Thank you Dileep!! Greatly appreciate it. And yes, Costa Rica is ridiculously expensive. A lot of things were more expensive than in Australia!

@@walkerlust im middle class and i dont see it as expensive as you mention :( ..this country is expensive when you compare it to central america we know that and wish it wasnt , if you come back someday you should check our fresh markets they are quite good, everything is like half the price and sometimes a third of what you spend on a supermarket if you are vegetarian is a paradise i spend 30 dollars weekly and basically have every fruit and vegetable i need. .also the dollar lost a lot of its value , it has lost almost a quarter of its value in 2 years and it seems you came the time the dollar was the lowest now is stabilized some were worried about the dollar losing so much value because it might afect our tourism industry which is 6 percent of our economy it doesnt sound like a lot but it is . it seem you had a bad time im sorry .

@@rioluna6058 don't apologise!! Costa Rica is a truly beautiful country, but I think I just didn't love it as much as the other countries I visited. Also I feel you about the dollar. Being Australian and with our currency, we lose out a lot against the US dollar as well.
I also didn't spend enough time in Costa Rica to fairly judge it and was in the most touristy areas, which of course had hefty tourist premiums attached. And that also makes sense because 6% of income from tourism is HUGE, so it's definitely something that is relied upon for locals.

@@walkerlust yeah there are cities , small cities , and tourist towns i know how you feel about those prices there, but to be fair we costa ricans also pay that when we travel our own country a lot of people go to colombia is cheaper traveling there. i know a fairly share of this country and small cities are better but since is so mountainous to travel around is tiring , infrastructure here in CR is a pain . i think thats the reason we have the separation between tourist towns and real towns or cities , but i hope you had cool memories , but i recomend doing that aproach in lots of countries is better to get to nearest city and not on the tourist spot. there are some cool cities here i think smaller cities are way better than our capital, our capital f scks .

@@rioluna6058 yeah, I'd have loved to have been able to see a more authentic Costa Rica but unfortunately had only 2 months of travel and I just didn't have the time. There's never enough time 😭

Ahaahh it's a rite of passage. The burns scarred terribly, so I guess Costa Rica is with me for life 😅

Aw thanks so much!! I was there in March this year - the end of the dry season so it was sunny a lot of the time! I hope you have a great time in Costa Rica ☺️
