What ever happened to this guy, loved his mixes and he was such an awesome guy to be around, so down to earth and loved loved playing records for people
GJL Creative Studios Never really heard anything about him personally or whatever but baaaadddd ass DJ, Actually gave up on looking for it a few years back, thought I’d give it another try, hell yeah this shit is good I’m glad I found it...
He is alive and well. People. He did not die. He’s just not into djn anymore. I spoke w my friend Reza of go ventures. They had met up a few years back to catch up. He’s fine people
Yes, yes and yes....a staple go to for sure!!!!Having a hard time getting a hold of RAW..."shit aint got no fucking drums"intro kick. HMU if u got some of that homebase.😎
HAHA! He did not have a huge EGO at all. Was a close friend and he was one of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. I used to hang with him a lot in the late 90's. When this tape came out he was the hot act! One of the best DJ's to see live in my opinion since he really cared about the mix and the vibe of the underground. Thomas you are missed my friend! Mad props to all the great parties we did back in the day and to all the great memories!
glad you cleared that up. It was a rumor going around in the facebook groups. I cant be sure one way or the other. All I know is I loved his mixes and this tape is a classic. Thanks for commenting
I saw him play for over three hours as the sun rose over antelope island which was on fire behind him, and many other times. He always seemed like the nicest guy, and the vibe he created was perfect. I wore out every single one of his tapes I could get my hands on, but Audiogasm made my head spin with dreams of djing like Thomas Michael.
ok, so you were a close friend of his... perhaps you can actually answer the question nobody seems to have an answer to.... what happened to the guy? I mean he straight up disappeared off the face of the earth in the early 2000's.
i bought this tape (and kiss the sky) from 611 records in philly. id say late 1996, early 97. i think i still have the tapes somewhere :) never saw him play on the east coast, but i loved his sound
Never heard of "Kiss the sky" but if it's from this particular time period I would seriously looove to hear it. This and Supernova are in my top 5 dj mixes ever! Had em for 20 years and still cherish them. Your link is down it says for me. Can you please repost?? It would make me sooo blessed!
He was one of the regular DJs for the Roofless Parties in Denver, CO. I must have heard him play countless times, but didn't remember what he sounded like, so finding this tape is really awesome. Thanks! Anyone have any recordings from those parties?
Any luck finding those tapes? I would kill for the Mercury ones. Was a very, very special night for me. I don't recall if Thomas Michael played that night, but I remember Skylab 2000 and Johnny Vicious.
Anyone know what happened to Thomas- and I would say ego wasn’t exactly the right way to describe it- he could put people in their place, though- like if they came to the dj booth & interrupted him when he was trying to spend time with some1. Used to see him at the SoCal clubs- party always went off when he was in town
I've read rumors on some YT comments that he OD'd. I looked on FB, there's someone with his pic that say he studied @ Art Institute of Atlanta. Only saw him once in early 01 in Austin TX, by then things were on the way down at least for Prog. Trance. Fucking Supernova this and Kiss the Sky, shit all his mixes are amazing.
Thank you, my favorite mix ever. I love this tape!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're quite welcome. It brings back the memories for me too. Each track is a classic.
GJL Creative Studios Totally.. i also like DJ dan 'loose caboose' i was barely a rave person but got to see both of them mix live.
Anyone listening to this in 2019 and reminiscing to the good rave days ( for me 98-01, but I love pre-98 mixes! )
Magic Wednesdays😊
my favorite mixtape of all time. I cant believe this is over 20 years ago
I had that cassette, wore it out :) Glad I found this on here.
What ever happened to this guy, loved his mixes and he was such an awesome guy to be around, so down to earth and loved loved playing records for people
I heard he had an ego. He was dating Mena Suvari from what I heard. GUess he gave up the music.
GJL Creative Studios he didn't have much of an ego at all. Not compared to like Christopher Lawrence or Jason Blakemore.

So what happened to him? He was a resident DJ at a club I did here in San Diego in the 90s. Still one of my favorite DJs from back then....
I saw him play for over three hours as the sun rose over antelope island which was on fire behind him, and many other times. He always seemed like the nicest guy, and the vibe he created was perfect. The DJ that showed me how to rave as an International Student back in Cali!
Phenomenal DJ..... Completely an outside human being
outside human being? not familiar with the term.
