool consumption. Everything was not right. Now all my life fit into place, and you're right... I just feel overall very proud of myself and more happy ! Thank's for the great vid
Today I celebrate 22 days sobriety. Yesterday marked the end of the "21 day challenge" I took, but I chose not to have a celebratory beer or glass of wine. I'm making it a 30 day challenge now. Hope to keep going as far as possible. I lost TEN pounds by cutting alcohol out. That's all I changed and it made THAT much of an impact. If you're here watching this video for inspiration, and read this comment, hopefully this is some added motivation for you: your body will love you for it!
Im on day 4 sober today. Enough was enough. Sitting in my home every night getting blackout drunk alone. It was not fun anymore. Just something I did everyday.
@@Gnathorn I am not sober. Relapsed very hard bc of this past year and all the ........ happenings. Worst thing i ever did. But YOU need to make it to day 5, 6, 7, 8, .............. 10000. Get there, i'll be right beyond you soon my friend.
@@donaldmack2307 Sorry to hear about your relapse. But I've heard relapse is part of the process? I'm on my 5th day sober now. It's really weird that I haven't had ANY carvings for alcohol. Maybe for the taste of beer, but even now I don't feel like I'd like to be drunk :)
@@Gnathorn The same thing with me! First time quitting was pretty hard, i counted days, thinking about it, i was very upset what if i start again... Second time was hard but not like the first time. Third time it was pretty much thing of decision, not a need, and then i started to drink if i want to drink and don't drink if i am not interested, and then i started to like a feeling being sober more then to be drunk, and if i drink, a would take two or three drinks, because i don't wanted to feel bad next morning... I think i am not dependent of it anymore, i don't think about it... And thats the way i live with it, and i like it. I am again a normal person who, if wants, can drink one beer or so, and i like that state very much. It's better then be obsessed with decision not to drink till the end of life...
Glad to hear you quitting alcohol and chewing tobacco.. The best thing you could have done for yourself and most probably contributed to you ability and perseverance to create "Alpha M." as a TH-cam channel, as well as your other businesses... I smoked for 9 years, and smoked marijuana for more than 20.. When the cigarettes took its toll physically, psychologically, and financially, I used marijuana to quit tobacco cold turkey.. AND IT WORKED.. And when the same happened in regards to marijuana, I quit cold turkey as well.. Although it took a few tries with the marijuana.. The best thing I could have done for myself.. Because of that, I'm able to cycle 5-6 days a week in the warmer months, each ride about 38 km's, and cutting 50 pounds so far.. That is still a work in progress though that is continuing this spring to cut another 20-25 pounds.. There is NO WAY I could have done it while smoking cigarettes and marijuana.. The tar was just too much, restricting the oxygen flow, which is how you lose weight.. One step at a time, Aaron, and I'm glad to say you are one of the people helping me personally on my journey.. I'm sure countless others too..
TubeDeviant aye bro, can I ask if you dieted and if you did how did you do it ? I'm asking because I'm currently in an attempt to break my alcoholism habit, along with that I want to cut about 40 pounds
+Ray Lopez Hey man. Glad to hear you trying to break those bad habits.. Before I give some tips, I have to say, you have to WANT to do it.. No one can make you do it.. So you have to dig deep inside yourself, make a plan, and constantly remind yourself why you want to makes those changes in your life when times get tough.. In regards to cutting, it may seem overwhelming at first, but you have to take everything into account.. You need to start tracking the calories you eat, try to cut out liquid calories, including alcohol, eat more fruits and vegetables, start exercising (find something you actually enjoy, otherwise it won't become a habit..), make sure you're not eating too much sugar and sodium, make sure you're getting a good amount of sleep and a good quality of sleep as well.. Exercising helped turn my stress, anxiety, and depression around 180 degrees NATURALLY, so exercise is very important.. Stress drives up cortisol in your body, which promotes fat storage, that's why it's important.. Another thing is weight lifting.. Although I have to say, I haven't started lifting yet.. Building muscle will raise your resting metabolic rate.. Just take things slowly, making changes that you can handle.. If you can cut out all the alcohol, I'm pretty sure you will lose weight, without doing anything else.. But if you cut out the alcohol, eat more healthy, and exercise, you will see drastic changes and see good progress in time.. Be PATIENT.. Give yourself room to have cheat meals.. And be CONSISTENT.. It may take a year, it may take longer, depending on what you do.. Do what you can without overwhelming yourself so it doesn't feel difficult.. My journey has taken longer than I would have liked, but my diet isn't the cleanest and I don't lift weights yet..
TubeDeviant thanks man, that means a lot I was actually an all state powerlifting athlete in high school but things went everywhere after a few things happened in my life thanks again for the kind words I'll be sure to keep pushing, have a good one man 🤘🏻
The best method that worked for me was changing my social circle. I picked up speed reading books and before I realize, I preferred people who discuss wide range of topics instead of just sports, beers and hot colleagues
Conor M yes and can often quote them verbatim. That isn’t to say I shouldn’t drink less, but that it’s not always as easy as replacing it with other activities.
@@turtleinashirt My recall-memory was always pretty crap and sometimes I worried that I was developing alzheimers or some shit. When I don't drink for a few weeks my mental clarity is through the roof. I still have to read a book at least 3 times to remember the jist of it, though.
Been two weeks sober and went on a hike today. Someone asked if I was on shrooms and I replied, “I’m just getting sober and feeling in touch with my humanity again.”
I find your videos incredibly real and inspirational. I've found myself in horrific situations owing to alcohol and my own bad decisions. Unlike other TH-camrs, you touch the root of things, get down to the grain and it makes you so much more relatable. Thank you 🙂

I quit drinking for 6 months and then started drinking again this month. My wife has constantly motivated me to stop drinking. I realized that I made a mistake starting back up and as of today I m going to work on never having a drop again. Alcoholism plagued my parents and I don't want to pass this on to our son. Thank you so much for the advice on your video and I agree that not drinking is worlds better. I'm looking forward to starting all over.
Update? I think ima quit too. Just turned 30. Don't consider myself an alcoholic or anything. My problem is that when I drink I get drunk 🥴... theres no just drink a couple and stop for me. I drink until I'm drunk af... and now being 30 I feel like I'm too old to be doing shit like that
I'm on day 2 with no alcohol but I felt I needed to hear positive results from others that experienced the downside and now the good side. Wish me luck 🤞
When i quit drinking alcohol i was not having pain on my knees and lower back pain,no hangover,no constipation, no heart burn ,and i do workout everyday, no heart burning medication, i sleep like a baby and i do not waste money on alcohol.and i have lost 22 pounds of body weight .
I was a social drinker for many years. One day it just crossed my mind that alcohol actually has no health benefits. I quit immediately. It has been 5 years.
This is one of the traps many of us fall into, I actually thought for many years that I was being more productive while drinking. We all know what happens next. More than 10 surprising things I would say tthere are 100. If you're still struggling, you should read up un Steffon Barkload's stuff, he just puts a lot of options out there, makes sense since we're all different right?
I caught this video a little over 4 years ago. I had just decided to quite drinking. The google algorithm knew what I needed to see, this video gave me some motivation. I’d never heard of Alpha M and I’ve been a subscriber ever since. First 30 days were hard, next 30 was slightly easier, after than it became a “how long will I go” welp, still going strong four years later and life couldn’t be better. Thanks Alpha.

Your very much like me, everything you described i do...

@@himawari4166 how are you now?
@@funnybone4086 I'm doing extremely well, quit the booze on Day 34 today! thanks ;)

Good luck to you! I hope you can stay off of it. Depending on how much, how often, and how long you have been drinking, it can take several months for
the withdrawal symptoms to go away.
Good luck, you can do this xxx
Good luck!!! How’s it going so far??? I really just want and need to stop. But I don’t have a good support system so talking to someone who understands my problem helps a lot.
How's it going? Quitting drinking was the best decision I made 21 years ago! Sober life is so much better....
Punjab Express .am following ure footsteps now, THANX. 😶

Alcohol creates a different mindset in people, messes up priorities and blurs focus.
Yeah I mean its not the worst thing ever but if you wanna be focused and feel fresh, drinking isn't gonna help

Best of luck bud! You can so it!! 👍

I had a really traumatic experience drinking the other day. It's made me wanna change my life around, and stay sober. We can do it guys!

I am a Native American guy and growing up in a society where most sees my people as just drinks on the street. I took a different path and chose to not drink at all. I can say that I made a good decision because I go through problems like any other person but it seems to me that being an alcoholic only adds to you're problem's. I also believe that a man should have a code and me not becoming another Indian drunk is one I'll take for as long as I can in my life.

quit drinking 2 years ago. one of the best decisions of my life.
can i ask you what your motivation was to quit drinking.
thewewguy8t88 I drank because I wasn't living up to my life expectations.

Almost made me cry man!
this is truly inspiring brother...
Thanks for sharing bud
according to Newsweek, and other sources - a new study shows that no level of alcohol intake is good, so congratulations. Your wife should check out the article and the study, it's in The Lancet. Alcohol causes cancer.
7 years sober for me.... I can so relate to everything you said in this video.
Good on you for making this and being so real and honest. Thank you
Im 35, its my Day 1 being sober... I want to stay sober so bad 😩 🤞 I've quit alot of times before but sticking to it now.
How are you doing hermano?
It’s been a year of sobriety for me. After 10 long years of drinking starting at 19 years old. 4 DUIs later. With lots of police encounters later. Finally got my health up, working in my self, got slimmer, bought a car, going back to school. I love it. I hope you guy can continue your life alcohol free.
Augie Cardenas 2020 lets get it
Good on you
18 years sober not a drop yet going strong
Even that is impressive. At 16 i was getting wasted at house parties
Way to go!!!
This settlement is alcohol free.
That's awsome bro I hope I can achieve that someday
And how many settlements have benefited
Facts
Quit smoking had to quit drinking feel great and like a new life.
Stop drinking
Thats what he just said, are you drunk?
I stopped drinking for 2 1/2 months and I was productive as hell. The moment I drank again, I lost weeks of productivity.
I feel you bro, I drink on my day offs and don't feel like doing anything, and feel like I'm wasting my money and life. I'm going to quit drinking, but im kind of addicted to drinking on my day off.

Philip Rey this shits true as fuck if I go a month without drinking I’m productive as shit but one heavy drinking sesh ruins it I loose my motivation and drive
cant wait to be a month sober im only a few days in.
the next couple of weeks are going to suck, but thats a tiny fucking hurdle compared to the grave you were digging. Stay focused, and try to keep yourself occupied to keep your mind off the urges, and within a couple weeks you'll start feeling good about yourself for the first time in a long time and will finally have your life back
Dave Smith thanks brotha
It is an emotional Rollercoaster ride. Just hold on. You can do it. I've got 2 years and 9 months in. So far it is worth it..
good luck, man.
Mephilis thanks that helps bro.
1. Stopped doing Stupid things.
2. I felt better and Incredible.
3. My mind was clear incredible sense of well-being & clarity. I started perceiving things differently.
4. I was More Creative. .
5. Productivity skyrocketed. More inspired and more passion
Developed higher self-esteem, bc I
was making better decisions.
10. The cloud lifted and disappeared in my life. Every aspect ab out my life is 1,000% better, disappeared; my life has astronomically Improved, I am on focus and get more done in a day.
How soon or when was it you started to notice these things individually ? Just curious. Im 11 days in.
Alcohol breaks down muscle fast. Anyone serious into body building already knows this. Thanks for the video and thanks for the positive message. I needed to hear this. I am surrounded by people who drink daily and I am saddened by it. Most drunks, not all, make for poor friends, and family members. God Bless
and helps you on way to cancer! full of sugar aswell yeah its horrible stuff and it legal haha keep you dull and low mate make it a social thing and feed the guinea pigs next stop in the doctors pumped with chems haha it goes something like that with the whole consumer system
Thank's for the great vid
bro were totally the same
I feel you man !
I feel you
I almost died from alcohol last year, passed out for 18 hours, i feel you man
Today I celebrate 22 days sobriety.
Greetings. Have you still been sober? I'm myself on my current 4th day sober atm..
Congratulations Donald on deciding to change for the better. Keep striving to be productive and sober.
TubeDeviant good luck brother. Love from Nepal
TubeDeviant aye bro, can I ask if you dieted and if you did how did you do it ? I'm asking because I'm currently in an attempt to break my alcoholism habit, along with that I want to cut about 40 pounds
Thank you..!!
I speed read books halfway through a bottle of scotch.
Now what?
@@turtleinashirt Do you remember them, though?
Conor M yes and can often quote them verbatim. That isn’t to say I shouldn’t drink less, but that it’s not always as easy as replacing it with other activities.
@@turtleinashirt My recall-memory was always pretty crap and sometimes I worried that I was developing alzheimers or some shit. When I don't drink for a few weeks my mental clarity is through the roof.
I still have to read a book at least 3 times to remember the jist of it, though.
Conor M then I look forward to being able to memorize the Bible this year :P
Been two weeks sober and went on a hike today. Someone asked if I was on shrooms and I replied, “I’m just getting sober and feeling in touch with my humanity again.”
Brilliant!
Thats awesome!!

Matthew Mauldon how are you getting on? Hope you've managed to quit again
All the best
did you mean your wife nagged?

Today I’m giving up alcohol. Going to my first meeting and cleaning up my life. Thank you Alpha M. My favorite TH-camr
Update? I think ima quit too. Just turned 30. Don't consider myself an alcoholic or anything. My problem is that when I drink I get drunk 🥴... theres no just drink a couple and stop for me. I drink until I'm drunk af... and now being 30 I feel like I'm too old to be doing shit like that
Update?
The book How to control alcohol by Alan Carr saved me
Congratulations Khalil on changing for the better
I'm on day 2 with no alcohol but I felt I needed to hear positive results from others that experienced the downside and now the good side. Wish me luck 🤞
I hope you’re still doing well! I’m three days in
Yeah it's been 2 months now. Everything been on track since I stopped. Peace, purpose and progress are the P's I'm pushing.
When i quit drinking alcohol i was not having pain on my knees and lower back pain,no hangover,no constipation, no heart burn ,and i do workout everyday, no heart burning medication, i sleep like a baby and i do not waste money on alcohol.and i have lost 22 pounds of body weight .
Insight Curiosity. Yeah well you're fucking Canadian you're like a whole different level of species
Sam Sings What's wrong with being Canadian??
This was an EYE OPENER for my Boyfriend. Thank You. THANK YOU!!!!!!
I was a social drinker for many years. One day it just crossed my mind that alcohol actually has no health benefits. I quit immediately. It has been 5 years.
It's literally poison. You have a organ that removes the toxins it puts in your body.
Scotland’s bad for it, started at 13 n still going at 16 tbh
This is one of the traps many of us fall into, I actually thought for many years that I was being more productive while drinking. We all know what happens next. More than 10 surprising things I would say tthere are 100. If you're still struggling, you should read up un Steffon Barkload's stuff, he just puts a lot of options out there, makes sense since we're all different right?
It does have health benefits if you lightly drink. But i salute you.
Why tho? It's fun drinking your health isn't that important unless it's serious
