These live shows were unreal...the energy felt like being strapped to a jet for 4 hours! But Sunshine always brought you in for a smooth landing. Hard to believe it's been 30 years
Electric in Nashville, TN 1996. Wow, I miss these raves back in the day we never had fights or any type of violence. I miss the dance circles with everyone having a spiritual type of experience.
Luton Hoo and the Tribal Gatherings back in the mid nineties. Me and my mate lou lou in the Nexus tent having it large with Dubtribe - CJ Bolland etc etc etc. Days like that are worth staying alive for, for the few memories we can actually say...........WE WERE HUMAN. AND WE ACTUALLY ONCE HAD A SPIRIT, BEYOND WHAT HUMAN IS NOW EXPECTED TO ACCEPT. !....MUCH LOVE, MUCH LOVE. NEVER GIVE UP HOPE. XXX
Reminds me of the first Summer Love at Paradise Valley between Squamish and Whistler on the river. What a trip that was. In both meanings of the word....... I want my party scene back. And my planet back.
Oh man, this was one hell of a hit for them. I was booked in with 8-Track to rig / program and run the main room light show at Ushwya and when getting to take my first break of the entire weekend, walking to the other warehouse area I found them LIVE playing this! (Side note, I also met one of the main promoters of UK's 'World Dance' events at that show which helped me head to the UK in '98 for a few weeks - it was a GREAT time be working in the scene I'm tellin' ya!)
just found a copy for a couple of dollars in a charity shop in beautiful condition in the southern most part of Australia. How it got there I don't know but thankyou whoever donated it
Daaaaaammmmnnnn !!!! Parthenon was the shizzle in downtown. Then we'd go slumming at Ozone with Rick West. Hammerjax was another one with Tony Faline. 1509 in Ybor and the list goes on. Firestone in Orlando is a notable mention with DJ Brad Smith vs. Keoki on a 4 turntable battle.
Some of us young fellas get it, but it only makes the sweetbitter emotions of listening to 90s electronic music more bitter, realization of how good(better) music was in 90s and that I will never be able to experience the rave of those times 😔 But still greatfull and respectfull to artists who make art like this.
