This is such a good song! I knew you would love it! You're going to love Trench as well. There might be a few songs that are less your style, but you have to expect that from Twenty One Pilots. I think you should react to Nico and The Niners next, since it follows the Music Video lore, then Levitate through the rest of the album. The 3 songs Jumpsuit, Nico And The Niners, and Levitate are the core Lore Music Videos. Other songs are either lore adjacent, non-lore. Some, we can't agree if the belong to lore 😂. Trench is a metaphor for Tyler's mind. It is a vast continent with wild unfamiliar places. There are places he needs to leave, specifically the city of Dema. We learned that Blurryface is the Antagonist, he likes to beat Tyler down, drag him into those dark places. In Trench, we learn Blurryface's real name is Nico. He is not alone. There are other Bishops who try to manipulate Tyler, who will now be referred to as Clancy in Lore. Did you see Josh on the Cliff? He had a yellow bandana so you might not have recognized him. Josh is the Torchbearer, and defacto leader of the Bandito's who try to help Clancy escape the dark parts of his mind. They wear yellow so that we can identify them. But this marking is not visible to the Bishops because they cannot see yellow. Yellow also symbolizes hope.
