Hey, just wanted to pop in and say how cool this video was to watch. Getting to see the cockpit and listen to the pilot explain things was such a cool experience. Thank you for uploading.
KSMO is my homebase but this video reminds me when Jet Suite X was about to open flights twice weekly to LAS and Carlsbad and San Jose flights in 2017. A week before they were about to start, Santa Monica City determined they were gonna shorten the runway from 5000ft to 3500ft. They were gonna operate the ERJ-135 outta there for just $100 roundtrip. I even remember seeing this beauty above my house when they were doing the training flights before anticipated service. It was so ridiculous to see that ERJ just a thousand feet over Santa Monica. Such a bummer this aircraft never really operated out of KSMO. Would've been the coolest thing ever! Awesome video, the aircraft seems like a really awesome regional jet!
I think JSX prepping to fly into SMO is what lead to the airport's demise. Residents were so up in arms that an 'airline' was starting service, that they sacrificed a major part of their runway just to ensure it doesn't happen. It's actually quite sad, because that could have been an extreme positive for all sides.
RyanBomar Oh it would've only benefited the economy. A wealthy city like Santa Monica with millionaires there would've loved to use JSX as a premium service that's just under 20 minutes away by car to the airport. As well as low income people can use the cheap flights they offered to travel without the hassle to drive up to an hour to LAX. Lots of revenue could have benefited the city, airline, and services indirectly. Such a shame the residents around the airport are being prioritized. The airport has existed for over a hundred years and those who bought property around it - should have known the consequences the we're getting into.

I still fly in this exact aircraft all the time. It's a work horse. Lanya is not with Contour now. She is a wonderful person!
Gorgeous aircraft, great cockpit tour and explanations. Always look forward to your videos Ryan. Best wishes
Thank you so much, Julie! It's always cool flying on a carrier that I've never flown with before. The crew was fantastic.

She is a looker. That's a unique livery, and looks stunning on that type.

You rock, Luis! Thanks for stopping by and checking the video out.
Saw it in Las Vegas. Surprisingly bold livery! Usually small carriers don't get too creative...
Exactly! This plane stands out a mile away.

Thank you for the video, it's a shame 30 year ago the price of pilots school scared me away 😢
That was the story for a ton of people, like my brother. 30-40 years ago, you can have thousands of hours and nobody was hiring.
Awesome. Who do you have to know to get the nickel tour?😉
I hope they are hiring! I’d love to fly the EMB 135
