As a person whose played both TDS and TDX for a long time, Idk if either of these updates are directly applicable. I mean Both battle passes for these events were grindy but they still had quality skins, As for Story? Well I mean there certainly was way more lore in TDX than Lunar Overturn, I mean apart from ACT I which was pretty well done, Though ACT II left a lot to be desired and ACT III flat out sucked tbh, Like we could've of gotten so many other things, but why did we have to fight the puppet master? Like come on man.. Ofc I should state I don't support TDS anymore, The way they handle there game is not something I don't agree with especially with all the heavy monetization and simply adding more grindy features to the game like the Index which wouldn't be bad if you only needed to kill a fixed amount of enemies to get the log book instead of having a drop rate in place. Also the Re-hash of the Frost Invasion event was UTTER GARABE Seriously I have nightmares about those cutscenes now, though Ill be honest I did like the redesign of the Frost Spirit. TDX is a game I started out hating simply with out different it was, but slowly grew to like more and more with how bad TDS became. Honestly I realize now TDX has way more potential now than it ever did. That's not to say there aren't things I don't like about it, but my hate for TDX especially starting out was unjustified, and the things I hate about it now are really miniscule in comparison to TDS. I am not here to hate on you, at the end of the day its your choice to leave and or hate the game. Im just saying I dont see your reasoning as to why you hate it.
@@onlinename7697tds frost invasion event was alright, bad pacing, reused code, bad cutscenes like in hexscape. tdx has good cutscenes, dogshit gameplay and if u arent using speedups then the pacing can also be pretty bad, not as bad as chapter 3 in the halloween event which i forever will think is the worst chapter in that entire event. from what ive heard people only say chapter 3 was good cuz of the "atmosphere" and how it was like a "warzone" or something silly like that idk. i was pretty annoyed that they decided to just grab chapter 3 but make it straight path and winter but then again frost invasion was just krampus revenge but frost spirit is the boss, also towers getting murdered just got annoying cuz john decided "lets make every enemy be able to fight back" which sounds cool on paper but in actual gameplay it just gets so annoying placing a tower and then its dead, this is also because tdx just love spamming a fuck ton of enemies for no absolute reason i get the mode is called nightmare but enemy spam and silly mechanics and gimmicks do not make something fun and more like some torture method, although tds cutscenes are an even better torture method. uhhhh anyways thats kinda it from me maybe ill go into detail about my opinions some more in some dogshit video nobody will watch uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh congrats on being the only normal tdx fan ive met???? uhh ok time to forget this youtube channel is a thing for 2 weeks again😴😴😴
yeah same. i think seeing this makes me also want to quit. i think that says something as someone who has EVERYTHING in the game. yes, i have the ranger sparkles. yes, i'm needlessly flexxing. he's honestly just not very good at running a game. he lies constantly. fufills no promises. tdx is tower defense slop and i can tell.
TDX is currently the best TD game and i belive it is here to stay because if the devs were able to pump out that many new updates, QOL features, cool new towers, skins, even amazing events all in one year, and the wonderfull OSTs from the amazing music team is just wonderfull, and now especially with the new cutscenes added to the game the future of this game is looking brighter than ever, yes it has alot of flaws especially how grindy it is, and the battlepasses being too grindy too, but those things are done to keep players playing for a bit longer, and how hard some events are, but thats only nightmare modes which are soppose to be a challenge anyways, no wonder they were gonna be hard, and just saying i am lvl 133 in TDX and 227 is TDS so what i say is coming from experience, tds has many cool things but i feel like they leave many things in the game very old or they just dont care about it for example hardcore, whens the last time it got any changes? The commanders dialoge is very old and it looks lioe commander before rework, and many towers in the game are useless like painballer and many event towers, and many towers are just left like the bee guy and many more which leads me to belive that TDX is here to stay, i have many more things to say but im tired its 3AM i better get to sleep
@@poglin9005 I mean he has a point, John has a tendency to add things and not update pre-existing stuff them, Like the 4 main modes which can easily be cheesed with late game towers like Golden Jugg/Ranger, Ghost is pretty much a direct upgrade to Operator. Though at the same time, Comparing TDX and TDS simply isn't fair, TDS has had at a minimum of 3-4 years of time to update there stuff where as TDX has only been around a year.

90% of tdx is outdated while most of the other outdated stuff from tds has been gone besides hardcore which hardcore is literally getting reworked
