I used to drink Scottish Leader, till I was given a bottle of Grant's as a gift & I have never gone back, a great whisky at a great price. I enjoy a shot of Grant's with a shot of espresso coffee
@@Bespokeunit No, a shot of Grant's in a cup & add the fresh espresso coffee. The heat from the coffee will evaporate some of the alcohol, but you will be left with a rich, warming drink. I found that the bitterness of the coffee complements the sweet, fruitiness of Grant's.
Hard to beat for £15 and I enjoyed it more than whiskies I've had for a wee bit more. Friend brought a bottle camping and I was left wondering why he apologised for only bringing Grants!
This is my go-to value whisky, a staple at my house, has been for years. TJ's sells it for $14.99. And that's for the 1L bottle, not the 750cl. So yeah, it really is a great value. But I certainly wouldn't pay $27.00 for it. At that price point there are better whiskys. But nothing beats it at this price point.
That's a great price for a great scotch! The price we mentioned here is based on online listings so it's not surprising that you can find it cheaper in person. Indeed, the $25+ price range has a ton of options though I think this Grant's holds its own in the category nonetheless. Regards, Rafael
this is the first time i hear about all these mid bottom shelf brands as being ncf?? you say that about grants and famous grouse !! i think you guys are the only ones who think so are you gonna say red label and j&b are also ncf?
used to love grants familly reserve or the sherry finish but no not since they messed it up with this rebranding and no i disagree it is not the same whisky at all ,the old one had nice flavours of a funky fruit cake with dried red fruit like figs, plums, dates etc buiscut crusty yeasty like creaminess and smoky oak finish reminds me of ballantines finest which was the same but more robust ,you describing it well but i would say its the old version you are talking about not this one which is harsh dry alcohol ,why cant they leave well enough alone? lost me as a customer with this nonsense, prefered the bottle look and taste of the old ones
Very vintage, even looks like an old rotary telephone on the fireplace mantel. Considering his channel consists of the likes of cigars, liquor and shoes, it suits rather well. No need to be so negative, I like it and he's living his best life which is what matters :) We all have different preferences and interests, seems that my love of vintage aligns with his but yours doesn't: nothing wrong with that at all. :)

I'll have to try to Grant's with espresso as I'm a fan of both. You mix in anything else?

Lord how I miss Scottish Leader. My all time favorite. After purchasing my third bottle, have never seen it ever again in the USA
Lol my favourite is Scottish leader but I don’t find any in shop today so bought an grant’s and hence checking out reviews before sipping it
Excellent whisky, indeed, and for all kind of people. Simple, cheap and tasty.
Couldn't agree more!

Grants is just great value. I did not expect to find a whiskey for 15 euro that I could sip neat and enjoy, but this stuff is actually very nice!
Agreed, Grant's punches way above it's weight considering the price.

One bottle for 10 euro in Taiwan. Great performance and value.

Absolutely agree. I don't think there's a better option in this price range.

Great review Sir! Thank you! 👍
Thanks!
Rafael
Great review 👌 Grant's also works really well in cocktails too 😉
What's your favorite cocktail to make with Grant's?
@@Bespokeunit love me a Grant's and Cola simple and refreshing. Also have an unhealthy obsession with whisky sours 😉
what is the diffrence between virgin oak and american oak? i know ex burbon is american oak that was used for burbon one time
Virgin oak could be from anywhere and is virgin. American oak is only from America and could be used
yes thank you @@goldenphoenix4475

No worries, liked how the review was structured . 👍 Have you tried Ballantines 12 yr ?
It’s not like a mature whisky. It’s too watery. Good for the price, but if you can find other labels like cask edition,.. go for them.
Thanks for your feedback!
It's easy on the wallet but sucks on the palate, atleast for me
For the money, we've found this to be some of the best you can buy. But it's also not going to compare with a higher end whisky.
It's the worst whiskey have ever tried...
It's poo
Have to disagree here, there are definitely worse whiskies!

let me paint your room, hard to taste good whisky when in such an ugly room.
