- Unfortunately I didn't capture the Ferrari on camera when it sped away while the enforcer was asking for his license. And I was unable to secure permission to use the footage that was captured by a local TV network.
On the News it was reported that the Ferrari driver was ticketed for illegal parking and disregarding traffic sign. That's incorrect. The ticket was illegal parking, obstruction, reckless driving.
Some people asked why the motorcycle was impounded but the Ferrari wasn't. When the motorcycle rider was stopped, he was unable to show a drivers license. That's why his bike was impounded. The Ferrari driver had his license with him. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
If you can afford a Ferrari, is irrational to run from very cheap ticket..

MMDA should be teamed up with police. Police evasion is in itself a crime. Don't explain the law. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. Just start writing the ticket then say "fight it in court". That's what the responsibility of the court system.
From what I understand the reason why it's the MMDA enforcing traffic laws and not the police is because the traffic violations in Manila are so bad that the police would be using way too much of their resources to enforce the law

1. Filipinos think that if it's in front of their house, they are entitled to park there. Basically, they think anything in front of their house is an extension of their property.
2. MMDA enforcers should really have the power to detain drivers while calling for a police officer.
3. In many countries, getting involved in a chase with authorities usually comes with jail time, regardless of the initial violation, because you can be detained for questioning/investigation.

Ang hazard lights ay hindi permission to park anywhere and anytime. Hazard lights should only be used for emergency situations like life and death and car issues.

This comment is about the mustang driver on your previous video when away and eventually stop. Here in San Diego, Ca, he would've been hand cuffed and hauled his butt to jail for evading police, reckless driving in addition to the basic violation. His car would've been impounded also. My finger moved faster than my thought process.

I hope the traffic enforcers will show strictness in implementing the traffic laws, some Pinoys are really stubborn. Charge him any way. Give him a hard lesson , don't be a softie, officer.

Traffic enforcer: You have a violation for not wearing a helmet. Show me your license, please.
Offender: My license is at the house.
Traffic enforcer: Why? Is your house the one driving and not you??
These guys have to be on a Quota system. There is no leeway to them.

These enforcement's from the MMDA are good and should shape change in behaviours. But we all know it will not, most will continue.

I think what any govt should be re ticketing expensive hypercars/supercars due to moving violation, Gov't should pro rate it based on its yearly registration fees plus distance the offense started from and ended (meaning getting pulled over) in the freeway. Of course, there are extreme exceptions.

Philippines will never improve when it comes to traffic because fleeing from a traffic enforcer doesn't really mean you get bigger fines, you get the same fines as your violation...Philippines traffic laws have no teeth...
