Two most profound things the Driver series showed me are that buying a videogame's digital version doesn't mean you get to keep it (so find a way to keep your own copy, even if that means resorting to methods outside what the companies allow) and that driving vehicles in a spirited manner is fucking awesome! xD hahaha
@GTRFREAK17 Luckily Driver was never pulled from peoples personal libraries (as far as Im aware) and you can still sometimes find steam keys on the internet, like that one guy did with a subway gift card. The Crew seals that fate more though, considering anyone that bought it through Uplay or Uconnect or whatever the f*ck it is now got their licenses revoked for The Crew.
Driver San Francisco was my favourite game growing up and I always thought it was always underrated given how little people talk about nowadays so I’m glad to see it getting the love and attention it deserves. Great job on the video Wyo!!
One of my only claim to fames, is that I'm one of the fastest players in the world on the timed events on this game. I must have replayed the story like 30 times by now, I adore the handling model. Thanks og Stuntman...
I love burnout and some need for speeds but damn nothing has arcade has figured out handling the way reflections had it down pat in stunt man, test drive (eve of destruction), and driver.
I have a collector's edition that I bought when I worked at EB Games. It's about 3000 miles away from me right now but when I fly out next month I'll take a look for it. I also still have the comic and all the extras that came with it(i think there was a pin, bookmark shaped like a car, stickers, etc. Its been a few years since I've looked at it.) Ur videos are so pure… not made for money, but as a labor of love. As long as you continue posting videos, I will continue sharing them.
This game rules, poured countless hours into it as a kid. I always loved the driving, it's clearly biased towards drifting and sliding, yet it always felt so natural, like how you never question cars sliding around in a car chase in a movie. Of course, the whole game is going for a classic movie aesthetic, but it's an aspect they could have completely overlooked but absolutely nailed. No other game I've played yet achieves the same feeling.
This was the first game I ever got on release day. I was *so* excited. This is one of very few games with a 1968 Camaro instead of the 1969 or NFS' obsession with the '67. Which, given I'm autistic, with severe OCD, and grew up with my grandfather's '68 in our garage, was a huge deal. God I miss this game. Oh, it's also nice to see the old low-res ducc again
Driver SF nerd here 22:40 The car had no driver, similar with the truck if you pay attention and Tanner is able to shift into empty cars. You can see that better when shifting into cars that are towed on tow trucks. 🤓

I would have liked to use more of DSFs ost, but alot of the tracks are slightly remixed film scores, which is great as far as game soundtracks go for a game based on old movie car chases, but it SUCKS because most of it is under content ID

here another thing why driver san francisco didnt get a sequel as of now (im saying as of now because i wouldmt be suprised ubisoft bringed it out of the blue, even more as they making MERCH from Driver SF) the reason why driver san francisco didnt get a sequel is...... Watch Dogs. Yes you are reading that fine, the reason Driver SF dosent have a sequel is because of Watch dogs, basically Watch Dogs 1 (2014) was originally Driver Nexus, a sequel to Driver san francisco which involved hacking, apparently this idea was SO far to the driver formula they decided to scrap that, and because maybe or the idea sounded cool or simply there was put many work into it, they decided to make Watch Dogs, reason that may explain why in watch dogs there are so many driver references
ubisoft used to make good games back in the day like the crew, watch dogs, assassins creed, far cry and driver san francisco, now they just make soulless games only for the motive of making profits
it's clear ubisoft has abandoned the driver series. if all the fans worked together, we could try to buy the rights to driver. it's about the only household name left that could stand any chance of being a gta competitor. rockstar has gone uncontested for far too long. i already have a perfect story for it that i've been refining in my head for over 15 years. i'm just not allowed to make it into reality because i'm a peasant. only the rich are allowed to bring ideas to life. or, a bunch of peasants all working together to match their power. of course, then the argument would come of who has a say in what happens in the game? my story ideas would be trampled by the chaos of the masses and just like many other community projects, leadership issues cause the whole project to get shut down or release as a completely empty shell of all the hype and promises it was supposed to deliver on. nobody's gonna help me raise millions of dollars to buy this franchise and then willingly just say, yup, i'm the sole owner of it. here's the driver franchise ip we all bought together. it's all yours. go cook us up a good ass game bro.
35:45 "It's the Game of Thrones helmet kick fact" I'm going to assume that you labeled LOTR incorrectly on purpose to drive up engagement. So here it is you wacky duck in the van down by the river.
I dont know if you know it, but the 2010 Flash game Road of The Dead has literally the same protagonist as this game. Theyre named John, almost same voice, they drive like crazy. Good recommend if you ever wanna play it. Its almost the Half Life of Flash games.
my favorite game (trackmania) is owned by ubisoft but man fuck this brand. Everything around them sucks so bad you just can`t evem think about buying one of their games anymore. Let`s just hope that when ubisoft gets bought by tencent or any other stupid brand we can actually start to see cool stuff with the Ubisoft`s IPs because oh man there are a lot of insane ideas that they just tossed in the bin
@KylarTyphlosion I'm not really sure what the deal is with it. It's been over a year since we've heard anything about it, but I wouldnt be surprised if they dropped it as part of their "restructuring." (Fancy way of them saying they are dwindling FAST)
I might offend some folks but I was and still am one of those that enjoyed Driv3r more than San Francisco. Everything about Driver San Francisco just felt wrong. The characters weren't badass anymore, the storyline was childish and the game was made by woke people unfortunately. Now I'm not saying that it's a bad game but just doesn't feel like a driver game to me

Wait. Did thay cancel lazerhawk?
@KylarTyphlosion I'm not really sure what the deal is with it. It's been over a year since we've heard anything about it, but I wouldnt be surprised if they dropped it as part of their "restructuring." (Fancy way of them saying they are dwindling FAST)

I might offend some folks but I was and still am one of those that enjoyed Driv3r more than San Francisco. Everything about Driver San Francisco just felt wrong. The characters weren't badass anymore, the storyline was childish and the game was made by woke people unfortunately. Now I'm not saying that it's a bad game but just doesn't feel like a driver game to me
"made by woke people"
Opinion automatically dismissed.
How was it childish yeah it's cheazy some times don't see what you mean woke by ??
