      I'm glad it helped bro. Yes, every mogami cable has lasted me over 10 years and counting. I have 50+ of them and not one problem.

    Dr. Archie, Would you give us your recs for where a vocalist should stand in the room for best acoustics? I mean, if it's not a tight vocal booth. I've read conflicting things. Thank you Sir.

    Hi Archie, loving the vids bro. A cool trick I learned from the Bruce Swedien Recording Method was to track your six inches away, then step back another 6-8 for your doubles if you do any. Defs not something to do on a lead vocal itself (unless the production calls for it).
    On top of what you mentioned, stepping back reduces the low end AND top end, naturally compresses the voice and you lose detail. 🤘😜

      @archiebeatz  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ahhhhh, How could I forget, lol. Would you believe I've have yet to try these Swedien mic technique? I'm definitely going to for sure. Thanks for sharing!

    Good advice another good one is getting a external preamp that gives you a lot more gain coming into your interface that way you can lessin the gain on your AI
    more gain coming in = better signal to noise ratio

    I'll admit I record too close to my computer. I have a 12900k with an AIO and it's noisy AF. Unfortunately, I don't really have any options for relocating it, though. 😞

    If it’s not Mogami cables (or Monster) I don’t use it

    • @archiebeatz
      @archiebeatz  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I totally agree but there are some people out here that build their own cables and do an extraordinary job. But you are right, Mogami and Monster are the safest to go with on the consumer/pro market. Thanks for commenting brother.

    Great insight as always!!! What XRL to TRS cables you recommend brother? for routing I have ISA currently running into my apollo twin and now experiencing those crackling sounds, I've troubleshoot everything, so I believe it might be my cables, eh probably started about a few days ago....

      What's up bro? Thank you. I've been using Mogami for over 10 years and as I just said on another comment, none of them have giving me any problems. Outside of my 10+ Mogami XLR to TRS cables running with outboard gear, I have 50+ of mogami cables total plugged in here in my home studio...NO PROBLEMS.. They are so dependable brother. Here are the exact ones I use for all of my preamps and compressors: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GoldTRSXLRM06--mogami-gold-trsxlrm-06-balanced-1-4-inch-to-xlr-male-patch-cable-6-foot

    Hey Archie! Love your vidz! Thanks for the good professional advice! One thing I've never heard of - what pop filter do you use? I use a regular nylon pop filter. Now I'm looking towards more transparent, aesthetically beautiful, with a metal mesh. So that when recording, the performer sees the microphone, and not the pop filter, and so that he does not cover his face much in the frame.
