- Ah, so obviously this is not the type of video I would normally post. I am trying still!
Anyways, one of my besties sent me the audio to the original studio recording cast and I couldn’t really find it anywhere else, so to make it more accessible, I just thought I would post it here!
Obviously, the picture isn’t of the cast, however I couldn’t find any high quality pictures of them, so I decided it’d be best to stick to a nice one!

Who's the most underrated 'cast' member for Six?
In my opinion, it's Toby- he isnt really a 'cast' BUT he wrote the musical and pulled a Lin-Manuel by playing Catherine Parr when no one else could! He was like 'screw it, the show must go on!'
Right! In my honest opinion, it’s everyone that wasn’t the og West End.
Every queen gets their own love, but so many people are salty about Millie and such leaving. This whole musical is about the queens being their own and not compared. Man, all of them are so pretty and incredible. Six is one of the many reasons I’m extra gay lol
Both of you are absolutely right. Yes, I was upset about the queens who left, but I was excited to see the new ones. Every single person who’s ever been in this show, and every other show ever, deserves incredible amounts of respect. Yes, you can have a favorite queen and a favorite song, but you definitely don’t have to go off comparing them. And I mean yeah, Toby did pretty awesome there. I personally agree that if they weren’t og west end, or one of the swings that came along shortly after, they’re underrated as ever. I get that it takes time to get attached to the new performers, but they’re all still incredibly talented, and they deserve the same love the original west end got.
ERM, what about Lucy Moss, she wrote the musical too??
I personally think the ladies-in-waiting are the most underrated! Literally no one talks about how they're characters as well.

The new one is ultimately better for the show but MAN I absolutely love the ending. The little dance break before the last verse is so catchy and I adore the ‘queens leaving the past behind’ part it’s amazing
I much prefer the instrumentation in this but the new one flows better
The beginning of this megasix is based on a song called Greensleeves, which was written in the 1500/1600(I think). It was thought Henry wrote it to Anne Boleyn, but I believe it was written when his daughter, Elizabeth, was ruling over England. That's why they gave her greensleeves for the costume.
And ironically Anne’s the only one without sleeves.
Catherine Xiao Well, no. On the actual dress, theres no sleeves, but op is talking about the sleeves on her forearms. So, technically, she does have sleeves.

I think that they changed it because it was too long and that parr needed more lines? Maybe? But I love it lol
If you’re dumb Your dead to me I think they changed it cuz' they wanted SiX to give more "concert" vibe than "musical" vibe. Because this MegaSix was more of a song that plays at the end of a Musical compared to the one we had today. There is a trade online where you can see the Edinburgh Fringe SiX and the Arts Theatre SiX but sadly I cannot trade something or buy it.

What I really like about this is that it has instrumentals that kinda sounds like 1500s mixed in with the modern pop in the musical.

tbh I love the part when they switch songs like “all you wanna do is touch me, *ive had enough* see” I adore that. And also where they go like “there’s no way cuz, all you wanna do baby, cuz I’m unbreakable, so don’t lose ur head.” I love where parr doesn’t do her song and instead. “Alas my love you do, we’re through!” Love that.
Well to be fair they need to sing it for 8 times a week. That might damage their voice.

Millie from marketing is kind of Overrated cuz her voice and the new London Boleyn (the They/them person) had the same kind of squeaking kind of voices
There’s a part of me that wants to see and know how the original cast performed the rest of the show because I love this version and I’ve only seen the west end cast but so curious as to whether the original off west end cast had performed the other songs a little differently too
i’ve seen the tour cast and the songs are totally different in style

I’m talking about the original cast (eg the ones that record this version and the album version) because if this is the original mega six then I’d love to see how they done the original show to see how far it came in changes.

They changed the show to make it more like a concert than a musical that’s why this song was changed, however I LOVE this version
I think it would be a good last show ending, like when they close in west end (not soon, I hope), divide the song between every cast of six and make it a mega megasix :)
I dunno why, but this Megasix makes me think that there was originally a trumpet player in the band, which is probably TOTALLY untrue, but there's a lot more emphasis on trumpets in this version, while in the current one, it just seems like a sound effect, here it actually sounds like a trumpet player is part of the band. Unless they have an orchestra underneath the stage or something.
Probably Joan with her keys. Keyboards have that other instruments option.

That was definitely a trumpet it doesn't sound like a keyboard set to trumpet it would have been interesting to have a trumpet

I mean, possibly? It’s a solid theory, but from the historical documents we have Greensleeves wasn’t even around when Boleyn was alive, it was made like a century after her death i think? Solid theory though...

To Find a mega mix that’s from the original cast is really hard to do plus it’s so different from what is now portrayed as the Megamix so this is really different and cool to see.
