I 100% support you on hunting trapping and fishing. It will be your next evolution in your bushcraft journey. Small steps Becky your doing well sweetie.
@Harry Moorehouse Sometimes people's reasons are genuine. You shouldn't make calls about other people's circumstances without knowing them and their commitments. You hit the right spot with Keith, but not me I'm afraid. We don't all live the same lives. Mine is full to capacity. I make the time for everything I can. A 'can-do' attitude can't conquer everything - I should know.
hi my frend you still can do it at you own pace .have a look at hammocks so good light to carry .im diabetic very overweight .i do it at my own pace.enjoy
Well done for taking on this challenge.... it's all good! Your compassion for others really shines through, which is lovely and quite rare today I think. Wales, the Lake District, or Scotland would be amazing locations for your videos, as you have all the skills to crack on and get them done!!
I always bring rice, dried beans , or dried vegetables. You can always catch rain, for water. I also carry enough para cord , or bank line to make snares. Believe your doing well, and thinking about improving is always good . Be safe, and enjoy the experience as well as learn from it.
It is so good to see a girl have so much confidence as you do . I don’t think I could do this bye my self,I need som one too take to. Can you remember your first time by your self ? Great camera work and a good video keep the good work up.🙏
I am a multi-season viewer of the American TV Series ALONE. Ten experienced participants get to take 10 items selected from a larger list and then they are dropped into separate but nearby wilderness zones. The winner is whoever can stay out and stay healthy the longest. Watching the series, I conclude that long-term survivors cannot rely on small game and seasonal vegetation, fruits and roots to stay fed and healthy. Successful snaring, trapping and bow hunting quickly depopulate an area of target species. Being able to move shelter to ever newer resource locations may be vital. Even fishing can be chancy: a 'fishing hole', in the pure sense means a prime habitat that fish compete for. When fish are taken out, others move in, allowing for a longer lasting supply of fish to eat. Having a reachable fishing hole is a matter of intimate knowledge of the locality and of chance. In your case, no matter the amount of food in the woods, the lack of water makes it impossible to survive there in a dry season.
This was a great couple of videos. If you plan on doing a longer duration self sufficient camp in Scotland I can recommend some locations with good resources. 🔥🏕️👍
i understand about what you mean about getting lonely out there , ive used animals to help me on my extended trips , i bring deer , rabbits and animals like that to me by putting apples , nuts around my site and would wait for them to keep me company , also great for hunting .
Try some protein bars to go along with your rice. Also some beef jerky is good. Beans and rice. Bring both knife and hatchet. Thank you for sharing your solo camping experience. Looking forward to many more. Have a super wonderful day.
Becky doing a minimal gear roughing it campout .. meanwhile back at camp dad , louise ( & mum ? ) getting stuck into roast chicken & a bottle of rose !!
if you have a lot of pine trees look for the pine cones and try to get the pine nuts before the squirrels get them . you can crush them up and add to your rice., another nice thing if you have around is wild garlic. in joy
Hi, good video, it looked like a great area to camp. You mentioned that you would bring a hatchet instead of the knife, but I would suggest taking both. When I camp, I always bring a knife and a hatchet because they are both very useful tools. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Rock On!
Miss Becky please do us a fishing trip...catch, clean and cook episode, that would be awesome. Your 3 day trip was interesting to watch, thank you pretty lady. ❤ from Texas.
Thanks Becky .. dont carry too much weight in them boots ,, although tough as hell .the soles are solid , being a medic ( dive medic) biggest probs carrying excessive weight is feet = impact injuries .bad blistering knee + joint injuries , carrying packs over 5 stone with solid rubber soles , being someone like yourself spending lots of time on your feetsies , it would be nice ten years down the line to see you still carrying a pack happily , all the best Beckypoptastic 😀
Thank you for that, really enjoyed both parts, and noticed your knife is one that I've been looking at getting, I'm assuming that it holds up fairly well, seeing one in action may have just swayed my decision.
I would have the honor of camping with her even though I do not know and have never kept outside under the stars and moon LOL but I would enjoy with her such a lovely young lady
More TOOLS = More Fun ! , Carry both Knife and hatchet, I prefer a Knife (or 2) along with a woodcraft 24" axe, I would also bring some sort of Dried or canned meat to add to your Rice since your not Hunting or fishing for meat, Food gathering is a Skill, BUT you do not have to practice it every trip out, also if you know your going to be out in damp weather, thin boots that dry faster is not a bad idea, not as touch, but keeping your feet dry and comfortable is important.
Hi Becky, Thanks for another enjoyable video, Have you ever given Sweden a thought for doing an adventure, you'rd have no problems with a water source as the whole country is nothing but woods and lakes? Obviously when it's safe to do so
you use the hot rocks to warm up your sleeping bad try putting some of those hot rocks into your wet boots when you remove them will help dry them out you can even put them in your wet socks too, if you have extra para cord make some bundles and hang the the hot rocks around you as you sleep in joy
I just turned 60. It is time to go back to the woods. Time to find my old tent. Camping always made me appreciate my simple toilet and shower.
keeping a journal (notes, thoughts, new ideas) on any mission......is essential.

I'm surprised how knowledgeable and well spoken you are considering how young you are.
Becky doing a minimal gear roughing it campout .. meanwhile back at camp dad , louise ( & mum ? ) getting stuck into roast chicken & a bottle of rose !!
Great job. I did a dead fall trap video with much less work needed than a figure 4. Put a 90 degree spine on hatchet maybe?
if you have a lot of pine trees look for the pine cones and try to get the pine nuts before the squirrels get them . you can crush them up and add to your rice., another nice thing if you have around is wild garlic. in joy
