I hated it with the american cast, but one of my favourite things about the Aussie cast is how they did their best to do British accents but you can still hear the badly disguised Aussie accents, especially with Cleves XD for some reason that's extremely endearing to me.
But they are singing in there aus accents, Australians are of British descent, as the British would send convicts to Australia, because of this the accents are quite similar, and not the whole ‘g’day mate’ voice/accent, and while singing we are taught to sing using British vowels to sound more proper, so yeah, hope this helped
I’m from the UK and this was on my recommend I thought Shannon was spelt wrong but you can actually spell it that way apparently 😂

They were used in forced labour (e.g. to built infrastructure) under the supervision of guards so they definitely weren’t defending for themselves until they died. idk the energy was great being there, maybe it just doesn't show as well in the video. also it was their last show of the week so they were likely tired
