That is one of the most beautiful models ever simply by virtue of the subject matter being so beautiful, and GMP have done a bang-up job on it!

C'Bell ~ my NERO 330 P4 GMP 'PROVA' has unfortunately lost both of IT's Headlamp Covers, and its finely fabricated Winshield Wiper as well.
Do you know If, where &/or How i can get 'replacements' ?
Actually my KicKOffs are stripping also (CROMODORA Knock-Off hubs), it may be that the axles strip. I don'o which it is, but i have a BLACK 250GTO also, and the 'SpinnerS' keep coming off, do not Tighten Securely.

Sorry to hear about all the lost parts. I would try reaching out to the company or better yet diecast forums. Maybe a collector may have extra parts. Good luck.

I own this one and I don't know if I was just unlucky but mine started falling apart straight out of the box, maybe its the glue they used but by falling apart I mean, every single part becomes unglued , engine , glass on lights , windshield glass top, hood part, mirrors I paid top $ for it and I was soo disappointed , and its still coming apart... oh and I forgot even the paint job was sloppy on the hood too

Sorry to hear that. It sounds like you got a lemon. It is to bad this is a real nice model. I have had issues in the past with beloved collectables and I know the feeling. Good luck and thanks for the comment.

I still love the concept of it, I guess ill glue the parts back on some day, its just I lost one glass part for the head lights... I'm eyeing the jaguar by exoto kindda like you have, I hope the quality is better though, kindda scared to be honest

The Exoto is miles apart in quality. It would be very hard to find anything better. Even the packing it came in felt like an engineer had designed it. These XS models are like fine works of art. I highly recommend owning one. Thanks again.

Just came across your video. Awhile ago, I bought both P4 spyder and Berlinetta in red (made by the "old" GMP before they went bankrupt and were bought and "restarted"), but ended up returning both. I knew that something bothered me about those models the moment I looked at them (they are the same mold used for your black P4) - I admit am picky and have mostly CMC and Exoto. FYI - I did figure out what bothered me fairly quickly: 1) The GMP model looks unnaturally "jacked-up" for Paris-Dakar, not LeMans, because the wheel arches are unnaturally oversized by about fifty percent. Moreover, this is actually indicative of a much larger problem - the proportion of the model is wrong, and, because of it, the model shape does not really "gell" into a singular shape as with the real car, but remains an conglomeration of various unrelated curves. If you ever saw the real car (in a museum, or at least in photographs), you would know that in real life, it makes for a singularly muscular sculpture - kinda like a Jaguar type D but with sharper "bones" stretching its "skin". This effect is completely lost in the GMP models. To me personally, it really does not matter how many details are squeezed under the hood, if the overall proportion is all wrong. Unfortunately, there is still no better model of 330P4 out there, except, of course, the 312B by CMC that is arguably the ultimate development of P4 that did not win much that year. But at least, in their model, CMC successfully captured the properly low stance and proportion. If you do value truthfulness of exterior aspect, I'd suggest having a second look at the photos of the real 330P4 and comparing it to the GMP model, and deciding for yourself if it still has your approval. As for me, I do not compromise, and will not own a shitty approximation even if it is the best one available. Cheers!

+yory teperman Thank you for your insight. I agree that both Exoto and CMC are far superior. In the end it is important that you are happy with the model and not what others think. Thanks again.

I would be interested what you think of the 330 P4 model that Amalgam make in 1:18 scale?

@@richard3542 oh boy, a whiff of nostalgia as you were responding to my post from seven years ago. Since you asked- I do not collect sealed models be they resincast or even proper zamac diecast- because I am interested not in styling but in car design. Design differs from styling because it is a rational process with its own rigorous procedures. That is why I value models like CMC and EXOTO XL series (now defunct) - as I can lift the hood and see that it was a sepercharger or turbo intake or whatever else that created that shape. It is good to understand why, for example, in a Ferrari 275GTB the front edge of doors goes so far forward than say in 250GTO- Because that is the only way with such a wide "shoulder" in 275 (which 250 does not have) to allow a door open yet remain close enough that someone sitting down can reach out and close it. That's design, it has its reasons which are completely lost in a sealed model. So, back to what you were asking- that model is a sealed model- it captures shape fine but has not much in way of tactility and does not capture Design, while capturing well the styling of a car. I will not buy it... Cheers!

@@yoryteperman429 - thank you soo much for giving me your own own experiences and reasons 🙏 I can totally relate to your logic and your deeper appreciation from a design perspective. Usually with models I am very much the same and I appreciate the specifications and design that a car or plane possess.
However with regards to the Ferrari 330 P4 this car’s exterior styling is simply a drawback to my childhood enjoying drawing sketches/shapes of racing cars and this is a complete one-off.
Regarding the Amalgam model, the reason I am considering this one is because most other obtainable models get the P4’s styling slightly wrong (most notably that more lower, longer and more slender front half of the car). Unfortunately at £850 UK or $1100 US, I find myself questioning if I am insane to spend this amount of money on a non-metal resin model, but as Ferrari put strict measures on 3rd party model production of the 330 P4 I may just have to cough up the cash and take the hit to scratch this itch 🤦🏻‍♂️
Thank you again for sharing your much valued thoughts. Ultimately we all share the same passion as each other and I think the real connoisseurs of cars can love and appreciate their models as much as the real thing🙏👍

      Hello, Richard,
if you asking me to confirm that the buyer's remorse is on the cards for you with Amalgam, the likely answer is 'yes'. I own more than 40 CMC's, Exoto XL and a couple of older metal BBR's (both better than CMC), most I purchased between twelve and five years ago for anywhere between US$200-$300. I still purchase models though rarely, and did pay $600 for a model once. For comparison,I bought Autoart's Alfa Stradale 33 for the princely US$110 in stores; Now you would be lucky to find one for $1500, which is insane. So, nowadays I am strategic as when I get into prices $1k+, it starts competing with my other interests as I can put that extra grand towards a better amp, or towards a new Rolex, in other words, towards something 'meatier', more meaningful than a toy.
On the other hand, I know the 'heart' of my collection is prob'ly no more than ten models. I can divest myself of the rest without regret, but without those ten, there will be no collection! If you believe that Amalgam model is the missing heart of your collection, then go for it by all means!
