Im so happy when i get to watch a realistic paycheck budget that i can relate to. Some budget videos pull out 10 plus binders and do 10 plus savings challenges. Those feel more like playing with money videos than budgeting.
I fully understand Sandy. I was feeling like that when I first started budgeting. I was like I going to record my little shovel because I’m not seeing anyone that don’t have a lot to work with
I agree. Cause every time I start saving something happens and I have to get that money out and start all over again. 😞
@@lifeofknk77 I know the feeling. Same here but like 50 cent say. I’m going die trying 😂
I also feel like those channels are showing off with their large amounts of money.
well said
Congrats on being monetized! No one deserves it more than you and Ashton!! ❤
Thank you Sebigirl❤️
Thank you for posting such realistic videos! I love your content. Your budget is very similar to mine. I’m a single mom making $14 an hour with no extra help. All the other videos I see are cash stuffing these challenges that cost money to get and I don’t even have enough to pay my actual bills. You’re doing great things! ❤️
Thank you Larissa. I wish more people would share their budgets. In times like these we must get the most out our money and be mindful of our kids and our future. Keep on pushing mama you got this
I love the realistic video! Im not in the same place now but ive been in a pinching pennies spot before so i feel this. Congrats on being monetized!
I’m glad you’re monetized now; I’m sorry for your loss!!
Thank you Daniel❤️
Congratulations for reaching over 4,000 subscribers!!!!
Thank you Patricia ❤️plus what a wonderful name. My mom name is Patricia.
I just now had her channel come across my feed. It’s a lovely channel and I subscribed today.
I have spectrum internet as well (WA State) not sure if you have done this yet. I called spectrum internet and try to negotiate a lower rate for internet. I did and went from $72 to $52 for a year. Whatever I can do to reduce my month expenses helps. Single mom, no child support, foods stamps or any help. I do it all alone, but God is faithful!
Same here!
One of the few very realistic budget on TH-cam I can truly appreciate it and can relate too ❤
Thank you! I try to show how I live hoping that it may help someone that’s living just like me.
Hey, nice video. I dropped cable 9 years ago. I just have internet and firesticks. I save a lot doing this. You are doing great.
Congratulations on becoming monetized!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you Kay❤️
Love the video, you will get caught up with your bills just stay focused.😊
Thank you Kisha ❤️I’m trying. Life is lifeing right now. I’m going keep pushing though

Thank you Jamie❤️
I'm from the UK too and I'm so glad we have the NHS
Emily, I'm glad you're feeling better. Good Job focusing on getting caught up.
Thank you TNDee. It’s be bad couple of days but I’m getting through it. I couldn’t shake the sickness so I had to go get into more debt and go to the er and urgent care.
I just found your channel, and want to thank you for your honesty and showing us what a real budget for low income family. I also want to make a suggestion on your food budget, many churches and food banks give out foods for people in needs . I do this at my own church once a month
God Blessed you and continue to work on your budget.
Automatic sub. Thank you for being real and honest. You deserve good things to come your way
Thank you so much Brittany
I stumbled on you channel and I subscribed. You're encouraging.
@@TFlowersThank you so much. Welcome to the family❤️
Really enjoy your honesty! Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
I'm so glad you have that retirement. Great budget! ❤❤❤
Yes! It’s definitely going to save me in my future. They way things are going with the economy might not be no social security in the future. Thank you for the Covid care package. I should be showing the items in the next coming videos. Im going attach my happy mail to one of those. Thank you so much.
You’re taking care of business. Good on you
Thank you!
I don't have any kids and I make 3X more than that but I live in Florida. I think it's more expensive. I live in a tiny studio for a thousand a month. I'm also a graduate student and I spend most of my money on that. My tuition bill every semester is like the cost of raising a child.
I was just thinking someone in a major city might make much more money but also paying much higher rent, more expensive clothing budget for a different line of work, etc.
Same
Both my parents were custodians- elementary and middle school. I send you lots of love and respect.
@@yayableu thank you. Yaya❤️It’s a hard job but someone has to to it.
I’m rooting for you! So for rent I would suggest spilting the $950 instead of taking it out the whole paycheck this will make it easier on you. I’m rooting for you!
Thank you! Yes! I tried to do it that way but the way my due dates are set up. I have more bills due with my first check of the month. I would have to move all my due dates around.
Thank you so much for your videos. Im trying to make it out here and just started doing a weekly budget since i get paid weekly. I appreciate you being so open about this topic. It helps me for 1
Your welcome. Yes ma’am a budget is a must no matter how much you make. Everyone needs to plan where their money is going.
I'm a new subscriber and your video hits home lord knows we pay out more than we Make. And i budget much as i can i work 4 days out of the Week.I have a stockpile as Well.I have 2 young adult children who go to college from Home.
Your exactly right Barbara. Welcome to the family. It’s such much to pay for in life. I’m sure your kids appreciate you as a mom. Keep striving. Best of luck to your kids going to school.
Just found your channel and INSTANTLY subscribed. I'm so excited to see a realistic budget. You're doing it, new friend!
Thank you Music Art. Happy to have you here and thank you for supporting my channel.
Sorry for your loss. Thank you for this true life budget channel!!
Thank you!
This is a really good and inexpensive home made laundry detergent that I have used for years. Grate (using a box grater) 1 small bar (4.5 oz) of Fels Naptha soap, Grate it as fine as you can (you can also put the grated pieces in a food processor if you have one, but it's not necessary.) Mix the grated soap with 2 C Borax, 2 C washing soda (not baking soda). You can use Ivory soap, or Dr. Bonner's castile soap instead of Fels Naptha, but that will not remove stains and heavy soil as well as the Fels Naptha. You can also add a cup of baking soda to this mixture, but I find it works just as well without. Mix well and keep in an airtight container. Use two tablespoons per load of laundry. This works out to about 6 cents per load. If you have a front loader, you can put this in the dispenser tray and if you have a top loader, just put it in the bottom of the drum and let water fill a bit to dissolve before adding clothes. The only disadvantage is you might have to buy a larger box of the Borax and washing soda as these do not come in smaller sizes, but this recipe works very well. Fels Naptha soap is also an excellent stain remover - dampen the spot on the clothes and rub with the bar of soap. This will NOT suds up, but will work very well. It also will not hurt a H-E machine.
Thank you and thank you for the washing powder recipe.
My Mum just asked for a bar of this! Said it’s also great on stains. I had no idea we used this when I was a child.
Congratulations on getting monetized! I'm wishing you huge success and hopefully that can be another good source of income. You're getting it done!
@@MistakesWereMade-MWM thank you! I love your name.
That state retirement is a blessing. If you can squeeze out a few dollars every paycheck, please consider investing in your state deferred compensation plan as well. It lowers the taxes coming from your paycheck even more.
@@DRJ-ytp would this be a 403B plan?
YES! My mum did this when she made lower income and she is now working with some good funds many decades later! Her work matched her amount saved for a portion of the time as well.
@@DiaryofaSingleMom-ov7xf in my state these plans are under 457b. Some states have 403b AND 457 options. Best to check your state retirement plan website.

I’ve been watching for another one of your videos to come out; I really enjoy them! Congratulations on over 4K subscribers, that’s amazing! I’m not sure if you already do this or not but maybe film actually stuffing your cash envelopes and saving challenges in a separate video.
Thank you so much. Yes I do cash stuffing and my next video up is my cash stuffing video and then I’ll have a bonus cash stuffing coming up as well.
I was about to say this my check before taxes at 21.18 hr at one of my job.
Great video
Thank you
You're focused on the right stuff. Do you also budget monthly for saving to an account for semi regular expenses like auto insurance, car registration, auto maintenance etc.? Also, you might have too much being pulled out of your paycheck for income taxes. Do you get money back every April? If so, you might consider taking a look at recalculating your W2 so you get more net income every paycheck instead of getting it when you file your taxes.
Thank you. Yes! The August 15th paycheck I took out for car insurance. I budget every two weeks when I’m paid. I don’t have much taxes took out my check and basically when I get a refund for taxes I’m just getting the credit for having a child. I pay my car registration as it come up. It’s really cheap so I just pay it when it does. I do plug money into car maintenance as I can. I’m basically starting over because I just had an car emergency recently. Thank you for watching and supporting my channel.
So sorry for your loss
Thank you ❤️
Wow this is brilliant 👏

Great video 🎉
Thank you! You Rita.
If you have never been late with Spectrum and have had them for at least 1 year, call them up and ask to reduce the rate. Just directly ask them that question. They will be able to drop it by 5-10 a month. I had them for 7 years. Started with the 50 a month intro and every year they kept bumping it up. It got to 80 a month so I asked to drop it.
Thank you! I will try again that one time they were nasty when I asked them. I’ll try again.
@@DiaryofaSingleMom-ov7xf That is how they are. I am going them money, on time, every time, and they will act like I am some kind of burden by being a customer at their job that they volunteered to take on. Don't let some miserable over the phone person dictate your future like that. They also bumped up the total bill every single money by 3 dollars in July 2024 for everyone that is enrolled in the US. I am thinking about moving to Frontier. Sorry you are dealing with this. Talk to Salvation Army or Goodwill Admin side (not the store) to see if you can get free wifi. Single parents with kids under 18 usually are eligible.
So sorry for your loss. Do you have a Zelle account? I was a single mom with no child support too. However, I had/have a supportive family. You are doing a great job! Thank you for sharing your budget. ❤
Thank you! I have my Cash App and Amazon wishlist listed in my description box. Thank you for supporting my Channel. Yes! family support and support in general is always a plus. I don’t have much support but I do value the support I have. I value the support here on TH-cam because sometimes I get down but the people here on TH-cam always remind me to keep going. This is why I keep doing the videos cause I’m hoping this helps someone else that’s trying to just make it.
👋 Hey Emily! Watching 👀 6:58 I have budget billing for utilities (also a single mom making >$20/hr.) and i love it. If Mint mobile is an option it can save some 💰 also ❤
Thank you! I’m still in payment for two phones when I’m done paying for the phones I will definitely change services. I’ll check Mint Mobile out.
Can you do a video on how you stockpiled and what you suggest trying to stock in case something like this happens?
Yes! I will share how I shop to create a stockpile. Thank you Musicart
Hello, thanks for sharing this with us. Have you tried food banks or pantries to help with groceries. I do, I'm just sharing with you.
great video as always-so relatable. now that you are monetized would you be able to include that amount in your budget videos just so we can see how that works with youtube pay? it's okay if not just always curious how much youtube actually does pay and i don't think the internet gives an accurate answer when you look to see. Thanks!
@@amym3581 thank you! I have no problem sharing that. I will share it in my next budget video. I have a couple of videos prerecorded to be released this week but I’m going share my first TH-cam Income inside my budget. I plan to use the money to pay off debt and fund a certain sinking fund.
@@DiaryofaSingleMom-ov7xf that is awesome thank you so much! 😊
Please think about splitting your rent between both you monthly paychecks. It gives you some breathing room for real
Yes, when I was first married; my husband got paid weekly;( I was a young stay-at-home-mom doing odd jobs) and we would divide our major bills into 4 so there were no surprises at the end of the month.
I was interested in doing this but the way my due dates are set up it wouldn’t work out. I tried it before. I would have to call and rearrange all my dates. Might be worth it to some.
Hi WOW 950.00 for a Low Income Apartment That Insane Expensive. I only get 261.00 and Each check so i don't work Over 19 hours it's the only Job i have. I don't think i could afford That Rent so Outrageous expensive. I Wish Rents Were Very Cheap like $100 or 200 or 300 it would Lift a stress Weight off people Shoulders.
Thank you Pumpkin. Yes! In Income base housing they go off your income. I no longer receive the subsidy to help pay my rent so I’m paying market rent now.

I got it Nko. I wish this situation was just that easy. Yes! She deserves it. Thank you so much.
stop with the after pay and klarna...
they just want you to miss one payment and BOOM
Is Klarna like a Payday loan? Those are such a trap! Been there done that.
@@budgetwithrenay2419 not like a payday loan but different, you pay little to no interest if you manage to pay it every month, but miss one month and all previous months interest hit you as accrued interest + fees
I didn’t know they hit you with interest if you miss a payment. I’ve never missed a payment before. I guess they just like any credit card then. If you miss a payment . If you don’t you don’t pay any interest.
💖
Great video but this is kind of depressing. They should pay you more.
I know. It’s hard work but they say it takes little skills so the less they going to pay.
Hey!! I'm also in SC and just landed a WAY better paying job than what I was making as long as you're within 2.5 hours of Charlotte. I'm not sure if there's a way to send you a dm ...and I promise a real person lol just can't post everything on the internet otherwise I'd just say it
