Sarmishtha Persad Hello, I had a question.. I am pairing some crested geckos & wanted to knw how long after putting a male & female together do they lay eggs?
Hi guys, so glad I came across your channel. I’ve now had 3 lots of 2 eggs fail because of bad advice received from other people. Your videos have been extremely helpful and have really restored my faith in my ability to breed my crested, gargoyle and leopard geckos 🦎 Thank you so very much. You guys are wicked. Here’s to the start of my success in breeding my beautiful little geckos 🦎
This was super helpful! I’m planning on breeding my geckos for a second year. I didn’t get any fertile eggs last year so I was very disappointed, but I’m hoping for better results this year. Thanks for the video!
I’m picking up a breeding pair of cresties pretty soon, along with a Male to breed my female leopard geckos too. I’m super excited for it. Thanks for this video!
My babies laid a clutch today, I could tell she was pregnant but i didn’t realize it’d be this soon. In a rush to figure out the incubator and stuff but I don’t want to rush the process good luck to all others!
Hello, it would appear that when you keep more than one female in a tub with a male where mating has occurred, there is no way for you to know which female layed what egg....and when you place a couple of dozen eggs in a "hatching tub" where they incubate, not only are they hard to keep track of in regard to sire/dam (and I would be interested in knowing how you do that if you do)...but if more than one hatch at a time how will you know which egg they came out of ? Should it be assumed that you are not keeping track of lineage ? Another question I have....if multiple breeding females are housed in a bioactive tank with a breeding male....can you take the females out after copulation and house them in tanks by themselves keeping clear track of the hatchling's lineage, or will that be too stressful placing them in a new environment by themselves ? Thanks for all the great vids and taking the time to post 'em….see ya at Tinley in a few weeks!
I hope you still read the reactions on your video’s. We have a few eggs from our leopard gecko’s and we finally have a fertile pair of eggs from our leopard gecko but as soon as we put the eggs in vermucil substrate in the incubator, the eggs are starting to fall in.. but when we leave them in the geckos enclosure they are perfect. Why are they falling in? 😢 the temperature is right, the amount of water is right. Can you help us with this?
how do you get the super hatch moist again after it gets a bit dehydrated? just lift out all the eggs and put water in it and put it back and replace the eggs?? or do you just spray it with all the eggs on top? or lift out the egg and spray water only on the super hatch??
I had 25 leopard gecko eggs and i'm incubating them at 85 degrees for the mixture of genders . 4 have hatched at their 60 day mark, but some have past their 60 and still haven't hatched what cause them to take longer to than other to hatch.
Thank you for the info and for your diligence in the Tegu Ban fight. I wrote all our senators since I’m a Florida resident as well. Are you guys going to be at Orlando Repticon this coming weekend?
Do you need to keep hatchlings at higher than room temp when first hatched? My house does get down to 68 at night and that would be my only worry. If so, how long until they can be at room temp.
Don’t mind me, doing some research before even getting breeders 23/05/21 I’ll come back if I ever get brave enough to do it and I’ll update maybe that would be fun
Hey David, I need help with getting a temperature regulated incubator. My new place sucks with keeping temperatures where I need them. Do you have any ideas on making one or recommend a commercial incubator?
What is the best way if you do this alone to handle going on vacation? If you went a way for a week, what would be the minimum you need to do to care for all the geckos? We have a single gecko now and have left with a friend for misting and feeding but I don’t know how you would handle on a larger scale. I’m trying to figure out if breeding for me is a good idea or not. Thx!
We actually have been incubating those the same way but without any holes in the container. Maybe a little warmer (78F) But honestly we haven't had the best success rate with those yet. Still figuring it out but main thing is to collect eggs as soon as they are laid.
I’ve been breeding bearded dragons and different types of birds as well as money different rodent type animals and decided to finally get into my Leo’s and cresties. Gotta find a female for my male tegu as well. 😅
What do fertile eggs look like .... greenish or yellow. Is infertile right??? Also i have a 18x 18x 24 can i have 2 females and 1 male I found 2 eggs this morning they are kinda hard kinda see a slight red circle??? Not sure
fertile eggs are white or an off white color. infertile eggs can also be white or off-white but usually are softer/thinner or harder! lol hard to explain.. If the eggs have been developing for a while, you won't see the red circle anymore. I would just say to incubate them
Hey Dave I got a quick question do you have to lay the eggs in the actual substrate or can you use those black egg racks that you set them on that kind of hover over the substrate
So when I greet the gecko are they gonna fight? Because I have a baby gecko and I bought a new one that’s a girl so if I let them grow up together will they breed since they know each other?
Ava Horvath If I was you I wouldn’t house a female with a male. I know that most care sheets say it’s ok and while you can do it, it’s not that healthy for the female since the male would constantly breed as much as it can.🙂
I found a gecko egg under a blanket yesterday, I had no idea what it was... 😄 I am now thinking - can I leave it there or should I built a shelter? I live in india where everyone has a few geckos in each room 😅
I’m sure that If you have wild geckos in the area than your room temp (if not altered by a fan) should be fine yet if you wanna hatch it I’d try protecting it from other creatures.
GothBoi Prince even if it may not be fertile still incubate it for the crested gecko actually has a special ability where very rarely it can self fertilise eggs if it has mated earlier in its life.
@@Jacob-ru2oj nope their deff fertile , now at 2 3 weeks old , the red donut inside is getting bigger and bigger:O , can I have two babies in 1 nano eco terra ?
GothBoi Prince well even though some people say you can you really shouldn’t house two geckos together for they need their own space and for the first 4 months you can probs leave them each in a rubber ware box at least 15cm wide 15cm long and 10cm high since you don’t want them to fall and hurt themselves. 🙂
They are white and hard they look ok been incubating for 3 or 4 days .... The one crested gecko i have looks like a male but hard to tell... It has more of a bulge than female.. But never seen a male in person to compare.... Im a snake guy but like crested geckos just not sure . i put in incubator anyway because i have to get it ready anyway plus my house has temperature swings ..guess ill find out if they go bad right. Thanks for getting back to me
This was my first year breeding crested Geckos and y’all wher supper helpful 😊 🙏🏾
I'm breeding this year and good luck with future breeding

I hope you dont keep them in tubs all year round
I feel horrible, I have lost 4 eggs, not knowing how to properly. This is by far the best explanation, our eggs when really soft.
I hope you still read the reactions on your video’s.

My Alexa, set a timer for five minutes😂😅
I wonder can you mix breed crested gecko with a Gargoyle gecko
Can you use Coconut Fiber or Eco Earth to incubate the eggs?
Bro you made my alexa set a timer 😭
What do you guys use to incubate? An actual incubator a heat lamp? First time upcoming breeder (: thanks
Cresties incubate at room temperature so long as those temps stay what they stated in the video
@@sweetReaper thank you!
I have a fat tailed gecko and she’s a climber and I love her just got her and I’m saving up my money for a crestie can’t wait till I get one
How do you know they're going to lay the eggs in the egg box
Is it true to never turn the egg over? Like place it into incubation face side up the exact way you found it ?
Yes that's a rule of thumb
TikisGeckos awesome thanks for the response
That gecko looks awsome as usual here!!! 0o0
What do you use for the box? What kind of box is that?
I have it on with the fake grass but it’s moisturize is that ok?
I'm a sucker for a baby gecko!
Sweet video guys
My female just finally laid her eggs!! Now of to incubating them!!!
My leper geckos just laid an egg I did what you did but there is a tiny tiny hole do I throw it away
When should you stop candling your eggs? I’m afraid of hurting the babies, but concerned about one of them.
Where’s the lime for the coconut?
Is that safe to keep the male and female together?
My eggs have a lot of tiger stripe looking things ? Just wondering what that means?
My gecko leopard eggs I have 3 they turning yellow is that bad?do they need heater pad?
How often do you rehydrate the substrate and what method do you use?
Thanks for sharing this guys
I have two eggs and I am so exited for them to hatch
Question: how do the animals get airflow? And are these their permanent enclosures? Thanks for the awesome vid!
What temperature do I need to incubate them at
I have a question, does temperature determinant sex of the gecko?
So my crested gecko eggs have slight very small dents do they still have a chance of hatching?
Hi I have some eggs and the medium feels cold even though they are incubated at 85 degrees there is also very little condensation
Can you link where you buy your items to incubate your eggs. I would like to try out this method
Is there a difference for lilly whites for breeding.male LW ore Female LW.i want to pair LW female with red male.

Do you mist the enclosure where the eggs are or just the repashy hatch will do?
you shouldn't have to mist them. You don't want to directly get the eggs wet.

Usually what sex of gecko is more valuable? For breeding wise.
It tends to be females. They can be kept together and you can use 1 male and multiple females breeding wise.
