Damn. Time flies. I was 17 in 1996. Now I have a 18 year old daughter. Few months ago when I was listening this music back again in my car she said the music back in the nineties was so much better then now.
I was 15 and life was so, so much better and much more simplistic. People weren’t angry and arguing over everything and anything. Was great being a teen in the 90s.
Oasis, Alanis Morissette, Bush, No Doubt, Smashing Pumpkins, The Prodigy, No Mercy, Gin Blossoms, Fool's Garden, Everything but the Girl, The Cramberries, Pet Shop Boys, Garbage, Collective Soul, Michael Jackson, were and are my favorite groups and artists.
2021, the best year of my life, 25 years old, pandemic, mask, restrictions, social networks, shitty music like regaetton and current dance and listening to 80's / 90's / 2000 music on spotify and youtube because the current one I can't stand ,the same go miss the 90's even if l have never lived it 🥺
Life goes to quick I was 15 in 1996 great times😁I just hope our kids can have a as good as days as I had no phones internet better days ,and God watch over them and all kids and us 🙏
90's was the purest year for me. Maybe i'm happier bc when i'm going to sleep i can't see people's life except from tv, and i'm not overthinking bout unreachable happiness.. what a simpler life..
This is the year I was born! I'm making a playlist of songs from 1996, and this is so helpful. I so wish that I had been an adult in this time period. The 90's were everything. The fashion, the music, the movies... what a time to be alive. (And old enough to enjoy it lol)
Interesting how even bad music from 1996 sounds better than bad music today.. Nowadays too many people use autotune (they also had ways to fix vocals back then)

1996, the back-9 of my (so-called) working career. There's nothing wrong with nostalgizing an era so long as one remembers to appreciate the present day for its potential; then it sorta validates the nostalgia.
I was 17 in 1996. Good times in the 90's. Ppl were less uptight back then as well. I'm hoping something happens to break the monotonous times we cringely embrace today.
the 90s have been so unbelivable good.. too be I was born in 92 : ) I even like the Backstreet Boys, because you have to admit even as a Boy... those songs were good! but take a look now at the 2010s+ ... all shit
Other good 1996 hits: Stone Temple Pilots - "Big Bang Baby" Alice In Chains - "Heaven Beside You" Soundgarden - "Pretty Noose" and "Burden In My Hand" Radiohead - "High and Dry" Rage Against the Machine - "Bulls On Parade" and "People of the Sun" Pantera - "Drag the Waters" Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Aeroplane" Cranberries - "Free To Decide" and "Salvation" Butthole Surfers - "Pepper" Beck - "Where It's At" Everclear - "Santa Monica" Green Day - "Brain Stew/Jaded" Nada Surf - "Popular" 311 - "Down" and "All Mixed Up" Rancid - "Time Bomb" Goldfinger - "Here In Your Bedroom" Foo Fighters - "Big Me" Some of these songs were released in '95, but became hits in '96.
Obviously this list wasnt composed of someone that is a fan of rock. They just threw in some chart topping rock hits to make the list more "balanced" and "complete". 🙄
I was 19,didn't listen particulary to any of these(i was techno, trance &electro freak),although remember almost all of them, but it was realy good era to live...
Me in 1996, bleaching my hair to be blond like Gwen Stefani 😁😁😁 she was my teenager idol at that time (something like Billie Ellish nowadays). No Doubt was one of my favourite bands ❤️
Born in 1991, so this is the first year that I have pretty significant memories of. I was 4/5 in 1996 and my brother was 8/9. This makes me remember all the fun times we had playing and listening to the radio. My brother was a little Weird Al in the making, and I remember the two of us sitting in the back seat of the car and him making up parodies to these songs when they were on the radio 😂
Please bring that times back, it was the best time of my life: no corona, no smartphones.......
Damn. Time flies. I was 17 in 1996. Now I have a 18 year old daughter. Few months ago when I was listening this music back again in my car she said the music back in the nineties was so much better then now.
indeed..my 15yo daughter said that too
Me 12...now a son with 12
Me also was 17 that year... And my 3. y.o. daughters favorite song is Wannabe by Space girls.
Nobody cares you complete idiot!

Don't feel lonely about this! 😀
Bro
Same here😂
I got sober in 1996 and alot of this music really helped ( thank-you DC Talk ). And, yes, here in 2021, I still am....whew!
I was 15 and life was so, so much better and much more simplistic. People weren’t angry and arguing over everything and anything. Was great being a teen in the 90s.
Life was at a slower pace then, everything is rushed now
We just didn't know about it.
The advent of social media has a lot to do with why people these days have become so overly sensitive.
Agreed
I was 6 dancing at the school disco 😎 🕺 👯♂️ 💃
If only I could turn back time. I love 90s era..no fake people, no social toxic media.
1996 - BSB, Prodigy, Robert Miles, Spice Girls, Celine Dion, Jamiroquai, Fugees, Alanis Morissette, Toni Braxton OWNED the year.
For the past year I have came to the realization that 1996 is the greatest year for music.
I love that year. I remember being blown away at the music videos coming out then especially tonight tonight by smashing pumpkins
A great era of timeless music which far surpasses todays hits.
It was a strange time. I was 13 in 1996. So many good songs and such a cool lifestyle in 1996. But was to shy and introverted to enjoy this time ...
Coco Jamboo, this song was pretty popular in Europe along with other Eurodance tracks
1996, the best year of my life! 26 years old, carefree, even enjoyed my job and nothing but good memories.
you were lucky for sure, that year sucked ass
2021, the best year of my life, 25 years old, pandemic, mask, restrictions, social networks, shitty music like regaetton and current dance and listening to 80's / 90's / 2000 music on spotify and youtube because the current one I can't stand ,the same go miss the 90's even if l have never lived it 🥺
I turned 18 in 1996, and it was awesome!!
I turned 21 in 1996. Good memories. Thanks ❤️

Dont be sad
U lived at good times
Don't worry, be happy)))))
Feroxing12 i was 13 and yes everything was awesome i mean everything
Yes totally diferent

This is golden, I prefer nearly all of these songs over what we typically hear on the radios these days.
Can't believe these songs are 25 years old!
Me too
Lauren Hill.... Nostalgia.... Oh boy do i miss the wonderful 90's... ))

What a music was...what a times was... what a love was...what a life was... i want go back home..... home to the 90s...
you said it all mate
Insomnia stands out SO MUCH! It hasn't aged at all! 😍
I love these videos. It's like living my life again!
Interesting how even bad music from 1996 sounds better than bad music today.. Nowadays too many people use autotune (they also had ways to fix vocals back then)
I was 25 then, great tunes man, thank you:)
no internet , just MTV top 20 and turn up the speaker volume everytime your favourite song playing
Actually yes we had internet, but literally like not 1 person used it other than once or twice for the simplest of things.
Thank you very much for for this memory
Amazing job, what a decade. Jeff Buckley rip.💙
I was 17 in 96 , it was an unforgettable year to me .
The best era was the 80s and 90s on this music. Today's music sucks 😔😣😭
2000's were decent as well, the 1st half of the 2010 weren't bad either. Music started turning to shit around 2016 onwards
it started to suck from that fucking 96 anyway, just the degradation became more notorious from the 2000 onwards
Today you have to turn the trash upside down to find 1 good song. And in 90 's you had to turn the gold upside down to find 1 trash song.
Exactly! But some songs of 00-s were cool.
Nothing like 90's music!
Nothing like 80's
90's 🤮

I was 9 in 1996. The 90s were such a great decade.
i was 15 years old at that time. We didnt have Radio, only a white and black TV with local channel. Some of these songs I heard just from neighbours tape.

Let's be real: music today is S H I T. We didn't appreciate how good it was in the 90's, we were so lucky to live that era of permanent hits!!
Let’s be real 60’s 70’s and 80’ music is forever. After that it is a blur of one or two hit wonders. Most are forgettable.
I always appreciated the music of the 80s and 90s, they helped me through a terrible childhood environment.

Many people watching this know most of these songs by heart like it was yesterday even though it's been nearly a quarter of a century.

Music before 2010 will never go out of style. The best music, largely created by British artists.
I was 13. Lotsa of "oh yeah that" moments now. Gary Barlow, 3T, Bush, Alanis, 2pac. Damn the 90's was great!
Queen Mariah Carey , King Michael Jackson, Janet, Mary j Blige, Blackstreet, Nas and Lauryn Hill, Monica, Ll cool J, Brandy, Tupac, Warren G and Adina Howard, Fugees, Ginuwine, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Toni Braxton, Georges Michael are my favorite

Takes me back, - makes me happy i enjoyed these times.
This is the year I truly remember growing up with music. It all started here. I was 9 yrs old.
1996, the back-9 of my (so-called) working career. There's nothing wrong with nostalgizing an era so long as one remembers to appreciate the present day for its potential; then it sorta validates the nostalgia.
I became a senior in high school in 1996. So many memories!

I was 17 in 1996.
Good times in the 90's.

I'd wish that I have a time machine 😂😂.
How tf is all the R&B I listened to in sixth grade still sound so damn fresh in 2022
Warning, Nostalgia level: LETHAL.
I like that this channel has a lot of Eurohits. Eurohits were so underated.

not in us. the charts are so stiff.
Agree, now its literally all reggaeton and trap, so sad

the 90s have been so unbelivable good.. too be I was born in 92 : ) I even like the Backstreet Boys, because you have to admit even as a Boy... those songs were good! but take a look now at the 2010s+ ... all shit

The time when people used to wait for their favourite band/singer to release another album.
Great video!
Quarantine took me back to those beautiful school days!
My teenage years. I remember saving pocket money so that I could buy batteries for my transistor radio.
If only I could live those days again 😧😧😧
