Want to thank you for your video. It was very helpful on how to deal with patterns that are more complex. So once you have Pattern dots drawn you cut the 2 pieces apart, then add seam allowance to each separated pieces. Appreciate the video and would be great if you could do some more like this one.

Yes Donna, when you have a black line inside a pattern means separated pieces, as you said once you have drafted the complete pattern you separate the pieces by the black line, add seam allowance to each one and sew them together.

When making pants in a plus size, how do I make the pants with elastic in the waist instead of having to use a zipper?
Hello Mary, there are some options, of course 1. choosing a pants already with elastic waist, 2. a pants with enough stretch fabric could be made without zipper (we need to consider the hips of course) 3. maybe the pants have pleats so instead the pleats you use this for the elastic band 4. coping a waist from an elastic waist pants to the pants you want. Here some ideas, tell me if they make sense. Greetings
Thank you for your reply. I don’t see many of the pants patterns that have an elastic pull on waist but I will try to copy from a pair of ready made
ones. This is for my 97 yr old mother who struggles with zips and buttons or hooks.
@@marywright308 Certainly for her will be easier with elastic. On the supplement 219 style #204 instead of pleats you can use elastic lutterloh.ca/product/319-winter-patterns/
I also wanted to make a short sleeved pattern long sleeved. When I exerted the length it did not look correct.

Hola otra vez!! Tengo otra duda, a ver si me puedes ayudar: hay alguna forma de calcular dónde poner el patrón en el papel? Es que o me toca poner añadidos, o desperdicio mucho papel. Incluso me ha pasado con el chaleco que me quedó como inclinado... Tienes algún truquito que ayude? Muchísimas gracias!!! Un saludo,
Si! claro que tengo un truquito ! ;) ... antes de pegar el patron, mido con la cinta (centrando aproximadamente con mi medida en la cruz) las lineas mas largas... para visualizar los puntos mas lejanos del patron, de esta manera re-acomodo el patron para ubicarlo lo mejor posible en le papel... cuando encuentro el mejor acomodo, entonces lo pego al papel.

Hi from North Carolina English Q: I'm a beginner sewer. Once the patter is completed how do I place it on the fabric before cutting it out. Using the Lutterloh system Mariana
First personally I tried my paper pattern on me, I cut and tape it with scotch. I could make some modifications to my pattern at this moment. When I'm ready, all my pieces needs to be placed on the fabric on the straight of the grain. Leave the 5/8" seam allowance all around.
Where would the large dot go or gathering place at the top of the sleeve to set the sleeve?
hi Leslie, the dots works as notches , each sleeve has their dots that we can transfer to set the sleeve.
Hola! When do you use your hip measure when making a blouse?
Hola! You can use both bust and hip for a blouse when you have more difference between your measurements , so the upper and the lower parts will be fitted according to your both measurements. Also when the blouse goes down until your hips , it's better to use both. Saludos

Primer papron con este metodo #90 pantalon la cintura salio muy muy chico que puedo hacer para evitar esto.

@Maria Vega , el ajuste de la cintura es fácil, en el pantalón lo importante a checar es el area de cadera y el tiro. Si estos dos últimos están bien , la cintura se ajusta moviendo el punto lateral a la medida de su cintura (total / 4) y se traza la nueva linea que va desde este nuevo punto al punto de cadera.

Pero compre este metodo x ser medidas exactas y si tal vez un ajuste minimo y como le comente la cintura quedo muy chica...me gustaria ver si puede un video desde como haser el padron asta como cocerlo... muchas gracias
