- Today I am back in Koi Mecca Japan. I visit the Dainichi Koi Farm, the Big Koi Pond at Maruhiro, Conias Koi Farm and Shinoda Koi Farm.
Its also Hunter's Birthday so I go to the Koi Museum to find him a small present.

I had koi fish did good for 4 years. Then a hawk found them and slowly I had zero over 6 months

Cheers Yvo. Really enjoyed this video. Them Dainichi Karashigoi were amazing. Plus the round pond, never ceases to amazes me.
Only down side was Hunter. I fully understand why people kiss his ass, he has money to burn. However, his money will will soon run out. He is clueless about koi. I have seen his arrogance in action at The Marudo KF.
I noticed the fish are used to being moved around they don't put up a fight or anything in the nets .

Yes, Niigata seems to be oké. Lots of after shocks and breeders where pretty concerned because of the strength. No reports on Nagoshi yet, that is more close to the epicenter and to coast. Let’s hope it is all oor

I do have fish… but not in my own pond ;) I can’t take care of them being from home that much. In the future I will have a nice pond somewhere 😃

Hi, why do they spin the Koi before picking them up?
They make them a little disorientated so they are calm when pickup up. Good question 😃

I'm thinking the same. That is an unusually large tadpole. Wondered if it was from the giant salamander but idk if they even makes tadpoles. Please mr. Koi Partner enlighten us ;)
