    I built a kit of Overnight Sensations speakers for my brother for his birthday. This was the amp I chose for my parents to buy him. Its a great value amplifier+DAC. I A/B tested it with both his and my speakers (both overnight sensations) to see if the speakers sound the same. They do. I compared the t9pro to my Aiyima a07 amplifier and SMSL-SU 6 DAC with the source being the WiiM pro streamer using my speakers since the placement and sound I can get are known to me. The differences are there but small. The biggest difference I noticed was that my stand alone DAC improved how wide the soundstage and depth of music is, its just slightly better. In terms of the amplifier, a07 gives slightly better (I believe it was just a bit more precise) bass. But all this I really had to critically look for and if you dont know you wont miss it. The t9pro is the same price as my DAC alone.. great value for money. My brother is as happy as he could be. Its an excellent device in my opinion and perfect for his setup. He's loving his first HiFi as much as I am so it does what its supposed to do.
    P.s. Rusty is very cute, reminds me of my old cat, I swear ginger cats are just more cuddly than others!

    The aux out of the T9 is run by the volume control so it works very well with a powered sub. It makes it a real champ at being a desktop integrated amp when paired with some nearfield studio monitors and a powered sub. I would have liked to see you crack it open and talk about its parts and maybe try some other tubes. Your run down on that type of thing is so thoughtful and inciteful I feel like I'm missing out.

    • @admiralnorman
      @admiralnorman 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@francohic Negative. I find it's DAC to be unremarkable and using an external DAC to be an upgrade. But the built-in DAC certainly is good enough for the price and i wouldn't spend more to add one.

    +1 for hooking up to decent speakers!
    So many reviews treat these miniature amplifiers as though they are toys that can't get a good groove going with more sensible or larger speakers... and, of course that's not true. The mistake is to see this as a "desktop" setup, and it does not have to be.
    I build "sound bar killers" for friends. These are essentially a mini-amp, hookup for the TV and a pair of mid-price speakers, usually towers, to stand on either side of the TV. Aiyima and Pioneer are favourites and the sound quality will rival systems costing multiples more.
    My own current system is an A07, modified Pioneer FS52 Towers, a home theatre PC and a 4tb external drive. When set up and running the whole thing (not including speakers) is 6 inches wide and about 5 1/2 inches tall ... and produces almost 200 watts of very clean audio!
    Small amp does not mean small speakers!

    Hahaa, i've the same speakers; IMF ALS-40. But a friend of my uses them now. He has more space. I use Triangle Borea 3 and love those bookshelfs much..
    Ohh, by the way; i use the Aiyima D03, connected with Bluesound Node 2ii, nice!! Spotify and Tidal.
    I won’t believe the sound of the small Chinese amps. before. But(okay, i have a small appartment in Amsterdam;3m by 4m, but high ceiling) it sounds very good, although for my ears.
    I’m not an audiofile, just like music.
    Before the Aiyima D03, i used a total restored vintage Sansui AU-317. Great amp(class a/b)great sound but much heavier and bigger than the Aiyima.
    For my ears; it sounds as good as the Sansui..
    Although it’s a class D amp.
    And the dac’s inside the Bluesound/Aiyima sounds a lot more “analog” then 10/20 years ago..👌👍

    Just a comment about this device and one tip for buyers. I think this thing sounds absolutely incredible for it's size and price. I bought this for my room mainly for its size and loved the look. It's more than filled the bill. My advice... when i first used it, i was unimpressed until i turned off all equalization on my sources. The sound right from the amp is amazing and in my case, any equalization actually ruined it. I use it with klipsch r41ms and a sony powered sub and i think it sounds absolutely awesome at a very low end price for everything

    Hello Gabi,
    Thank you for your review. I believe it can significantly benefit those who are embarking on their journey into the world of audio and are aiming for excellent sound quality within a reasonable budget. I own the Aiyma T9 as well as the T9 Pro, and I've compared these with other amplifiers. This is purely my subjective opinion, but I think Aiyma outperforms many competitors, including some that are ten times more expensive.
    However, I'm slightly disappointed that your reviews are becoming increasingly commercialized - at least from my perspective. Instead of revisiting Aiyma reviews, which are widely available to most budget audio enthusiasts, I was hoping for a comprehensive comparison of Aiyma's audio quality with your DIY setup.
    I don't have an audio setup as expensive as yours, but I've built a DIY DAC/Streamer using IAN components (Q7) and Ivan transformers. I'd be interested to know your opinion if you compared this directly with your setup, or at least mentioned that such a comparison wouldn't be necessary due to the vast difference in quality.
    Another aspect I find intriguing is whether the sound quality would improve by adding the IAN CANADA ES9028Q2M DAC and the Opa 861 (which I assume you already own) to the setup you presented, and connecting these to the Aiyma via RCA so that only the Aiyma Amp is used. While this would increase the total setup cost by approximately 200 USD, it's a point of interest that I believe your previous videos have led me to expect.
    As a devoted follower, I've noticed a shift from the promotion of IAN products (which I believe are top-notch) to the rapid advertisement of inexpensive amplifiers and videos edited heavily during production. I was looking forward to something more original and unique, and this wasn't quite it.
    Please understand that my intention is not to upset or offend you with this comment. I merely wanted to share my honest opinion.
    Best regards,
    Michael

    • @Gabster1
      @Gabster1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you Michael I appreciate your honest comments and you are not offending me but rather opening my eyes to see my channel from your perspective.
      I am sure adding by adding the IAN CANADA ES9028Q2M DAC and the Opa 861will make the T9pro sound better but then I think I would use the Ao7 if not using the dac features of the t9pro also would need to be careful to keep the cost and size down after all that is the main reason in using a low cost Amp.
      With the added boards they need more power supplies that add a lot of cost and size, but you have a good idea and I am sure it will sound great.
      For the survival of the Chanel I have to balance some commercial content that helps finance various components that I purchase but will try to keep a good balance.
      Thanks again Michael and enjoy the audio Journey.

    Hi, Gabi ! I'm a complete beginner in the hobby. I got a Aiyima t9 pro and a Fosi bt20a. Both with 24V Power supply and I can't manage to get a 32v ps in my country (I've just sadly found it out). I'm looking for affordable speakers for my budget now and I'd like to know if is it okay to get a pair of JBL stage a130 to work with them. Do you think I can drive those speakers with them? It's a 18m² room and I don't intend (and I can't, it's an apartment) to listen to music very loud.
    PS: loved your audiophile rusty buddy. Got a like instantly

    • @Gabster1
      @Gabster1  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You should be fine with the 24V you should get a real 60w rms the 32 V gets you about 84 so not a big deal considering most of your playing will not pass the 10 watts
      For speakers I would buy used for the price of those tiny JBL you can get great bigger speakers
      or if you insist on buying new a Klipsch like the
      amzn.to/3Tir003 or bigger they are more sensitive but used is the way to go but do audition them. Could bring your Aiyima.

    • @RuiNovaes
      @RuiNovaes 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you @@Gabster1 . I'm relieved to know I'm fine with 24V for while. Unfortunetely, the second-hand market here is very complicated. People asking too much money for some vintage poor conditions speakers because a culture of relic has been created. And when it comes to modern speakers, they usually ask same price (sometimes more) of brand new speakers with warranty and installment payment. And as a beginner, I'm afraid of not getting a good deal with second-hand ones because I don't know how to evaluate the speakers' health.
      The options I could find in our domestic market that fit in my budget (around $340 max) are the JBL A130 and Klipsch r-15 M 340W.
      But if you have some extra tips of what kind of specs I should look (sensibility, power, frequency responce, impedance, etc) I could look for more options available here.
