- Instead of chasing after life, and/or reacting to it, we can actually find a place of stillness within, and this Gobinday mantra is perfect for doing just that. I have found that the tune along with the mantra helps to slow down the mind and therefore the entire body system, bringing a sense of inner security, anchoring and peace no matter what is happening in life. These words are from Guru Gobind Singh the tenth Guru of the Sikhs who lived in the 17th century in northern India, not only as a warrior in times of great struggle and effort to protect human dignity and religious freedom, but also as a saint, sage and poet. This mantra gives not only courage for life, but also the security that all is well in the creativity of the Divine. I recommend chanting along with this tune and feeling the blessing of the words any time of day or night when you want to let go of stress and relax. But then if you can make a regular practice of chanting it with awareness and intention, it can bring a sense of strong and sustaining serenity within.
My gratitude to Benjamin Wedemeyer for capturing the energy of how I feel this mantra awakening consciousness and working in the body system. It was a very special day of filming where we found inspiration and connection in the beautiful nature just outside of Frankfurt Germany on my day off during our 2024 Heartflow Tour.
